Opis:
Nilem fish is an endemic fish in West Java that has the potential to be developed into superior aquaculture products. The effect of feed additives on growth can help in increasing the protein synthesis process so that the fish growth process can be optimal. This research was carried out at the Ciparanje Experimental Pond Hatchery at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran, from October 1 2018 to November 20 2018. The research method was carried out experimentally with Completely Randomized Design (CRD). This study used four treatments which were repeated three times. The treatment in this study consisted of adding potassium diformate to artificial feed at doses of 0%, 0.1%, 0.3%, and 0.5% per 100 grams of feed. The parameters observed in this study were survival, growth rate, feed efficiency, and water quality. The analysis used was the f test and descriptive analysis. The survival rate, growth rate and feed efficiency range from 87.08% -93.75%, 2.22% -2.26% and 41.21%-47.69% respectively. The addition of potassium diformate to artificial feed up to 0.5% per 100 grams of feed can be used as a feed additive in nilem fish cultivation.

Opis:
Declining soil fertility is one of the main causes of low yields of maize. Farmers apply low rates of unbalanced nutrients leading to further nutrient mining. A randomized complete block nutrient omission trial with six replications was therefore set to determine maize response to the application of a wide range of nutrients from inorganic fertilizers on Ferralsols. The treatments were NK, NP, PK, NPK, and NPK + CaMgZnBS. The results showed that application of PK fertilizer resulted in low crop growth rate (CGR), and relative growth rate (RGR), and biomass compared to other treatments. Application of a wider range of nutrients (NPK + CaMgZnBS treatment) improved maize growth and yield compared to other treatments. In terms of grain response, Urea application recorded the highest yield (1800 kg/ha) followed by Triple Superphosphate (1300 kg/ha) then Muriate of potash (1100 kg/ha) and least by a combined application of secondary nutrients and micronutrients (ZnBMgCaS = 400 kg/ha). Highest agronomic efficiency of 32.5 kg grain /kg P applied was recorded due to P followed by K (27.5 kg grain /kg K) and least by N (15 kg grain /kg N). Based on the combined effect, application of N-P-K based fertilizers could give better yields. Use of micronutrients should be assessed further for conclusive recommendations.

Opis:
Exchange rate is identified as a factor for turning vector of the economic growth of countries which was empirically confirmed by several related studies. But in Sri Lankan context it was not confirmed. Therefore, the objective of this study was to test the impact of exchange rate on the economic growth in Sri Lanka. To achieve this objective, the annual time series data from 1970 to 2015 were used and the variables such as gross domestic product, exchange rate, inflation rate, and interest rate were considered and the multiple regressions model using Ordinary Least squared method was employed. Based on the outcome of the multiple regression model, this study confirmed that the exchange rate positively influenced on the economic growth in Sri Lanka at one percent significant level.

Opis:
A cooperative society has remained a major concern especially in the developing countries like Nigeria. This study was born out of necessity to provide answers to fundamental questions raised on cooperatives societies. The objectives of this research was to ascertain the significant relationship between growth drivers and cooperative societies and to investigate significant relationship between cooperative societies and growth drivers such as interest rate, savings plan and to determine if amount borrowed has assisted to increase welfare and satisfaction of members. The primary data was gathered using structured questionnaire. The survey method was used and a cross-sectional design was adopted. The two institution chosen are the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), and Covenant University (CU). Total population of the selected cooperative society in FUNAAB is 573 and the total population of the selected cooperative society in CU is 697. The data was analysed using statistical package for the social sciences, (SPSS). It also made use of analysis of variance (ANOVA), Simple linear regression analysis was used to test hypotheses one and correlation analysis was employed to test hypothesis two. The study indicate that interest rate of cooperative societies is a significant predictor of patronage of the cooperative, it was revealed that there exist a relationship between loan repayment periods, savings plan and the satisfaction of members of the cooperative The study recommended the need for the improvement in the performance of the cooperative societies.

Opis:
Budget deficit is a debating word in developing countries; it maintains a relationship with economic growth of countries in different aspects. The objective of this study was to test the dynamic relationship between the budget deficit and the economic growth of Sri Lanka using annual time series data from 1959 to 2013.To test this objective, the budget deficit of Sri Lanka was used as main independent variable and the gross domestic product in constant price was utilized as dependent variable. The exports earnings, exchange rate, inflation rate were used supportive independent variables of this study. The Johansen cointegration technique and Vector Error Correction Model were employed to test the long and short - run dynamic relationship between the budget deficit and the economic growth of Sri Lanka. This study found that all variables were cointegrated at 1st difference form. In the meantime the budget deficit and economic growth of Sri Lanka had preserved a long- run dynamic relationship during the study period but no short- run dynamic relationship. In addition, the budget deficit had positive relationship with economic growth of Sri Lanka.
