    The article presents the characteristics of transport systems in European metropolitan areas, providing a transport service of airports. The authors presented an analysis of statistical data and operating means of transport and compared the ways of servicing the airports. The process of transport service of an airport is influenced by the number of passengers handled, by the way, transport is organised in a given area and by infrastructural conditions. The article uses correlation analysis, regression models and linear correlation indices.

    Postulaty przewozowe są podstawowym kryterium oceny jakości usług transportu miejskiego. Na podstawie kryteriów jakości i za pomocą badań preferencji pasażerów można wyznaczyć standardy jakości. Wśród przykładów działań, związanych z poprawą jakości świadczonych usług znajdują się rozwiązania w postaci umów tzw. partnerstwa dla jakości. Drugim popularnym na świecie rozwiązaniem jest ustalanie gwarancji standardów usług wobec pasażerów, zapisanych w karcie praw pasażera. W transporcie miejskim jednym z najważniejszych elementów procesów zarządzania jest kontrola. Wiąże się ona z nadzorowaniem i korygowaniem stanów rzeczy oraz realizowanych procesów, w celu zapewnienia ich przyszłej sprawności. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi drugą, z dwóch części.
    The requirements of transport are the main assessment criteria of service quality standards in municipal transport. Certain quality standards can be defined on the basis of quality criteria and with the use of passenger preferences tests. Among the examples of actions connected with the improvement of quality of offered services there are solutions in the form of so-called agreements of partnership for quality. Second solution, which popular around the world, is the establishment of standards guarantee of passenger services which are inscribed in charter of passenger rights. Control is one of the main elements of management process in municipal transport. It is connected with supervision and correction of state of implemented processes in order to provide their future proper functioning. This article is the second out of two parts.

    Currently, the branch of air transport is one of the most dynamically developing branches of transport. Modern air transport systems provide relatively high quality of services in terms of satisfaction, preferences, and tastes of potential recipients, passengers, and freight operators. Air transport systems use highly advanced technologies, equipment, infrastructure, and appropriate rules and procedures in order to ensure the desired quality of services. The article presents an analysis of the volume of passenger and cargo transport in air transport on the example of the Warszawa Okęcie International Airport (Poland). The analysis covered the years from 2011 to 2021. In addition, the market of air services, and air connections with Warszawa Okęcie International Airport were characterized.

    This article examines the legal aspect of functioning of the board of communication services in Kingdom of Poland during period of 1842-1854, ie. At a time when they were formally subjected to the Russian-Tartar prince of Tenishev family. Presentation of a series of introduced law bills concerning local Management of Land and Waterways Transport structure, replaced in 1846 by the Executive Board of 13th District of Communications of Russian Empire allows us not only to visualize the detailed picture of their nature and scope, but also indirectly to overall focus on th eattidude of Russian invading power in relation to the Polish transport system.
    Artykuł analizuje prawny aspekt funkcjonowania zarządu służb komunikacyjnych w Królestwie Polskim w latach 1842-1854, czyli w czasach gdy formalnie podlegały one rosyjsko-tatarskiemu księciu Teniszewowi. Przedstawienie wielu ustaw dotyczących lokalnego Zarządu Komunikacji Lądowych i Wodnych, zamienionego następnie w 1846 roku na Zarząd XIII Okręgu Komunikacji Cesarstwa Rosyjskiego, pozwala zobrazować nie tylko szczegółowy obraz jego charakteru i zakresu, ale też pośrednio ogólne tendencje rosyjskiej władzy najezdniczej w stosunku do polskiego systemu transportowego.

    Artykuł analizuje funkcjonowanie w Królestwie Polskim po 1831 roku zarówno wojskowej, jak i cywilnej wodnej służby transportowej. Przedstawiono działalność rosyjskiego Ekipaża Gwardii (Gwardiejskowo Ekipaża) w okresie 1831/1832 i w latach 1863/64 oraz skład tzw. flotylli warszawskiej, patrolującej Wisłę w czasie powstania styczniowego. Innym opisanym aspektem działań rosyjskiej służby wodnej były kontrola i zarządzanie strategicznymi mostami, prowadzącymi do cytadel. Analiza cywilnego aspektu nadzoru wodnego Królestwa ogniskuje się natomiast na Nadbrzeżnej Służbie Wiślańskiej / Służbie Spławu Rzeki Wisły z 1837 roku oraz Służbie Wytycznej z okresu 1858/1865.
    The article analyzes functioning in Kingdom of Poland, both military and civilian, water transport services since 1831. Some important activities of Russian Guard Equipage (Gvardiejskij Ekipaz) during period of 1831/1832 year and in years 1863 to 1864 were deliberated, as well as so-called. ”Flotilla of Warsaw”, patrolling Vistula river during January Uprising. Another described aspect of the activities of Russian water services was the control and management of some strategic bridges leading to tsarist citadels located in Poland. Analysis of the civil aspect of water transport surveillance in the Kingdom focuses on Banks of Vistula Service / Service of the Vistula River Rafting (dated as of 1837) and the Guidelining Service, erected between 1858 and 1865.

    Limitation of the market mechanism in prices formation is connected with the introduction of social policy elements to price policy. The elements are taken into account both in the fee amount and in the assignment of free fares and discounts to various social groups. The article presents the tariff-ticket system applied in municipal transport of municipal corporations of Upper Silesia Voivodeship.

    In the field of transport planning in the Czech Republic, there is increasing need not only for infrastructure planning, but also for public transport planning and creating operational concepts. Public transport, as well as investments and operationally intensive industries, requires a guaranteed long-term strategy in the field of transport services. The first prerequisite for successful transport planning is the most accurate description of passenger flows, including the parameters affecting the choice of transport mode. These inputs constitute an important basis for the following steps: setting up the line network, timetable design, managing the circulation of vehicles and courses of staff, controlling, and any eventual requests for infrastructure improvements. There are currently, in the Czech Republic, few transport models that provide relevant outputs for transport planning tasks in public services. For this reason, we use a variety of heuristics, one of which is described via a practical example, i.e., the transformation of a timetable concept on a selected rail network, including the effects resulting from a change in the number of passengers.

    Prawidłowe funkcjonowanie komunikacji miejskiej w sytuacji rozdzielenia funkcji organizatora i przewoźnika wymaga stosowania określonych sposobów rozliczeń między zleceniodawcą usług (samorządem lub jego jednostką organizacyjną) a operatorem (przewoźnikiem). Konieczny jest dobór takich jednostek rozliczeniowych, które będą właściwym nośnikiem kosztów. W transporcie miejskim najpopularniejszą jednostką jest jeden wozokilometr, czyli przejazd jednego pojazdu na odległość jednego kilometra [1]. Możliwe jest wykorzystanie również innych nośników kosztów takich, jak: wozogodzina (czyli praca jednego pojazdu w ciągu jednej godziny), pojazd czy trasa (rozliczenia ryczałtowe).
    The correct functioning of municipal communication in case of function division of the organiser and the carrier requires the application of particular settlement methods between the service customer (local government or its organisational unit) and the operator - the carrier. It is essential to choose such units of account, which would be the proper medium cost such as vehicle-hour (the work of one vehicle within one hour), the vehicle, and finally, the route (lump sum settlements).

    With the growth of the population and the expansion of the territory of large cities, certain difficulties arise in meeting the needs of passengers for transportation. This article studied the satisfaction of users with the city's public transport system, especially the bus transport. Thus, a survey was conducted among passengers in Baku to assess their satisfaction with public transport. The survey covered all districts of Baku in general. The study was conducted in October 2021. The questions were aimed at identifying the weight, reasons for preferring the different types of public transport, the level of satisfaction of the population with these types, assessing the quality of services and the lack of urban bus transport. The level of satisfaction of survey participants with the work of public transport by gender and age groups was determined. Subsequently, this study showed that most of the population movements are carried out by bus transport. The analysis revealed factors that reduce the quality of service on bus routes. In addition, it examined the reasons why the population chose the bus transport, the shortcomings of the bus transport, the effectiveness of dedicated bus lanes, and attitudes toward the use of alternative public transport. Summarily, this study was passenger service to increase passenger satisfaction toward attracting more people to public transport.

    The current situation in the commodities market has forced suppliers to change their ways of satisfying customer needs. The supply chain aims to deliver raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products to the right place at the right time, incurring the lowest costs. Therefore, high-quality transport services have become indispensable in competing with other entities, enterprises are guided by the timeliness of deliveries in the Just-in-Time and Door-to-Door systems, and the costs incurred. Hence, to ensure that the pursued actions are implemented effectively, it is imperative to apply a process strategy comprising a characteristic component of the transport process management that would have a significant impact on the improvement of the services provided. In this paper, the authors conducted research on a real object of cargo transport on fixed routes and established a concept of streamlining the transport processes carried out at a company. The improvement concept proposed by the authors permits the minimization of the time of loading operations on routes related to a specific load. The result is a reduced total time of cargo transport, which offers the possibility of taking more orders at the studied company.

    Podmioty wykonujące usługi na rzecz KZK GOP mają różną formę własności. Zdecydowaną większość zadań przewozowych realizują przedsiębiorstwa będące własnością komunalną. Spośród reszty linii większość zlecana jest pojedynczo, z kilkoma wyjątkami. Tak naprawdę tylko w tej niewielkiej grupie linii można dostrzec zjawisko konkurencji między potencjalnymi wykonawcami i tylko tu widoczne są pozytywne skutki konkurencji. Mechanizm konkurencji, jakie ma zastosowanie w przypadku dobrze skonstruowanych postępowań o udzielenie zamówienia publicznego przyczynia się do bardziej racjonalnego wydatkowania środków publicznych, czyli do obniżenia (lub zahamowania wzrostu) cen za usługi. W artykule zostały opisane szczegółowo wymagania stawiane oferentom w różnych postępowaniach. Artykuł stanowi drugą, z trzech części.
    The entities which provide services for KZK GOP are in a different position in terms of ownership. Most of those entities, which provide those services, are the enterprises which are municipal and owned by a given town or city. Among the rest of the bus lines, most of them perform their tasks individually, with a few exceptions. Only in a small group of bus lines can one observe the competition among potential task executors and only in those cases the positive aspects of such competition can be observed. The competition mechanism should exist in case of well-constructed procedures in reference to public order and it then influences more rational spending of public funds, that is to lowering (or to a stop of the increase) of prices for services. The article presents all the detailed requirements which are presented to the bidders in various types of proceedings. This article is the second out of three parts.

    Understanding the needs of ferry service commuters cannot be overemphasis, considering the fact that the survival of any business largely depends on the volume of its customer base, and how well they are satisfied with the level of services received. More so, owing to the high population of Lagos state and usual traffic congestion across main roads during the peak periods, water transportation via ferries undoubtedly becomes a viable alternative to ensure stakeholders satisfaction in urban planning for a city majorly surrounded by water providers. Thus, this study employs the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to prioritise the ferry services needs of commuters to make effective managerial decisions that will aid efficiency in their operations, thereby, increasing the market penetration, competitive edge and commuter satisfaction. A sample size of two hundred and four was computed through purposive sampling procedure. The data retrieved were analysed using pairwise comparison in line with AHP methodology. The study found out that among the criteria measured, comfort was perceived more important to commuters compared to its pairs. In addition, recreational facilities, ease of online payment, regular maintenance of waterways and seating with good legroom were ranked high by the commuters. Therefore, to ensure a sustainable competitive advantage over other modes of transportation, these indicators need to be effectively considered in water transportation policy.

Koncepcja została odniesiona do przykładów występujących na rynku, a następnie szczegółowo przeanalizowana pod kątem branży kurierskiej. Przedstawione zostały sposoby zastosowania content marketingu na płaszczyźnie B2C wybranych, zagranicznych firm kurierskich. Wspomniano również o formach zastosowania marketingu treści na płaszczyźnie B2B. Kolejno przedstawiono zalety i ryzyko stosowania koncepcji marketingu treści. Pojęcie content marketingu odniesiono również do polskich firm świadczących usługi kurierskie.
    In the thesis there was presented one of alternative form of marketing – content marketing. The concept was related to examples available on market and analyzed on courier companies services. There were presented methods of using content marketing to B2C area by selected foreign courier companies. It was also mentioned about form of using content marketing to B2B area. Then were shown benefits and risks of content marketing. Finally, the concept of content marketing was related also to Polish courier service companies.

    Opis:
    The study assessed passengers’ satisfaction with the services of the Lagos Shuttle Train Services in Lagos, Nigeria. Two types of train, the Mass Transit Train (MTT) and the Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU), were covered. Using multistage sampling, 246 passengers were surveyed. It was found that the DMU passengers had higher socioeconomic profiles; the overall condition of the DMU was also better. Further analyses reveal that passengers’ satisfaction differed for the train types: the MTT passengers were more particular about the operational environment, while the DMU passengers were concerned with both physical characteristics and the operational environment. Generally, passengers were satisfied with accessibility, coverage, fare, safety at station and onboard, security at station, and security of luggage; however, the Lagos Shuttle Train Services was found wanting on several key indicators. Recommendations are proffered towards enhancing the service quality of the Lagos Shuttle Train Services.
