Opis:
The technical condition of the blades has a critical influence on the reliability and life span of a gas turbine and an engine into which it is built in. The main causes of blade damage are overheating, creeping, thermal fatigue, high temperature corrosion, etc. It is often caused by adverse operational conditions or manufacturing defect, e.g. using insufficiently durable types of heat-resistant protective coatings or applied in an improper manner on the blade material. Reaction of coatings and blade material to mechanical and thermal loads depends mainly on the operating temperature of the turbine. Selection of a protective coating and material to manufacture a blade with an assumed strength must take into account its mechanical and thermal properties at maximum aerofoil temperature. The article presents characteristic forms of operational damages to the gas turbine blades of a turbojet aero engine. Distinguished were operational factors and their influence on the technical condition of coatings during the engine operation period. An influence of excess exhaust gas temperature on the condition of the heat-resistant blade layer was shown. Shown were also results of morphology tests of coating degradation types. Results of micro-structure tests of the blade superalloy after damage to the heat-resistant coating were also presented.

Opis:
The main idea of the work is to create scientifically grounded technological conditions for treatment of tab grooves in the discs from heat resisting steel, which stipulate formation of roughness of treated surfaces at the level of design requirements, useful compressive residual stresses and a defective surface layer, which increases reliability of operation of interlock in the absence of any defects on the working surfaces of tab grooves of various types, under conditions of maximizing efficiency of their treatment method. Dependences of roughness of the treated surface on the technological factors of the broaching process Ra = f (V, S, γ, HRC) have been proposed. As a result of experimental studies, the nature of distribution of residual stresses, depth and degree of strengthening of the surface layer, depending on the technological conditions of the tab grooves treatment, has been established. The article presents research of surface quality parameters; study all the selected parameters of the surface quality and surface layer and an algorithm to perform experimental work. The algorithm has been built on major principles of control and fixation methods, which stipulate use of non-destructive methods of control. Graphs of strengthening the surface layer of samples, depending on their processing modes and graphs of the distribution of residual stresses in the surface layer are also presented.

Opis:
The article presents the research results referring to the analysis of the influence of finish treatment (lathing, grinding, burnishing) on the contact fatigue of steel applied to marine pump shafts. The research was performed on a roller 25mm in diameter made of X5CrNi18-10 (AISI304 L) stainless steel. The lathing process was carried out by means of a Sandvik Coromant cutting too, the grinding was done by grinding attachment to a lathe, whereas the process of burnishing was performed by SRMD burnisher by Yamato. Within the research, the optimalization of burnishing technological parameters was conducted on account of the minimalization of Ra surface roughness coefficient as well as the maximalization of SU degree of surface layer relative hardness. The multi criteria optimalization conducted by min-max method with regard to minimum surface roughness as well as maximum degree of surface layer hardness demonstrated that burnishing process should be carried out at the following technological parameters: burnishing force 1.1 kN, burnishing speed 35 m/min, feed 0.13 mm/rev. In addition, the influence of the burnisher passes number on the surface layer quality was determined. It is essential for this research to determine the burnishing influence on the service conditions which comprises the electrochemical corrosion research, friction wear and contact fatigue research. The paper will present the research results of contact fatigue examination of samples after finish machining.

Opis:
The main idea of the work is to create a physical model of high speed broaching heat-resistant materials is used to study the parameters of the surface layer quality. Modelling is a method of mediated cognition, in which the object under study is in some correspondence with the model, and the object-model is capable in some way or another to replace the original at some stages of the cognitive process. Physical modelling is primarily distinguished by the fact that studies are conducted on models with physical similarity, i.e. preserving completely (or at least partially) the nature of the phenomena. The work of the broach can be likened to the work of a number of planning cutter displaced relative to each other by a small amount, which is called lifting (feed per tooth). Therefore, for experimental work, a planning cutter of a special geometric was designed and manufactured – a physical model of a broach, in which geometric, mechanical and dynamic similarity is realized. The article also presents an experimental justification for the use of the created physical model in the study of the surface quality parameters of the, tab grooves of turbine and compressors disks made of heat-resistant materials.
