Opis:
This work presents a practical and effective method to evaluate the reliability status of an object basing on the observation ofchanges in its functioning (automatics) and its technical condition (diagnostics). It has been observed that changes of the functioning condition potential could serve to determine the symptoms of transient (momentary) damages and the changes in the potential of the technical condition to determine the symptoms of parametric damages (non-total). Such an information, as it turns out, is sufficient to calculate reliability characteristics before dangerous catastrophic damages occur and to calculate reliability characteristics for every single object without having to deal with a numerous set of objects. The presented computer-aided method can be of a substantial practical importance in coordination of adjusting/control functions, diagnostics and reliability actions and thanhs to that it can improve the level of organisation of a system operati

Opis:
The paper describes the basic methodological principles and the results of development and practical application of simultaneous complex parametric analysis of the in-cylinder processes and thermal load on cylinder piston unit in diesel engines. The application of the suggested method to research and conceptualize engine design allows us to choose an optimal combination of the cylinder-piston unit parameters and diesel engine control. As a result, an admissible level of thermal stress in the most heavily loaded parts of cylinder-piston unit and low fuel consumption of diesel engines are achieved. A limited number of factors determining perfect in-cylinder processes make this method easy to visualise as well as providing it with a clear physical meaning of graphically presented results, not restricting the analysis to the design parameters of engine units. The method was practically used for upgrading high-speed diesel engines of the trademarks CHN 16.5/18.5, CHN 15/18, and CHN 15/15, to increase their power based on the average indicated pressure, and to reduce their fuel consumption and harmful environmental effects. In particular, a method implemented in diesel engines CHN 15/15 of the basic design with their power increased by 60-70%, the power of diesel CHN 16.5/18.5 was increased by 70-100%.

Opis:
During exploitation process operation quality differences may be observed between each particular machine and occurring in exploitation of one machine. These differences result from deviations of realized service process. Turbine jet engine regulation process was realized during ground tests. However, due to varying reactions of engines to external distortions, such as rocket launching, air swirl from another plane etc. as well as lack of possibility of simulation of in-flight conditions on ground (e.g. by partial choking of air intake), a situation may occur in which engine properly regulated on ground may not present sufficient efficiency in flight. Hence, the necessity to assess turbine jet engine regulation condition in flight basing on its ground tests. Research realized on computer models presenting engine operation both in flight and during ground tests indicated that real possibility of engine in flight regulation condition assessment based on its ground tests does exist. As was also noticed, with known input signal “w” and output signal “yW” recorded during engine ground tests as well as input “e” and output “u” signals from regulator during given test spectral powers and cross spectral powers of signals Swyw, Sww, See, Seu may be calculated and thus HW transfer function describing engine operation during ground test and GR transfer function describing regulator operation during given test and hence obtain transfer function HZ describing engine in flight. This grants possibility of regulation condition assessment of turbine jet engine in flight using signals recorded during ground tests.
