Opis:
W artykule omówiono istotę marketingu sieciowego, koncentrując się na praktycznej stronie jego funkcjonowania. Na bazie analizy literaturowej przedstawiono definicję i mechanizm działania MLM, a opierając się na bieżącym ustawodawstwie scharakteryzowano prawną sytuacje tego kanału dystrybucji w Polsce. Przedstawiony obraz network marketingu został zweryfikowany w badawczej części pracy. Materiał badawczy dotyczy rozbudowanej, od lat działającej na rynku na dużą skalę, firmy, która swoją działalność opiera na tym modelu marketingowym. Narzędziem badań była ankieta przeprowadzona wśród dystrybutorów. Wyniki badań wraz z przeprowadzoną analizą pokazują, że marketing sieciowy to dobrze rozwijająca się branża, zarówno w aspekcie ekonomicznym, jak i prawnym, pozwalająca na osiąganie wysokiej satysfakcji po stronie klienta, a także przedsiębiorcy wskazują jednocześnie na jeszcze niezadowalający poziom świadomości i niedostateczny poziom wykształconych postaw biznesowych w społeczeństwie, które pozwoliłyby na pełne wykorzystanie potencjału marketingu sieciowego.
The article discusses the essence of network marketing, focusing on the practical side of its operation. It shows, on the basis of literature analysis, the definition and mechanism of MLM functioning, and also on the basis of current legislation its legal situation in Poland. The presented picture of network marketing has been verified in the research part of the paper. The research material concerns, developed long-acting on the market company which business is based on this marketing model. The study was based on the survey of its distributors. The results, together with the underlying analysis show that network marketing is a well-developed industry, both in legal and economic terms, which lets to achieve high satisfaction, both by the client and the entrepreneur. It points at the same time still unsatisfactory level of awareness and in sufficient level of business attitude in a society that would allow to fully make use of the potential of network marketing.

Opis:
Purpose: The coronavirus pandemic has a crucial influence on every human being in many areas of life, like education, professional work and state of health. Also, it impacts food consumption and dietary behavior of people. The purpose of the paper is to diagnose the dynamics of new e-grocery delivery formats development caused by Covid-19 in Poland. Design/methodology/approach: This study follows a mixed method approach, which is based on qualitative interviews, secondary statistics and case study of Frisco - the most successful Polish enterprise on e-grocery sector. Multi-level perspective was used to give a context for changes observed on Polish e-grocery market. Findings: The pandemic influenced the dynamics of the development of the e-grocery market in Poland, which follows the way how American e-grocery market performs. The landscape before Covid-19 pandemic was dominated by big players like Amazon and Walmart on the USA market, however big players like Piotr I Paweł and Tesco disappeared form the e-grocery market in Poland. During pandemic, in both countries a rapid growth of local suppliers was observed. In the USA, big players have been consolidating, however in Poland a previous small enterprise, Frisco, when became a market leader, was bought by big retail player - Eurocash. Frisco implements door-to-door deliveries format. However, some new delivery formats, like food parcel lockers, are implemented by big companies like InPost on Polish e-grocery market. Research limitations/implications: Due to the difficulties related to recruiting 8 American e-grocery consumers to the focus group, the authors decided to use smaller (4 people each) mini-groups. The method is adequate to map the general landscape. However, a quantitative study is needed to deepen the information on factors of new delivery formats’ development. This article analyzes companies that provide only general information published in public reports. Practical implications: The paper helps to understand the changes on Polish market in multi-level perspective. The time of the pandemic opened a window of opportunity for new delivery formats, such as food parcel lockers. The implementation of new delivery solutions was possible by observing more developed markets such as American or German one. The development of modern technologies and the general access of potential customers to the Internet also enabled the change of the existing model of traditional trade to e-grocery. Social implications: Many customers have discovered new shopping opportunities which has led to a permanent change in purchasing behavior. In this article, the authors compare the change in landscape of Polish and American e-grocery market during Covid-19 pandemic. Originality/value: The paper helps to understand the dynamics of new e-grocery delivery formats development caused by Covid-19 in Poland with multilevel perspective. Moreover, the change in e-grocery market landscape was described. It is needed to deepen the research by new format factors analysis and further observations, what will be the future of these new formats.

Opis:
Purpose: The main goal of the study is to document and attempt to assess the impact of the latest European Union development strategy, i.e. Europe 2020 Strategy. It is inextricably linked to smart specialization, development and competitive capabilities of regions of EU member states. The partial goals are: • presenting Europe 2020 Strategy in the context of setting goals and management areas for regional policy which is part of multi-level transnational structure management in EU the Europe 2020 Strategy setting goals and management for regional policy and region will be described; • presenting smart specialization as a result of the development of integration conditions and determining new opportunities, challenges, decision-management orders for EU regions. Design/methodology/approach: At work, the authors mainly use source materials of European Commission, as well as foreign language studies which are also based on source material from EU institutions. Sometimes the authors had to use archival materials to take into account the value and sense of the latest integration conditions. Findings: The work mainly shows the links between: Europe 2020 Strategy, regional policy, regions of member states, smart specialization, guidelines for multi-level management in an international structure, and practicalisation of a development strategy. Practical implications: A member country of an integration group (EU) should be viewed in the context of an international structure and multi-level governance (including decision-making). The consequences of that concern the impact on the member state, on the regions, on other entities in the regions. This is mainly about implementation of knowledge, environmental protection, quality of human capital. Changes (or actually adaptations) also apply to socio-economic development. Social implications: The analyzes, documentation and authors’ suggestions regarding mutual dependencies and connections carried out here, have an undoubted impact on society. Europe 2020 Strategy has a social dimension in all its assumptions. And they concern intelligent growth, sustainable growth, but also (above all) the growth of social integration. Originality/value: The study has values of originality because it goes beyond the collected materials and their presentation. The collected materials were used to capture relationships and interrelationships. A development strategy and smart specialization were used to present the latest integration conditions. Then, these conditions were presented as guidelines for multi-level governance and, consequently, for the competitiveness of European Union and its regions in the global economy.
