Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie teoretycznej analizy możliwości wykorzystania pojęcia racjonalności planetarnej w ekonomii zrównoważonego rozwoju. Badania zostały oparte na analizie krytycznej dostępnej literatury.
The implementation of the concept of sustainable development faces many obstacles. The most important of them are the lack of social acceptance and the inadequacy of mainstream economic theory to the risks that could lead to limits to growth. The consequence is an attempt to change the paradigm of economics, leading among others to the emergence of economics of sustainable development. One of the solutions to the implementation of the principles of sustainable development is the planetary rationality. Its basic principles were formulated by J. Pajestka at the end of 80’s of XX century. It is based on a holistic approach, which assumes that by knowing the projected threats, human are able to make rational decisions for preventing unfavorable developments. It is essential to solving problems followed at the level of the whole of humanity, rather than individual societies. This article presents the principles of planetary rationality and the possibilities of implementation of this concept into the modern economy. The primary tool used in research is a critical analysis of available literature on the theory of rationality. - Źródło:
