- This article introduces the readers to the issues related to the procedural rights of the Internal Security Agency. In the first part of the article, there were legal considerations made regarding procedural rights directly resulting from the Act on the Internal Security Agency and the Intelligence Agency. The need for statutory changes stemmed from the decisions of the Constitutional Tribunal. The second part draws attention to the discussion on the secret services shaping model that has lasted in the public space for years. On the basis of the subject literature, parliamentary materials, press materials and data cited in the media, in the article there are views and arguments presented which are the basis for conclusions regarding the justification and legitimacy of taking away or leaving the State Protection Office (and later – the Internal Security Agency) with procedural rights.
