Opis:
This research was conducted to assess the antibacterial potential of Bacillus flexus and Bacillus subtilis against Aeromonas hydrophila. Bacterial samples came from the stock of the FPIK Unpad Biotechnology Laboratory. This research was conducted in July 2020 - May 2021 in Laboratorium Biotechnology FPIK Padjadjaran University. This research was conducted using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. Bacteria were collected using the purposive sampling method, Observation of the growth curve using the turbidimetric method, and the disc diffusion method for the inhibition zone test with bacterial supernatant treatment with a concentration of 50%, a concentration of 100%, bacterial culture, chloramphenicol antibiotics with a concentration of 4000 ppm as a positive control. The results showed that B. flexus bacteria experienced an exponential phase at 6 to 12 hours, after which it entered a stationary phase at 14 to 72 hours. B. subtilis bacteria experienced an exponential phase at 20 hours. Until 40 hours, then experiencing a stationary phase at 42 hours to 72 hours, and the growth of A. hydrophila bacteria experiences an exponential phase at 6 hours to 28 hours, the stationary phase at 30 to 28 hours 72. Based on the results of the inhibition zone test, it showed the formation of the inhibition zone only in the positive control treatment, while the supernatant and bacterial cultures of B. flexus and B. subtilis didn’t form an inhibition zone.

Opis:
The traditional approach for managing the fisheries is the acquiring of property rights over the fishery through legislation by the state. The state than parcels out rights and establishes rules (regulations) of use for the fishers. The state regulates the resource. The conventional literature in resource economics provide some insights into how common property resources such as fisheries, can be managed in a sustainable manner. Common property regimes, such as collective resource management systems, develop when a group of individuals are highly dependent on a resource (s) and when the availability of the resource (s) is uncertain or limited. There is a need to empirically evaluate the nature of the transaction costs involved in fisheries co-management institutions as a basis for defending a move away from the more centralised form of fisheries management institutions. The discussion presented in this paper will serve as a basis for further operationalization of the categories of transaction costs and for empirical case study analysis.

Opis:
Hairtail fish (Trichiurus lepturus Linnaeus, 1758) are a major commodity of high economic value in Pangadaran. This study aims to determine the most selective fishing gear for hairtail fish commodities based on the frequency of hairtail fish length, the proportion of the main catch and by-catch in Pangandaran District. Data collected are primary and secondary data. Primary data consists of catch data and fish size length. The catch is obtained by collecting the results of landing fish with gill nets and beach seines. Fish size length data obtained through direct measurement when the fish is landed. Secondary data collected is data on capture fisheries production in Pangandaran District. Data analysis consisted of calculation of length size distribution and comparison of main and by-catches with fishing gears. The analysis was carried out with the help of Microsoft Excel software. The results of this study indicate that hairtail fish in Pangandaran District were captured using gill nets and beach seines. Based on the results of the research conducted on August 2018 until January 2019, it can be concluded that gill net fishing gears are more selective compared to beach seines based on several parameters observed, namely the length distribution and the proportion of main catch : by-catch. The results showed that the comparison of the length distribution of hairtail fish that was appropriately caught between gill nets and beach seines was 85.74% : 30,74%. Comparison of the proportion of main catch : by-catch between gill nets and beach seines was 52.38%: 23.57%.
