    Postulaty przewozowe są podstawowym kryterium oceny jakości usług transportu miejskiego. Na podstawie kryteriów jakości i za pomocą badań preferencji pasażerów można wyznaczyć standardy jakości. Wśród przykładów działań, związanych z poprawą jakości świadczonych usług znajdują się rozwiązania w postaci umów tzw. partnerstwa dla jakości. Drugim popularnym na świecie rozwiązaniem jest ustalanie gwarancji standardów usług wobec pasażerów zapisanych w karcie praw pasażera. W transporcie miejskim jednym z najważniejszych elementów procesów zarządzania jest kontrola. Wiąże się ona z nadzorowaniem i korygowaniem stanów rzeczy oraz realizowanych procesów, w celu zapewnienia ich przyszłej sprawności. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi pierwszą, z dwóch części.
    The requirements of transport are the main assessment criteria of service quality standards in municipal transport. Certain quality standards can be defined on the basis of quality criteria and with the use of passenger preferences tests. Among the examples of actions connected with the improvement of quality of offered services there are solutions in the form of so-called agreements of partnership for quality. Second solution, which popular around the world, is the establishment of standards guarantee of passenger services which are inscribed in charter of passenger rights. Control is one of the main elements of management process in municipal transport. It is connected with supervision and correction of state of implemented processes in order to provide their future proper functioning. This article is the first out of two parts.

    The article discusses the development of the Italian railways between 2002 and 2015, taking into account the investment expenditure allocated to the growth of this transport mode in the period under investigation, as well as within a time horizon extending until 2026. The research has been complemented by an analysis of economic conditions. The paper describes the organizational structure of the Italian national railways, namely, the FS Group and its subsidiary companies, which manage the different sectors of the supply chain, rendering various services and supporting the activities undertaken across the group. Specific trends observed in passenger and cargo transport are analysed, with highspeed railway services given special consideration.

    In the situation of the global SARS-COV-2 coronavirus pandemic, epidemic threats are dominant and ubiquitous. The article attempted to estimate the hazards of virus transmission in various transport services. In the author's opinion, numerous and very serious problems in the transport sector and transport services are in this case the result of a lack of a methodical approach to the problem of epidemic threats, including infection in a global epidemic. The paper presents a proposal for an original DHI method for assessing epidemic hazards in transportation services, taking into account various hazards and routes of virus transmission (droplet and contact) based on dedicated scales of hazard evaluation and multi-criteria assessment. This methodology is named Deep Hazard Identification (DHI). The primary stage of the methodology is the identification and estimation of transmission mechanisms of pathogen that can occur in transport services. For this purpose 15 criteria and weighting factors were defined and used for a multi-criteria epidemic hazards assessment. It enables the determination of the matrix of hazard assessment separately for the passenger transport and freight transport groups, which allows for the comparison of the DHI hazard factor between different transport services.

    Shared mobility systems are becoming quite popular around the world. This trend has led to the continuous development of vehicle fleet and use by a growing number of individual users. Due to this, the services of shared mobility have been analysed from the viewpoint of many different aspects. Safety and security issues are particularly important for both the user and the operator. This paper is dedicated to the concept of different issues of safety and security in shared mobility solutions such as bike-, car- and scooter-sharing, peer-to-peer sharing services and on-demand riding systems. The idea of shared mobility and case study, based on problems with safety and security aspects related to that kind of mobility is presented in the text. The aim of the work was to show the importance of safety and security aspects in the shared mobility solutions.

    The article presents the issue of the transport of goods in relation to sea transport. Sea transport has been known to mankind for a long time. Currently, maritime transport is not limited only to the transport of goods and/or passengers along sea routes, which are carried out between seaports using appropriately adapted means of transport. It is a branch of transport, which consists of a very good knowledge of navigation, highly specialized staff, and a wide range of containers for transporting various types of cargo, often requiring specialized conditions. In addition, sea transport is perfectly combined with intermodal transport, so that in the end, the transport process is the most beneficial for all participants, i.e., the customers, sellers, distributors, and manufacturers. The main purpose of the article was to present the volume of goods transported in this branch of transport. The article, after introducing the issue, presents the classification of sea vessels, refers to the market of maritime transport services and its conditions for further development, and analyzes the overall volume of goods transported in the seaports of Gdańsk and Gdynia against the background of other Polish seaports in the years 2011-2021.

    The purpose of this article is to identify the possibility of using the concept of wholesale tariffs as a tool for tariff and ticket integration of rail carriers, with a view to improving cost-effectiveness and the reduction of procedural barriers for customers resulting from lack of tariff integration of rail carriers in Poland. This article aims to raise the awareness of the concept of wholesale tariffs, which are successfully used as a tool for tariff integration and competitiveness in the telecommunications market, and to initiate discussions among professionals and researchers in the transport sector. The following test methods were used: synectics, literature review, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, and documentation study. The analyses conducted showed the role of market regulators in improving cooperation between rail carriers to develop a better transport offer for rail passenger transport in Poland and, consequently, to increase the share of passenger transport in this transport sector. Similarly, it indicated that the concept of wholesale tariffs may also be a revenue (yield) management tool for rail carriers.

    Ograniczenie mechanizmu rynkowego w kształtowaniu cen w transporcie publicznym wiąże się z wprowadzaniem do polityki cenowej elementów polityki społecznej.     Limitation of the market mechanism in prices formation is connected with the introduction of social policy elements to price policy. The elements are taken into account both in the fee amount and in the assignment of free fares and discounts to various social groups. The article presents the tariff-ticket system applied in municipal transport of municipal corporations of Upper Silesia Voivodeship.

    The study assessed passengers’ satisfaction with the services of the Lagos Shuttle Train Services in Lagos, Nigeria. Two types of train, the Mass Transit Train (MTT) and the Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU), were covered. Using multistage sampling, 246 passengers were surveyed. It was found that the DMU passengers had higher socioeconomic profiles; the overall condition of the DMU was also better. Further analyses reveal that passengers’ satisfaction differed for the train types: the MTT passengers were more particular about the operational environment, while the DMU passengers were concerned with both physical characteristics and the operational environment. Generally, passengers were satisfied with accessibility, coverage, fare, safety at station and onboard, security at station, and security of luggage; however, the Lagos Shuttle Train Services was found wanting on several key indicators. Recommendations are proffered towards enhancing the service quality of the Lagos Shuttle Train Services.
