- Among other factors, the ability of police officers to act is determined by the aptitude test carried out when admitted to the police school, which examines whether the police officer will be able to meet the physical and psychological expectations placed on him in his later work. In Hungary, a new regulation has been in place in this regard since 1 January 2021. In my thesis, I present and compare the previous and new regulations, as well as try to find out the motives for the change. I will also examine the relationship between health, psychological and physical fitness tests and the tactical capabilities of police officers
