Steel floor structures for which the grillage is a computational model, are used as carrying systems in building engineering, e.g. in buildings intended for warehouses. The linear and nonlinear static analysis was carried out as well as the verification of grillage sensitivity to the effect of stability loss. Updating of structure geometry description with every step of load increment and updated Lagrange description was applied, and for solution of equilibrium equations the Newton-Raphson method was used with matrix updating with every step of load increment and after each iteration. At dimensioning of the cross-section should be still added conditions connected with internal forces, so-called limit state of load capacity, which requires to fulfill additional conditions, e.g. related to local stability, geometric imperfections, warps and so on, of individual fragments of beam's cross-section, causing increase of rigidity of the grillage and thus carrying away possibility that nonlinear work of the structure occurs under the right conditions of using. Accomplished assessment of the grillage's sensibility to additional compressive loads Fx gives quantitative information relating to their maximum values, so as to fulfil the condition of the limit deflection as well.

Opis:
An analysis of flexural work of a plate girder in elastic range has been made in the work taking into account stiffeners of a web as a counteraction to web buckling effect. A path of states of flexural equilibrium has been determined as well, also taking into account the axial compressive force. The analysed plate girder has relatively large span and then the bending moment is a dominant one among internal forces, the normal compressive stresses determine local stability loss and application of the transverse stiffeners does not much affect increase of resistance to local stability loss. On the other hand, use of the longitudinal stiffeners increases the buckling sensitivity coefficient, i.e. results in increase of global buckling resistance. Application of the transverse and longitudinal stiffeners over the whole span of the plate girder causes that its global buckling resistance increases about twice, as the value of the buckling sensitivity coefficient raises from 6.04 to 13.24, while its weight increases not much − by 11%. The transverse stiffeners will have meaning when the tangential stresses from shearing forces that usually occur in the areas of support have the crucial influence on local stability loss. Other cases of occurring significant shearing forces are plate girders under overhead cranes and plate girders of railway bridges that are loaded with large forces concentrated at the places of contact with vehicles’ wheels.

In this paper a numerical approach to analyze the dynamic stability of a ribbed plate subjected to harmonic loading is presented. The harmonic balance method and the modified Newmark method of direct integration to solve the equations of motion are used, Unstable regions which include resonant frequencies of the external load are discussed. Then the Stability loss occurs by flutter, i.e. exponentially growing oscillations. The modified Newmark direct integration method to analyze the equations of motion is used. Some results which describe the time history of resonance vibrations (unstable) and those nonresonances (stable) are presented. The  effects of constraint parameters such a modulation depth beta and constraint frequency fi are investigated. Also the initial load and internal damping are taken into account. Physical rigidity of plate may be changed by adding initial tension load, and currently resonance vibration will transform to non-resonance. Stability of the system by means of initial load is the more effective, the larger is the system rigidity in the direction of putting the load, as then may be introduced larger value of initial load. Opis:
The article presents a static analysis of the existing three-axle tipper semitrailer using the finite element method. The tipper trailer frame must be strong enough to carry loads from the load while driving, during an accident and especially when emptying the load box when a very large part of the load is pointing at the rear of the frame. Frames are usually made of low-alloy steel with increased strength, most often of grade S355J2G3; duralumin alloy frames are also used. The currently designed semi-trailer frames are becoming more lightweight while the required load capacity and durability are retained. This is possible thanks to the use of computational methods by the engineers in this finite element method. Static analysis allows for the determination of stress and deformation in the loaded frame and also a possible modification of the frame. The aim of the work was to investigate the influence of the position of the crossbar on the level of stress and deformations for three different load situations of the frame.
