Topical application of ten microliters of one milligram per liter strength acetone solution of retinol phytol to the individual fifth instar larvae of multivoltine cross breed race of silkworm, Bombyx mori (L) (PM x CSR2) at 48, 54, 60 and 66 hours after the fourth moult was found variously reflected into prolongation of larval age (14 – 39 % for retinol treated groups and 17 – 42 % for phytol treated groups); improvement in the tissue somatic index (TSI) of silk glands (3.053 – 3.343 for retinol treated groups and 3.070 – 3.092 % for phytol treated groups); cocoon shell ratio (2.790 – 3.177 for retinol treated groups and 2.693 – 3.629 for phytol treated groups) and denier scale of silk filament (p< 0.01). Retinol and phytol, thus chiefly lengthening the larval age in silkworm, Bombyx mori (L). The synergistic activity of diterpenoids in the present attempt is hypothesized to be due to changes in the membrane fluidity, interference with membrane bound signaling proteins and cell cycle arrest. Efficient utilization of diterpenoids like, retinol and phytol, through acetone solvent for topical application to the fifth in stared larvae of silkworm, Bombyx mori (L) may open a new biotechnological avenue in the sericulture industries.

By convention the term vitamin includes neither other essential nutrients, such as dietary minerals, essential fatty acids, or essential amino acids (which are needed in greater amounts than vitamins) nor the great number of other nutrients that promote health, and are required less often to maintain the health of the organism. Thirteen vitamins are universally recognized at present. Vitamins are classified by their biological and chemical activity, not their structure. Thus, each "vitamin" refers to a number of vitamer compounds that all show the biological activity associated with a particular vitamin. Such a set of chemicals is grouped under an alphabetized vitamin "generic descriptor" title, such as "vitamin A", which includes the compounds retinal, retinol, and four known carotenoids. Vitamers by definition are convertible to the active form of the vitamin in the body, and are sometimes inter-convertible to one another, as well. During solar activity the energy particles of the sun released due to solar flare, Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), coronal heating as well as sunspot. Solar radio burst will be observed in the presence of solar activity such solar flare, CMEs and solar prominence as the indicator for those events to happen. During the peak of solar cycle, the filaments are present due to the active magnetic field and solar storm’s explosion. This type of solar radio burst normally can be seen in the phase of impulsive solar flare. Therefore, it is crucial to understand field line connectivity in flare and the access of flare accelerated particle to the earth. In this study, we highlighted on the observation of solar radio burst type III on 9th of May at 05:31 UT till 05:44 UT. The event was successfully recoded by e-CALLISTO using BLEINSW radio telescope. The Solar Radio Burst Type III that had been observed was related to the Coronal Mass Ejections and the mechanisms that trigger the events have been discussed. It is shown that the CMEs is believed to happen because of the magnetic filament that connected to active region (AR) 2339 was erupted, and combination of two wild filament produced a bright CMEs. Fortunately, the expanding cloud does not appear to be heading for earth.

Opis:
During steady-state operation filaments of incandescent lamps are considerably hot and provide luminous flux for illumination but when it is switched off the temperature as well as the light output drops quite fast. The cooling-time of a lamp is defined as the time needed for the temperature to drop to the point where the light output of lamp falls to 10% from the steady-state operation magnitude. The operating temperatures of coiled-wire filament lamps of 6, 10, 25, 40, 60, 100, 200, 300, and 500 watts are borrowed from a previous publication and the lumen outputs are estimated here. The lumen output for each degree Kelvin fall of the temperature is calculated to locate the temperature at which lumen output has dropped to 10% as per definition of the cooling time. Lastly the expression for the cooling-time has been derived and estimated for each lamp. The numbers so obtained do match satisfactorily.
