    Opis:
    The text, which is a shortened version of a master thesis, concerns the issue of how pop culture can lead to the formation and maintenance of social groups. The article opens with a brief description of the main terms used in the text - fan, Star Wars (Star Wars) and pop culture understood as an interaction. They are then set out prior to testing hypotheses, which are confronted with the statements of the respondents. The text ends with the statement that the study of the fans gives a better understanding of modern man, whose identity is formed partly under the influence of pop culture that surrounds it on all sides.
    Tekst, będący skróconą wersją pracy magisterskiej, dotyczy problematyki w jaki sposób popkultura może prowadzić do powstawania i podtrzymywania grup społecznych. Artykuł otwiera krótki opis podstawowych pojęć stosowanych w tekście - fan, Gwiezdne Wojny (Star Wars) oraz popkultura rozumiana jako interakcja. Następnie zostają wymienione stworzone przed badaniem hipotezy, które są konfrontowane z wypowiedziami respondentów. Tekst kończy stwierdzenie, że studia nad fanami pozwalają lepiej zrozumieć współczesnego człowieka, którego tożsamość formuje się częściowo pod wpływem otaczającej go zewsząd popkultury.

    Argument. The thesis in this article is the assertion that the tools of communication and semantic content of pop culture play a very important role in socialization processes: by popular signs and symbols culture can teach the laws of social order and the ways of functioning in it. Discussed concepts. I am referring to John Fiske's reflections on how to understand pop culture as a multidimensional plane of imaging and modeling of social life, as well as a source of pleasure for the public. In this article I also mention R. Barthes and Umberto Eco. They perceive and describe processes of cognition of reality by signs, symbols and myths, showing them as dominant aspects in the creation of ideologies and discourses in the consciousness of the audience. Results and conclusions. The priority of my reflections is to draw attention to the specific visual and linguistic tools of semiology and revisit their potential beyond the interpretation and interpretation of the content layer. Reflections on the basic relationships of interpretation tools, signs and socialization, can show this methodological concept in the new light. In the text, I show how the consideration of pop culture in semiology can help to understand the processes of internalisation, fixation, and reproduction of symbolic patterns. The result of my reflections is to confirm the relevance and necessity of using the semiology language in a broader perspective of the sociological considerations of socialization and social learning processes. Originality / cognitive value of the approach. The cognitive value of my approach is based primarily on the combination of the concept of socialization with semiology – methodologically awkward, hermetic, based on interpretative processes and apparently focused only on content. This article exposes and confirms the role that pop culture plays in the process of learning and building social identity. In addition, it proposes to search for the socialization tools in popular culture and to use the semiology language to describe the reality in social consciousness constructed by reception of pop culture in the various stages of socialization.
    Teza. Tezą w niniejszym artykule jest twierdzenie, iż narzędzia komunikacji i treści znaczeniowe popkultury odgrywają bardzo istotną rolę w procesach socjalizacji: poprzez znaki i symbole kultura popularna uczy praw ładu społecznego i sposobów funkcjonowania w nim. Omówione koncepcje. Powołuję się na refleksje Johna Fiske dotyczące sposobu rozumienia popkultury jako wielowymiarowej płaszczyzny obrazowania i tworzenia wzorów życia społecznego, a także źródło przyjemności dla odbiorców. W artykule wspominam także o Rolandzie Barthesie oraz Umberto Eco jako tych, którzy dostrzegają i opisują procesy poznawania rzeczywistości przez znaki, symbole oraz mity, ukazując je jako dominujące w kreowaniu ideologii i dyskursów w świadomości społecznej odbiorców. Wyniki i wnioski. Priorytetem moich rozważań jest przede wszystkim zwrócenie uwagi na specyficzne, skoncentrowane na sferze wizualnej i językowej narzędzia semiologii i ponowne spojrzenie na ich potencjał, który kryje się poza odczytaniem i interpretacją warstwy treściowej. Refleksje na temat związków podstawowych semiologicznych narzędzi poszukiwania i interpretacji, czyli znaków i symboli, z treściami socjalizacji przedstawiają tę metodologiczną koncepcję w nowym świetle. W tekście ukazuję, w jaki sposób rozważanie popkultury w ujęciu semiologii może przysłużyć się zrozumieniu procesów internalizacji, utrwalania i reprodukcji wzorców symbolicznych. Wynikiem moich rozważań ma być potwierdzenie istotności i konieczności wykorzystywania języka semiologii w szerszej perspektywie rozważań socjologicznych dotyczących socjalizacji i procesów uczenia się funkcjonowania w społeczeństwie. Oryginalność/wartość poznawcza podejścia. Wartość poznawcza ukazanego przeze mnie podejścia opiera się przede wszystkim na połączeniu koncepcji socjalizacji z metodologicznie niezręczną, obudowaną hermetycznym językiem interpretacji i opartą na procesach interpretacyjnych semiologią, pozornie skupioną tylko na treści. Artykuł eksponuje i potwierdza rolę, jaką pełni popkultura w procesie uczenia się i budowania tożsamości. Ponadto proponuje, aby poszukiwać w symbolice kultury popularnej treści socjalizacyjnych oraz aby używać języka semiologii do opisu rzeczywistości konstruowanej w świadomości społecznej odbiorów popkultury w poszczególnych etapach socjalizacji.

    Opis:
    This short text presents the characteristics of theater works by the director, Jan Klata. I attempt to investigate the changes in contemporary Polish theatrical language. The evolution of theater perception, the expressive aesthetics of Klata’s performances and topics that began the fight not only over the new theater that would be a place of socio-political discourses but also for the new audience. In the introduction I present J. Klata and describe the circumstances that accompanied his theater debut. Thereafter, referring to J. Klata’s staging of classical works, I point out the characteristics of his theater and describe how the phenomenon of reinterpretation functions in contemporary theater. I then try to question the explicit labeling of J. Klata’s works as “post drama theater” or “political theater” by paying special attention to analyzing the director’s works in a social context. This political and social background of J. Klata’s performances contributes to the fact that his work is perceived as one of the leading examples of “engaged theater”. The staging means of expression applied by the director and his often radical interference in the texts of works from the literary canon have encouraged younger directors to make their own daring experiments . What was perceived as “revolutionary” and controversial at the time of J. Klata’s debut, today, only seven years later, has become standard in Polish theater.
