- Two methods for cleaning of a pipeline from food pastes are discussed. These are: an indirect method which includes extrusion of a pellet of elastomeric materiaL and a direct method which is a special case of a two-phase flow of paste and gas in pipe. A mathematical model of flow and a method for determination of the initial gas parameters, i.e. volume and pressure which enable the extrusion of pastes from pipeline, while preserving its technological and sensory properties, are proposed.
