The piston with piston rings and bearing surface is a self-contained and highly complex tribological system. One of the most widespread global friction pairs traversed by reciprocating a pair of ring - cylinder liner piston - rings - cylinder internal combustion engine. Group PRS combustion engine is the solution generating considerable friction. Various researchers estimate the share of friction losses, per node piston rings - cylinder liner, at 19 to 60% of the total friction losses in the combustion engine. This paper describes part of a larger program to reduce wear the set working parts (piston, piston ring and bearing surface). The project is implemented through the development of new designs of piston rings with anti-wear coating that contains synthetic diamond in the form of loose embedded in a coating of chromium (PRS). The aim of the authors was to present the methodology used to compute characterized by a particular procedure. In practical use FEM software is used and the FVM. Developed and implemented Piston Rings Calculation Module is compatible with the idea of numerical computational methods is to say: functionally consists in carrying out a calculation of the desire to achieve the exact solution (the nearest is real) by conducting and receiving intermediate solutions (the next).

Opis:
One of the most common worldwide rubbing couple which performs plane-turning motion is a pair of selling rings - cylinder sleeve of a Piston - Ring- Cylinder (PRC) system of a combustion engine. It explains the necessity of performing investigations concerning the phenomenon occurring in rubbing couple PRC. One of the most important issues is the friction losses as well as losses of the working medium from the combustion chamber. Mathematical models of gas flow in the PRC are described in the literature differ in the way of description and scope of the phenomena taken into account. In this paper approach to determine the flow spaces between the rings considering the effect of the geometry of the PRC system has been proposed. Investigation conducted with aid of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) were aimed on determination of flow resistance within the surface between the piston, rings, and cylinder liner. Aim of the study was achieved - The pressure field. it has been found that it is possible to determine the pressure field in the space of the PRC system basing on the approximation of the generalized transport equations for a discrete geometric model using the finite volume method. The precision of the results depends on the account in the form of boundary conditions as well as external conditions.

Almost all engine failures have an influence on engine's vibration, which is described in the article .Of course not every time diagnostic system can report of that. This is a reason why detection of vibrations must be accomplished with high quality diagnostic systems. Therefore, Doppler laser Vibrometry based on scanner Polytec had been used. To achieve full diagnostic results multidimensional vibration's function has been invented, where the torque moment is used as an extra parameter. Measured vibrations were subjected to digital signal processing like windowing, fast Fourier transform, filtration byfinite impulse response windowed filters. The results of measure and processing per-form inform of contour 3 D plots, which indulge in speed estimate of the usefulness of presented method. Tested engine performance, vibration measurement parameters, adopted diagnostic circuit, Digital processing of vibration signal, Vibration versus torque and magnitude spectrum (contour vibroacoustic map) of engine in good working order; co = 2000 rpm, contour vibroacoustic map of engine in good working order; co = 4000 rpm, contour vibroacoustic map of engine with fail of injection system; co = 2000 rpm, contour vibroacoustic map of engine with fail of injection system; co = 4000 rpm, contour vibroacoustic map of engine withfail of turbo charger; co = 2000 rpm are presented in the paper.

The paper presents results of analysis of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) concentration and toxicity emitted from 1,9 TDI self-ignition. Because of unstable parameters of self-ignition engine work (pressure and temperature jumps), PAHs were extracted from two phases: gas phase and solid phase (particle matter - PM). A chromatographic method (Capillary gas Chromatography) of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons identification and analysis, because of their low level of concentration in exhaust gases, needed to be supported by sample purification and enrichment stages. Calibration of the chromatograph was made by attested mixture of 16 model samples (according to EPA, USA). Two different methods for toxicity estimation was used in this researches. The authors used relative carcinogenic coefficients (RCC) which was determined by Nisbet and LaGoy for individual polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in relation to benzo(a)pirene. Samples consist PAHs was also tested for cytotoxicity in standardized cell-culture system (human cell line A549, mouse fibroblasts line cell L929). Cell growth, cell morphology and cell viability were used as parameters to determine the cytotoxicity of the materials. The measure the lethality effect on cells was determined spectrophotometrically with the use of a mitochondrial enzyme activity assay for mitochondrial succinate dehydrogenase activity by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT assay). Cells were exposed to the biomaterials for 24, 72 and 120 h. The results of in vitro tests are discussible. A lach of correlation between toxicity measurement methods which was used in these researches was observed.

One of the main interests of constructors is an approach to the optimal load exchange proces s and consequently obtaining the maximal cylinder filling. Aiming at the cylinder's filling improvement caused rapid development of supercharging in all its transforms, more perfect and sophisticated. One of such approach is a dynamic supercharging commonly used in engines with fuel injection. In order to improve working parameters operating in precisely predetermined rotational speed the dynamic supercharger can be applied as a union with a turbo supercharger or as an independent system This objective is relatively easy to achieve for a single cylinder engine, however for a multi cylinder engines it appears to be more complicated. It has been determined that dynamical supercharging as opposed to turbo supercharging is proved economically and efficient engine response improvement procedure. The objective of presented paper is creating as well as calculating a stepless supercharging system of the resonance compression combustion engine used as a drivefor motor cars Proposed system consists in the connection of the existing solution of the continuous change of the geometry system through the change of the length only resonance lines with the change of the volume of the resonance reservoir.
Jednym z najważniejszych zagadnień konstrukcyjnych silników spalinowych jest zapewnienie optymalnego napełnienia cylindra silnika spalinowego. Poprawa napełnienia cylindra jest najczęściej realizowana z wykorzystaniem różnych systemów doładowania, a najczęściej w tym celu stosuje się turbodoładowanie w wszystkich jego odmianach. Jedną z odmian systemu doładowania jest doładowanie dynamiczne lub rezonansowe. W niniejszej pracy zaproponowano nowatorski projekt układu dolotowego, którego zadaniem jest poprawa napełnienia silnika w szerokim zakresie prędkości obrotowej. System ten jest relatywnie prosty w przypadku silnika jednocylindrowego, jednakże w silniku wielocylindrowym jest bardziej skomplikowany. Doładowanie dynamiczne w wersji ograniczonej do określonego zakresu prędkości obrotowej silnika jest obecnie szeroko stosowane w połączeniu z turbodoładowaniem. W pracy tej przedstawiono obliczenia bezstopniowego układu doładowania dynamicznego silnika o zapłonie samoczynnym przeznaczonego do samochodu osobowego. Zaproponowany układ polega na połączeniu istniejącego rozwiązania płynnej zmiany geometrii układu poprzez zmianę długości tylko przewodów rezonansowych ze zmianą objętości zbiornika rezonansowego

A technical object is wearing down and stop s to do its function what is connected with becoming a problem, in case of vehicles, especially in environmental aspect. The recycling rate of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) has to increase to eighty-five per cent to 2014. Nowadays few methods of recycling can be mentioned. The most popular based on disassembly, second usage of recovered materials trough fragmentation and separation of raw materials and incineration of Automobile Shredder Residue (ARS) using maximum energy recovering and minimum emission causing processes. In this paper the methods of vehicle recycling was analyzed and discussed. Especially raw materials separation aspect was taken into consideration. An average sample of ARS which is a composition of materials like rubber, plastic, wood and fibers which is use as an alternative fuel for co-burning process in industry, was analyzed. Because of metals and organic compounds (PAHs - Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons, VOC's - Volatile Organic Compounds) toxic emission problem (combustion gas emission and waste emission with cinder) in ecology aspect it is very important to know chemical properties of burning fuel. The ARS very often consist potential hazardous on human health chemical compounds or compounds whose thermal treatment products are toxic. Even if concentration of potential dangerous compound is very low it can cause very serious consequences for environment and humans. The results of chemical properties investigation of alternative fuel from vehicle using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry) method are published in this paper. Also alternative solutions for those wastes (ARS) usage are proposed and discussed.
