    Opis:
    The paper is devoted to the analysis of the quality and competitiveness of the Russian export coal products. The export quality standards, which coal production should correspond to, are considered. The official information review of production quality published by the largest coal-mining companies of the Russian Federation is made. The formula of the integrated quality indicator for the competitiveness assessment of the Russian coal production has been corrected. The calculations of competitiveness indicators for coal products of JSC "Kuzbassrazrezugol" are made. The recommendations of integral quality rate applications for the competitiveness estimation of Russian coal are provided.
    Artykuł jest poświęcony analizie i ocenie konkurencyjności rosyjskich węglowych produktów eksportowych. W teoretycznej części artykułu określono kluczowe kryteria jakościowe, jakim powinna odpowiadać produkcja węgla kamiennego kierowanego na eksport. Następnie dokonano przeglądu oficjalnych informacji o jakości produkcji węgla kamiennego, publikowanych przez największe przedsiębiorstwa wydobywające węgiel w Federacji Rosyjskiej. W celu oceny konkurencyjności rosyjskiego eksportu wykorzystano zmodyfikowany, zintegrowany wskaźnik jakości węgla kamiennego. W empirycznej części artykułu na podstawie skorygowanej formuły obliczono wskaźniki konkurencyjności dla produktów węglowych spółki akcyjnej „Kuzbassrazrezugol”. W zakończeniu artykułu przedstawiono zalecenia praktyczne, pozwalające zastosować zintegrowany wskaźnik jakości w ocenie konkurencyjności rosyjskiego węgla.

    This paper concentrates on the analysis of the impact of Business Incubator Centre on the economy development. The analysis has been done on the example of Hazelton Incubator Centre in Pennsylvania (United States). We conduct our analysis using various indicators divided into four groups: social indicators, procedural indicators, technical indicators and financial indicators. On the basis of those indicators we analyses functioning of this business incubator center.

    The article is indicating the research problem in interpretation of economic indicators for hospitals . The work draws attention to the aspect of the validity of management decisions with reference to the financial condition of hospitals, which is measured by using elements of financial reporting such as e.g. analysis of economic indicators.

    In recent years, the concept of regional specialisation has become an indicator of regional and local development in the Member States of the European Union. The concept of creating smart specialisation is one of the main priorities of the Europe 2020 Strategy, which concerns smart growth based on knowledge and innovation. Smart specialisations are based on economic and scientific potential, and regions had to define their development visions and planned economic effects in regional smart specialisation strategies. The aim of the article was to determine the specialisation of selected Polish cities using the Krugman specialisation index and to take into account the concentration of foreign companies using the location indicator.

    Opis:
    Wskaźnik OEE (ang. Overall Equipment Effectiveness) pozwala określić, jak efektywnie działają maszyny i urządzenia eksploatowane w określonym przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjnym. Wskazany wskaźnik pozwala tym samym określić nie tylko ilości wytwarzanych produktów, przy uwzględnieniu rzeczywistego czasu pracy tychże maszyn i urządzeń, ale wskazuje również jaki procent wyprodukowanych produktów spełnia normy jakościowe. Tak więc wskaźnik OEE to niezmiernie ważny wskaźnik kondycji eksploatowanych maszyn i urządzeń w zakładzie produkcyjnym. Stwierdzić należy, iż stan techniczny maszyn i urządzeń nie może być oparty jedynie na kwestiach serwisowych, ale i również na podejściu, które zapewni jak najdłuższy okres „życia” maszyny czy urządzenia. Celem opracowania było zaprezentowanie sposobu obliczania i interpretacji wskaźnika OEE na przykładzie młynów węglowych pierścieniowo-kulowych typu EM 70 eksploatowanych w elektrowniach i elektrociepłowniach, co pozwoliło ustalić faktyczną efektywność wykorzystania wskazanych obiektów technicznych w przedsiębiorstwie o produkcji ciągłej. Stwierdzono tym samym, iż efektywność wykorzystania młynów węglowych jest zależna m.in. od okresów ich eksploatacji.
    The OEE indicator (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) allows to determine how effectively machines and devices operated in a specific production enterprise operate. The indicated index allows to determine not only the quantities of products manufactured, taking into account the actual working time of these machines and devices, but also indicates what percentage of manufactured products meets quality standards. Thus, the OEE indicator is an extremely important indicator of the condition of the operated machines and equipment in the production plant. It should be stated that the technical condition of machines and devices can not be based only on service issues, but also on the approach that will ensure the longest life-span of a machine or device. The aim of the study was to present the method of calculating and interpreting the OEE indicator on the example of EM-type ring-ball mills operated in power plants and combined heat and power plants, which allowed to determine the actual efficiency of using the indicated technical facilities in a continuous production enterprise. It was thus confirmed that the efficiency of using coal mills depends, among others, on from their periods of use.

    Purpose: The aim of the study was to analyze and determine the level of satisfaction of individual customers in the field of transport and installation of wooden doors. Design/methodology/approach: The assessment was carried out using the Servqual method within the five dimensions of providing a comprehensive service in terms of materiality, reliability, responsiveness to customer expectations, expertise and empathy. The survey was conducted on the basis of questionnaires, interviews with customers who used the service and observations. Findings: On the basis of the research, it was found that the quality level of provided transport and assembly services is at a good level. In the opinion of customers, the assessment of the quality of services provided was over 4.3. Research limitations/implications: In order to improve and enhance the level of customer satisfaction, remedial actions were proposed - additional training for transport and assembly groups. Practical implications: Future research carried out in the analyzed company will allow to checking the impact of implemented countermeasures on the level of customer satisfaction. The methodology presented should be applied in companies that care about the quality of services offered. The limitations that may occur are related to the possible reluctance of customers to express an opinion on the service provided. Originality/value: The research is a useful study indicating the possibility of implication of the Servqual method in service enterprises wanting to check the level of customer satisfaction.

    W artykule rozważono zagadnienia z zakresu analizy konkurencji przedsiębiorstw węglowych w Federacji Rosyjskiej. Zaprezentowano teoretyczne i metodologiczne aspekty konkurencji przedsiębiorstw oraz konkurencyjności. Dokonano przeglądu metod i wskaźników używanych w analizie konkurencji przedsiębiorstw. Na poziomie analizy konkurencji przedsiębiorstw zostały sformułowane rekomendacje. Utworzono listę wskaźników do analizy konkurencji przedsiębiorstwa górniczego. Analiza porównawcza wskaźników konkurencji została przeprowadzona dla firm „SUEK” i „Kuzbassrazrezugol”.
    The paper considers the issues of coal enterprises competitiveness assessment of the Russian Federation. Theoretical and methodical aspects of enterprise competition and competitiveness are presented. The review of the methods and indicators used for enterprise competitiveness assessment is given. The recommendations of enterprise competitiveness assessment level are analyzed. The list of indicators of coal enterprise competitiveness assessment is formed. The comparative assessment of competitiveness indicators of JSC "SUEK" and JSC "Kuzbassrazrezugol" is given.

    Purpose: The aim of the article is to indicate the possibility of using comparative advantage gauges as a measure identifying the market position of a company in relation to other entities, as well as the proposal to introduce a new measure in the form of a self-regulatory efficiency indicator. Design/methodology/approach: The simple indicators taking into account only revenues and costs are not suitable for a useful comparison of entities from a given industry, because they involve simple measures and allow only to rank entities without fully considering the specificity of the resources' management or the size of the business. Hence, the self-regulatory efficiency indicator is proposed. It can be used to compare entities generating uniform characteristics of the net financial result. Findings: For the Polish energy industry companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange it is important not so much to achieve a satisfactory market position, as to achieve a future’s competitive advantage, so the problem of the management is how to decide about the future without having a rational basis. It is solved by the proposed self-regulatory efficiency indicator (SEI). Originality/value: The comparison of the market position according to the SEI gauge and other comparative advantage indicators (EVA, RMA, I/C) is compatible in over 50%. Thus the SEI gauge can be used to describe the enterprise's market position, because as a new measure it allows to easily assess the efficiency of the resource management inside the entities, by the use of the generally available basic quantities.
