Opis:: Socio-economic development entails the increase the number of vehicles and the need of deciding about reduction of negative effects of the air pollution growth. Tendency to reduce the emission of noxious products of diesel oil combustion in engines, treatment of the CNG as a fuel seems to be promising. It seems, that in the future, ecological aspects will matter more and more in Poland and UE, so considering ecological advantages of CNG as a fuel, probably this technology will be more widespread. Obviously, the development of this technology requires the competitive price of CNG with respect to the traditional fuels. In the article technical and economic aspects of vehicle adjustment to CNG supply is presented. Aspects of the adaptation of diesel oil and petrol engines to CNG were also brought up. Another significant factor which influence on the operating costs of using CNG were gas storage. In the paper actual methods of storage of natural gas supply are presented. Scheme of CNG feed system, decrease of emission of pollution at replacement gasoline and diesel by CNG, prices of diesel and CNG in years between 2004 and 2009, investment outlays for buying buses in public transport company in Rzeszów and numbers of natural gas vehicles in 2006 and in 2009 are presented in the paper.

Opis:: One of the problems becoming increasingly important in the exploitation process of each technical object is effectiveness expressed as a ratio of the value of obtained results to the related expenditure. There are several criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of the exploitation process. However, in their selection, it is necessary to take into account the characteristics not only connected with a concrete object or system, but also with a model of its use. In civil aviation, especially in case of airlines and various kinds of service companies, the effectiveness of exploitation system of the aircraft fleet is assessed primarily in economic terms. However, in military aviation, due to its characteristics, slightly different criteria must be applied. In practice, the effectiveness of such systems is usually assessed based on the index of technical exploitation readiness, which specifies the system readiness to execute the agreed tasks within predetermined time. This paper presents selected aspects of technical readiness related to the exploitation system of trainer aircraft in military aviation. The issues connected with determining the total flying time, conducted within the framework of the training cycle, are discussed. The factors affecting the state of technical readiness related to the exploitation system of the aviation technology as well as methods for determining the required number of aircraft to perform the tasks planned for a given period and the index of available service life resources.

Opis:: This article analyzes and assesses the basic assumptions ofplanning and executing the service-repair activities for the Rosomak APC. The service-repair system, which is one of the main points of the exploitation system, is created by anumber of inter-related elements which are supplementary to one another: technical servicing, diagnostics and on-board diagnostics and services/repairs. Such a system which is common in the army is the planning-prevention system. In this system, the individual service-repair activities are conducted after a strictly determined mileage or working time. Such a system ensures that within the appropriate time, there is the possibility to spot and remove the defects occurring in the vehicle. Basing on the fabric data, the authors have presented in this article the main activity scopes for the technical servicing for the Rosomak APC. The basic technical materials and exploitation liquids have been presented, as well as theirpolish counterparts which are used during the transporter's exploitation. A comparative analysis of the Rosomak APC service system with the service systems of other APCs exploited in the army has been made. The other APCs which have been compared here are: SKOT1/2 and BTR 50/60.

Opis:: The safety of buses in road traffic is very important because of potential hazards of peoples' life and health, damage and loss of freight and high costs of crash effects. The technical state of all vehicles has been examined during required periodical inspections, but in spite of this, the technical conditions of large number of vehicles have been poor. The range of inspections and their frequency have been determined according to the law of each country. The methodology and frequency has been determined in accordance with domestic legislation. The methodology of technical inspections concerns only some important systems of vehicles but not all. For example, anti-lock systems, retarders, adaptive cruise control systems, speed limitation devices etc. have not been examined. The results of examinations of 120 buses and coaches have been presented in this paper. Tests were carried out in scope of securing safety in road traffic. The methodology of compulsory periodical inspections was applied during initial tests. Vehicles were examined on typical control stands and in road tests. A special methodology for road tests for coaches with anti-lock systems was elaborated. Additional checks were carried out in cases when the results of basic tests were unsatisfactory. More than 50 vehicles of the total number of examined buses were faulty.

Opis:: One of the most important tasks of military logistics is to ensure proper use and technical maintenance of armaments and military equipment. Providing maintenance support services on the modern battlefield, with its saturation with complex technical solutions, poses a significant challenge for the logistics system of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. It is the duty of military logistics to adjust the potential of logistical sub-units as well as the organizational scheme and procedures of logistical support in accordance with changes occurring in the field. In times of peace, maintenance support services are focused on preventing equipment malfunctions. If a given piece of equipment becomes non-operational, their task consists in restoring it to full working order, taking into account all economic considerations. The vehicles should feature good traction characteristics in varied terrain and be adapted to operation in both cold and hot environments. The training of repair sub-unit staff remains an important element affecting the standard of maintenance support.
