    Artykuł przedstawia analizę przesłanek wprowadzenia i rozwoju inteligentnych sieci logistycznych w klastrach lotniczych. Analizy przeprowadzono dwutorowo: z jednej strony przedstawiono teoretyczne przesłanki wdrożenia i rozwoju inteligentnych sieci logistycznych, wskazując najważniejsze wyróżniki inteligentnych sieci logistycznych, a z drugiej – dane empiryczne związane z charakterystyką sektora lotniczego oraz studium 4 przypadków wybranych klastrów lotniczych funkcjonujących w Europie.
    In the paper the analysis of prerequisites for development of smart logistics networks in aerospace clusters. The analysis have been carried in two directions: from one hand the theoretical prerequisites have been presented, pointing the features of smart logistics networks; form the other hand the empirical data concerning the aerospace sector as well as analysis of 4 cases of selected aerospace clusters operating in Europe have been presented.

    Opis:
    Globalizacja, dynamiczne, złożone i niepewne otoczenie oraz rozwój technologii informatycznych przyczyniły się do rozwoju współpracy przedsiębiorstw w formie sieci logistycznych. Z tego względu za cel artykułu przyjęto identyfikację czynników wpływających na funkcjonowanie sieci logistycznej. Na podstawie krytycznej analizy literatury przedmiotu oraz analizy danych statystycznych zbadano ponadto stopień wykorzystania technologii informatycznych w zarządzaniu łańcuchem dostaw. Założono bowiem, że technologie informacyjne przyczyniają się do rozwoju sieci dostaw i niwelowania zagrożeń ich funkcjonowania.
    Globalization, dynamic, complex and uncertain environment on one hand and the development of information technology on the other have lead businesses to cooperate more closely through logistics networks. The goal of the article is to identify the factors influencing the functioning of a logistics network and determine the advantages and disadvantages of cooperation within a network. On the basis of a critical analysis of subject literature and the analysis of statistical data the rates of implementation of IT for managing supply chains was also analyzed. It was assumed that information technologies may contribute to the development of the supply networks and to the elimination of threats to their functioning.

    Purpose: Main aim of the following paper is to present the conception of logistics coordination from the point of view of transportation actions from the perspective of the international 3PL company. Design/methodology/approach: In the paper used the case study based on the case of chosen international 3PL, where the distribution network was analyzed. Findings: 3PL is able to support the transportation planning operation in the considered distribution network by using a developed cloud-based infrastructure that supports demand forecasting tool and transportation planning. Originality/value: Paper connects the one function of logistics coordination – transportation planning – with the demand forecasting tool and the issues of 3PL. It is also shown the case study with implemented solution based on cloud infrastructure to support the transportation operations.

    Opis:
    Purpose: This article addresses the issue of forecasting demand for products flowing in a distribution network conducted from the perspective of a 3PL logistics operator. Its purpose is to present a tool based on the R software, which is to be used for automatic forecasting of time series. Design/methodology/approach: The work uses the algorithm of automatic forecasting of time series implemented in the "forecast" package. The algorithm was used in a loop for different lengths of the time series to determine the best length of the series. The minimal RMSE value in the training set and in the test set were considered as optimality criteria. Findings: It is shown that the best time series length is 60 weeks in the considered case. Originality/value: The procedure for selecting the best time window length for forecasting demand for products in distribution network.

    Opis:
    Purpose: an attempt to implement the methodology of network thinking in the process of creating procurement strategies for companies. Design/methodology/approach: The basic research methods used in this paper include an in-depth interview with procurement specialists from the selected large companies from the Wielkopolska region. The interview was conducted to identify basic factors influencing the procurement process. Then, elements of network thinking methodology were used to design a procurement strategy. This is a methodology of systemic origin and it allows to analyse the examined phenomena holistically. Findings: The applied research tool allowed us to discern the most important factors the entrepreneurs should take into account when designing their procurement strategies. Research limitations/implications: Due to the fact, that there is a network structure linking manufacturing, trade and service companies, this methodology should be increasingly used while designing corporate strategies. Practical implications: In currently deteriorating market conditions, procurement may increase in importance. Entrepreneurs must strive to maintain continuity of the production process, and this is – undoubtedly – related to meeting the company’s needs for materials. Social implications: The results of this research underline the importance of extensive cooperation with many suppliers, especially in times of economic crisis. Thanks to it, many companies in the industry will be able to survive and develop. Originality/value: An important value of this piece of research lies in the attempt to implement and popularize network methods in the process of creating strategies.

    Wyroby hutnicze to wzorcowy przykład produktów dostarczanych przez selektywne kanały dystrybucji, w których tworzone są horyzontalne i wertykalne relacje sieciowe. Złożoność systemu dystrybucji wynika ze znacznego zróżnicowania rynku odbiorców a także realizacji zamówień zarówno w systemie ssania jak i pchania. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja zakłóceń w przepływie wyrobów hutniczych niepoddawanych dyferencjacji w modelu z centrum logistycznym.
    Steel products are a standard example of products delivered by selective distribution channels, in which horizontal and vertical network relations are being created. The complexity of the distribution system is a result of diversifying sections of customers as well as the both pull and push order. An identification of disruptions in the flow of steel products not-subjected to the differentiation in the model with the logistic centre is a purpose of the article.

    Opis:
    Effectiveness analysis of tasks performed by the flag enterprise of the distribution network of steel products (at taking into account the different degree of the differentiation of products) are a purpose of the article. In the centralized distribution network a flag enterprise is a node witch coordinating material flows. Allocated segments differ in standards of logistic customer service. Limiting gaps in the customer service is an aim of the adopted concept of examinations.
    Celem badań zaprezentowanych w artykule jest analiza skuteczności zadań realizowanych przez przedsiębiorstwo flagowe sieci dystrybucji wyrobów hutniczych przy uwzględnieniu różnego stopnia dyferencjacji produktów realizowanego w tym przedsiębiorstwie. W artykule wskazano, że obsługiwane przez przedsiębiorstwo flagowe segmenty odbiorców różnią się preferencjami odbiorców w zakresie logistycznej obsługi klienta. Na tej podstawie zaproponowano ustalanie standardów i doskonalenie procesów realizacji zamówienia. Celem tak przyjętej koncepcji jest ograniczanie luk w obsłudze klienta.
