Opis:
The paper deals with the influence of active car safety systems on driver‘s behavior in emergency situations, i.e. emergency braking, steering angle, etc. Several models of real vehicles have been tested in order to analyse the ABS and ESP systems operation efficiency. The results of emergency braking and stability in real vehicle testing with ABS and ESP stability control systems switched on and off are presented in detail. In order to get the maximum impact of ABS and ESP systems (full activated) the real vehicles were tested on the asphalt paved road covered with wet snow. Tests were also carried out on the road sections with different pavement and state. The XL Meter Pro Beta measurement device was used for the real vehicle testing. The brakes and active safety systems of the vehicles have been tested for their effectiveness at different conditions: when the vehicle is braking on horizontal wet asphalt, and on an icy gravel surface, at a different initial running speed: 40km/h, 70 km/h and 100 km/h. During the real vehicle testing the stability during emergency braking resulted in the assessment of influence of active safety systems on handling the vehicle and its stability, and the driver's behaviour in emergency situations i.e. on a slippery road, or at sharp steering angle. The results of real vehicle testing have been presented in the paper in the form of charts. Examination of a vehicle emergency braking and stability systems results in the conclusions concerned with handling of the vehicle ad application of the above systems.

Opis:
In this paper the results of a simulation of a sports vehicle’s braking maneuver in the adopted road conditions has been presented. The aim of this paper was to analyze the results and compare them with the ones obtained in the previous paper by the author, also prepared for the acceleration maneuver. At the same time considerations on the damaging effect of the road irregularities have been presented as this time no straightforward steering was included, so the vehicle could move freely. The simulated braking of the vehicle’s model started at the speed of 100 km/h and its duration was 10 s. As in the previous paper the random road irregularities had three different amplitudes which enabled analysis of vehicle’s deceleration on a different road conditions each time. Almost different profiles were also assumed for the left and the right wheels of the vehicle’s model which moved on the dry and the icy road surface.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki symulacji manewru hamowania pojazdu sportowego w przyjętych warunkach drogowych.

Opis:
In automotive technology attributes of the "driver-vehicle-environment" system are described as "vehicle handling". The driver has control of the vehicle generally by means of directional guidance, acceleration and braking, on the other side different influences as are side wind, road irregularities, road profile, sudden obstructions etc.from the environment affect on the vehicle. The task of research and development in the field of vehicle control is to adjust the vehicle handling to the driving ability of an average driver so that the active safety of the vehicle and passengers maximizes. Some selected vehicle characteristics and relations which influence the vehicle dynamics in braking modes are analysed in the paper. In particular vehicle influencing forces at braking, slip curve of the wheel, velocity course at braking, simplified parameters course, measurement preparation, measurement from the initial velocity ni =90 km.h-1, maximum braking deceleration dependence on tire pressure and velocity ni 1 on dry surface, maximum braking deceleration dependency on tire pressure and velocity ni 1 on wet surface, maximum braking deceleration dependency on velocity ni 1 tire pressure on dry surface, Maximum braking deceleration dependency on velocity ni 1nd tire pressure on wet surface are presented in the paper.

Opis:
For city and neighbourhood people transport, electric driven vehicle with advanced energy storage and electronic control system could be competitive for conventional transportation means. Advanced energy storage and full utilization of regenerative braking system leads to significant energy saving. Regenerative braking is particularly important in city traffic, where a lot of acceleration/braking cycles occur. Replacement of internal combustion engines driven cars with electric vehicles give various benefits: decrease of transport sector impact on climate warming by CO2 emission reduction and general human health condition increase by elimination of toxic exhaust gases components emission by passenger cars. Particular interest of EV research is focused on lithium based batteries and supercapacitors. Nano-Lithium-Titanate battery could be fully recharged in a very short time and current peaks have no damage impact on the battery. Such batteries have high Cycle Life value (25000) and long life calendar (20 years).Fast charging systems should be equipped with energy converter built inside charging station. The converter has to be based on intelligent control system, for charging parameters setting (stable voltage, charging current, charging time) for different electric vehicles. To estimating charge/discharge characteristic and regenerative braking effectiveness, a simulation in MATLAB environment has been performed based on factory parameters. Graphical simulations results are presented in the paper.
