Opis:
The discovery of antibiotics has helped to save the lives of an uncountable number of people. Unfortunately, their misuse and other related factors have led to the emergence and development of bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics. Antimicrobial resistance is one of the most serious threats to public health globally and threatens the ability to treat infectious diseases. The factors that contribute for the emergence and spread of antimicrobial resistance are complex non-prudent use of antibiotics in veterinary and human medicine is, in large part, responsible for the emergence of antibiotic resistance. Inappropriate prescription practices, inadequate education, poor drug quality, limited rapid diagnostic test facilities, poor hygiene, infection prevention and control practice are also other factors contribute for the emergence and spread of antimicrobial resistance. Due to the emergency of new resistant bacteria and decrease in efficiency of treating common infectious diseases, it results in failure of microbial response to standard treatment, leading to prolonged illness, higher expenditures for health care, and an immense risk of death. Considering these serious impacts of antibiotic resistance several solutions have been proposed including antibiotic stewardship, educational program, hygiene, infection prevention and control strategy, adapting rapid methods for detecting resistance bacteria as well as developing new antibiotics and alternative therapeutic agents.

Opis:
Irrigation is the artificial application of water to the land or soil. It is used to assist in the growing of agricultural crops, maintenance of landscapes, and re-vegetation of disturbed soils in dry areas and during periods of inadequate rainfall. Paddy production is the main agriculture of this area, has good climate, well irrigation and soil structure for paddy production. Both temperature and rainfall are the main climatic factors that affected the paddy cultivation. The main objective of the study is to find out the agricultural activities especially paddy cultivation. The sampling method has been used to collect the primary data through the questionnaire survey from 100 households and secondary data has been gathered form District Secretariat, Irrigation Report, and published research reports. MS Excel was utilized for the study to examine the changes of paddy production and other agriculture due to the irrigation water. As the result, paddy production was very high in the Maha season but it was low in Yala season because of the less rainfall and irrigation process. In addition, the highland crops were cultivated around 396 hectare in this area. Whatever, when compere with vegetable production, this was very low and the vegetable production was very high. Thus, these area people cultivate different kind of crops for their economy but have the less production. Therefore, the improvement of irrigation and other water body help to make much production can be produced more in highland crops cultivation. Proper management and better agricultural practices cause to the high production in future.

Opis:
In this study the attempt is made to find the impact of Microfinance banks on the development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with specific reference to Damaturu the capital of Yobe State of Nigeria. The main objective of the study was to assess the development of small and medium scale enterprises gearing the whole attention to the contribution of microfinance banks and to evaluate the aftermath of the strict borrowing condition of microfinance banks on the development of the small and medium scale enterprises. For this purpose, the study used representative random sampling and administered fifty (50) questionnaires out of which forty-one (41) were correctly filled and returned. For the analysis of data, the research used Chi-square tool to test the formulated hypotheses. After the careful analysis of data, the findings revealed that the bank is in good position to enhance the development of SMEs in the study area even though little entrepreneurs patronize due to the interest rate attached to the fund. The findings also revealed that the strict borrowing condition in place ordained by the bank is also a militating factor that prevent entrepreneurs from patronizing the service of the bank. The study recommended that government should intervene in the contemporary issues and lay hands in bestowing relief to those banks and in encouraging them in many ways, such like tax holidays and it’s like to keep this sub-industry of small and medium scale enterprises alive for the good of all.

Opis:
Lassa fever is an acute viral disease that is endemic in West African countries of Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. Since the first case was reported in Lassa town Nigeria in 1969, Mali 2009, Ghana in late 2011 and serological evidences of the virus was reported in Togo and Benin in 2014 the virus has assumed an endemic proportion in West Africa. Deforestation which is the deliberate disruption of the natural forest ecosystem has been implicated as a major cause of the virus holding to the fact that the natural habitats of the rodent host have been tampered and hence they seek refuge in human homes. Most research work have been centered on the epidemiology ,hygiene and mode of transmission of the zoonotic virus without critical consideration of habitat destruction of this rodents that negate their relocation to human homes in search of food and alternative shelter. This review article aims to raise awareness on the urgent need to control deforestation acts in order to prevent further outbreak of Lassa fever.

Opis:
Economic sanctions serve as a foreign policy tool which allows a country or countries to exercise their own political ends on the target country by the time a conflict unfolds. Sanctions mean actual deprivation or threats to deprivation of the target country from access to economic resources in order to create changes to the policies of that country which are principally exercised unilaterally, multilaterally or collectively. After the First World War, the number of 183 rounds of economic sanctions were enforced where as many as 140 rounds of which had been implemented by the United States. Today, explanation of adoption and exercise of most economic sanctions is based on human rights claims. Despite all this, a closer look at the impacts of sanctions and also failure and success of which in fulfilling their goals reveals that sanctions are not appropriate tools for the promotion of human rights and their safeguarding. Sanctions have some adverse impacts that could lead to a degradation of human rights in the target country. This impact mostly emerges due to the dependency of human rights on the income level of the states; because a state must have enough resources so that it can promote education, health, employment and other human rights norms. Through this channel, this research intends via a scientific analysis method and utilization of credible researches with reference to credible evidence and judicial procedures of international authorities to substantiate whether there is a rational relationship between the category of economic sanctions and its relevant legal elements within human rights and international laws. In this analysis by relying on international teachings and based on legal arguments, the legitimacy extent of the U.S. sanctions against Iran and Iraq has been assessed and an overall picture of is presented.

Opis:
Livestock are reared throughout the world, and are an important agricultural product in virtually every country. This animal production systems and climate change are inter-related via complex mechanisms. Animal production influences climate change by emitting greenhouse gases such as methane and nitrous oxide. It is estimated to be the livestock sector is contributing a significant share of global GHG emissions, accounting for approximately two-thirds of direct agricultural emissions and about 14.5 percent of total human-induced emissions when supply chains are considered. Therefore, globally, there is an urgent need to reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that cause climate change by at least 80 per cent in wealthy countries and to protect the biodiversity which underpins food production. Dietary manipulation, ionophores, bacteriocins, covered anaerobic digesters, awareness creation and intensifying research and development are among the applicable methane mitigation strategies. Moreover, research bodies are also organizing to deliver findings at an international level; which focuses on the identification and development of technologies and practices to increase food production without increasing green house gases emissions.

Opis:
Iran has over 6000 kilometers joint (land) border with countries of Afghanistan, Pakistan Turkmenistan, Turkey, Armenia, Republic of Azarbaijan and Iraq. Iran also has a 2700 kilometer maritime border in the Caspian Sea, Persian Gulf and Oman Sea and has the longest border with Iraq and shortest border with Armenia. Border dwellers turn to smuggling due to some reasons. This research addresses reasons why border dwellers tend to goods smuggling and its impacts on the non-accomplishment of economic development. This research is descriptive in nature and its methodology is export facto; because the researcher seeks to find possible ways in which border dwellers tend to goods smuggling. The statistical population of this research consists of male residents in the city of Bane in 2014 who amounted to 30000. The sample volume was selected 384 people based on the Morgan formula who were selected via random sampling. The research tool was a researcher made questionnaire where appropriate questions and options were used given the research's hypotheses and objectives. The questionnaire's validity was confirmed by professors and the mean questionnaire's reliability was estimated 0/75 by using Cronbach's alpha. The results of the current research finding which are in line with the researches investigated in this field suggest that factors related with familial subsistence and factors related with the ecobomic system have all affected tendency to goods smuggling.
