    Opis:
    Purpose: The main aim of the paper is to identify, evaluate and improve the factors that are responsible for the reliable operation of the guttering system using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methodology. Design/methodology/approach: To achieve the planned goal, the FMEA method was used. This is one of the suitable techniques of reliability modelling used to investigate the failure behaviour of a products and processes. The article presents the use of design FMEA on the example of a guttering system that is produced in one of the companies in the Podkarpackie province. In order to do this, potential defects and their effects have been identified. Later, the control methods used in the company were specified. The frequency of potential defects was then estimated, as well as their significance and possibility of detection. Findings: The design FMEA method allowed the authors to reveal defects, including critical defects, which may significantly affect the construction of a guttering system. The defects and their root causes were identified, and a proposal for corrective and preventive actions was suggested. Originality/value: An original solution of a guttering system that is currently in production in the Podkarpackie province was tested. This analysis should contribute to improving the quality of products manufactured here.

    Opis:
    In the article we assessed the in-plant transport on the soldering line. The assessment was based on three-month process observation, registration of non-conformities and a modified PFMEA analysis form. Among the 9 non-compliance groups, the so-called critical inconsistencies for which the reasons for their generation have been determined. Actions have been developed to eliminate the causes of non-compliance, aimed at improving the process and devices of in-house transport. The proposed solutions are implemented in the analyzed organization.

    Opis:
    Celem artykułu było zwrócenie uwagi na istotę narzędzi zarządzania jakością, które chronią przedsiębiorstwo przed zagrożeniem w postaci wad, a w konsekwencji odpływem klientów. Przedstawiono analizę przyczyn wystąpienia wady, jaką jest niedostateczne przyleganie okleiny do ramiaka pionowego drzwi wewnątrzlokalowych STILE. W tym celu wykorzystano takie narzędzia jak diagram Ishikawy oraz metodę FMEA. W wyniku badań zidentyfikowano kluczowe przyczyny występowania wady oraz zaproponowano sposoby ich eliminacji.
    The aim of the study was to draw attention to the essence of quality management tools that protect the company from the risk of defects and consequently the outflow of customers. The paper presents an analysis of the causes of the defect of insufficient adhesion of the veneer to the vertical stile of the STILE internal door. For this purpose, tools such as the Ishikawa diagram and the FMEA method were used. As a result of the study, the main causes of the defect were identified and methods of elimination.

    Logistic analysis of procurement processes refers to the identification of logistics processes, public procurement, procurement purchases and the organization of the procurement process. This leads to the assessment of the condition of the existing supply processes in the selected coal mine and the determination of possible solutions relating to the improvement of supply logistics activities.
    Analiza logistyczna procesów zaopatrzenia dotyczy identyfikacji procesów logistycznych, zamówień publicznych, zakupów zaopatrzeniowych oraz organizacji procesu zaopatrzenia. Prowadzi to do oceny stanu istniejącego procesów zaopatrzenia w wybranej kopalni węgla kamiennego oraz określenia możliwych rozwiązań odnoszących się do poprawy działań w zakresie logistyki zaopatrzenia.

    W artykule przedstawiono metodę wspierającą zarządzanie ryzykiem, w której istotnym aspektem jest uwzględnianie zasad zrównoważonego rozwoju. Przedstawione podejście łączy dwa wskaźniki: ekoefektywność i wskaźnik poziomu ryzyka. Autorzy dokonali dekompozycji wskaźnika ekoefektywności na składowe (środowiskową i ekonomiczną) i zestawili je z poziomem ryzyka. W efekcie taki zabieg uniezależnił otrzymane rezultaty od metod, jakimi wyznaczono poszczególne wskaźniki.
    This paper presents a method that support risk management, in which theimportant aspect is the inclusion of sustainable development. The approach combines two eco-effectiveness indicator and indicator of the level of risk. The authors have made decomposition of eco-efficiency indicator components (economic and environmental), and grouped them with the level of risk. This manipulation became independent methods of determining the results of these indicators.

    Purpose: Welding is one of the most commonly used methods of joining parts in the manufacturing industry. Unfortunately, during the welding process, a phenomenon in the deformation of the welded part occurs. With the required high geometrical accuracy, deformations negatively affect the ability of mounting a given part (Ferenc, 2007). The article presents a method of minimising pipe deformations with welded probes. Design/methodology/approach: The paper focuses on welding – method of joining metal parts and using selected quality management methods and tools (Wolniak, and Skotnicka, 2011). Findings: The cause of defective products was found. Practical implications: It has been developed a tool that minimizes the deformation of the welding process. The amount of defective products was minimized from 100% to 2% in the analyzed case. Originality/value: The presented methods can be used in production processes in which welding is used.

    Paper presents a proposal for improvement of implementation concerning one of Lean Manufacturing (LM) tools, in particular 5S method. For that purpose there was applied Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in simplified form. A test analysis concerning implementation of the 5S method in one of Subcarpathian companies was performed by a team consisting of workers involved in that implementation of and external experts. Results of that analysis showed that the biggest difficulties playing role in implementation of the FMEA are the ones associated with laziness of workers and shortage of understanding advisability of 5S implementation. Obtained results are aimed at improving implementation of the 5S method in the company. They might be, however, also helpful in implementation of that method in other enterprises.

    Organizations should be able to define what is a problem, be able to quickly find the cause of its occurrence and then decide on its elimination. It is the basis of the organization's functioning and development. The aim of the study is analyze the often solution problem with a large number of nonconforming products. The analysis was conducted in PZL Sędziszów company with using the 8D method. Analyzed the solution of the problem of incompatibility of products such as car bearing baskets. The analysis showed that changes in product inspection were necessary, as well as proved the importance of employee training and their liability for product and its quality. The conclusions of the analysis can be used in any organization wishing to improve its products.
    Organizacje powinny umieć zdefiniować, co jest problemem, potrafić w szybki sposób odnajdywać przyczyny jego wystąpienia i dopiero wówczas podejmować decyzje o jego eliminacji. To podstawa funkcjonowania i rozwoju organizacji. Celem artykułu jest przeanalizowanie sposobu rozwiązania często spotykanego problemu niezadowalająco dużej liczby wyrobów niezgodnych. Analizę przeprowadzono w przedsiębiorstwie PZL Sędziszów z wykorzystaniem metodyki 8D. Dokonano analizy rozwiązania problemu niezgodności wyrobów, jakim były koszyki łożysk samochodowych. Analiza wykazała konieczność wprowadzenia zmian w kontrolach produkowanych wyrobów, a także udowodniła jak istotne są szkolenia pracowników i uświada-mianie im odpowiedzialności za produkt i jego jakość. Wnioski płynące z analizy można wykorzystać w dowolnych organizacjach pragnących doskonalić swoje wyroby.

    Opracowanie dotyczy analizy zagadnienia doskonalenia procesu i produktu uwzględniając popularnie stosowane w praktyce przemysłowej i wymagane w normatywach branżowych metody i narzędzia zarządzania jakością. Wskazano najczęściej stosowane w praktyce metody i narzędzia zarządzania jakością uwzględniając ich korelację i znaczenia dla skutecznego procesu doskonalenia w ramach systemowego podejścia do zarządzania jakością. Zaproponowano ogólny model systemowego ujęcie doskonalenia procesu i produktu z wykorzystaniem wskazanych w opracowaniu metod i narzędzi zarządzania jakością.
    The elaboration concerns the analysis of the issue of process and product improvement, taking into account the quality management methods and tools commonly used in industrial practice and required by the industrial standards. The quality management methods and tools which are most commonly used in practice were indicated, taking into account their correlation and significance for effective improvement process as part of the systemic approach to quality management. A general model of systemic approach to process and product improvement with the use of the quality management methods and tools indicated in the elaboration was proposed.
