The present work deals with the frequency of the occurrence of trichomonadasis in the various groups of the age examined men and in relation of the age of the examined, with stress laid on the role of the sexual route in the spreading of the infection and with the problem of symptomfree trichomonadosis in men. During the period from September 1, 1959 till April 1, 1961 a total number of 827 males were examined, whereby 51 of them proved to be infected with Trichomonas vaginalis. Most frequently trichomonadosis occurred between the 21 and 40 year of life. Among the healthy men serially examined the infection with trichomonadosis was diagnosed in 2,1% of the cases, and among the persons suspected of venereal diseases (sexual contacts, patients from UNG) in 10,8%. The results of these studies do not differ from those of other authors. The attention is drawn by the fact that in persons receiving treatment because of gonorrhoea, before the initiation of the treatment simultaneously was found the presence of Trichomonas vaginalis in 3,8% of the cases, however, after completing the antigonorrhoea treatment-in 7,8% of the cases. In the course of the examinations of the males, the sexual partners of women suffering from trichomonadosis, in 36,3% of them Trichomonas vaginalis was found. Among the women, sexual partners of men suffering from trichomonadosis the infection was found in 100% of the examined. From these studies it is evident that infection by the sexual intercourse route plays a very essential role in the epidemiology of trichomonadosis in men. Finally attention is drawn to the frequently symptomfree course of trichomonadosis in men. In the authors' own material, symptomfree trichomonadosis was found in 41,1% of the examined. The epidemiological significance of this fact is stressed and in connection with this, attention is drawn to the necessity of an examination of all men, sexual partners of women suffering from trichomonadosis. Such an examination forms an essential element in the prophylaxis of this disease and a condition of efficacy of the treatment.

Using the hemagglutination test the authors came to the conclusion that a positive result is a transitory phenomenon related to the presence of the parasite in old cases or to the deinfestation procedure. The removal of Taenia from the organism results - in uncomplicated cases - in the loss of positive reaction.

The results obtained are given in the tables. The total number of examined bulls was 56579, including 30130 bulls belonging to socialized and 26499 to private farms. The analysis of the obtained data shows: (1) a steady decrease of the incidence of the disease for several years; (2) that bulls belonging to private farms are more often infected (598 postive results, i.e., 2.2% of examined bulls) than in socialized ones (218 and 0.7% respectively).

Opis:
Little is known about congenital toxoplasmosis in twins. As in singletons fetal infection occurs usually in mothers seroconverted during second or third trimester of pregnancy. Infection affects usually both siblings, but there is posible that one child is not infected, especially in dizygotic pregnancies. A distinct difference in clinical patterns between dizygotic and monozygotic twins is observed. In monozygotic pairs most often clinical course is similar, while in dizygotic twins discrepancies in clinical findings are frequent and marked. For almost thirty years of our own experience with congenital toxoplasmosis we observed only four pairs of twins with this intrauterine infection. All of them were dizygotic. In two pairs the clinical course was similar, and different in the other two.

The yeast-like fungi are typical opportunistic microorganisms which may be a part of normal commensally ontocenosis. Many species of Candida genus may be also a cause of candidosis in human and animals. Clinical symptoms occurred customly in patient with cellular immunity deficiencies. Horizontal (person-to-person) form of transmission is also possible, including family infection or group infection in animals, mostly in birds. According to actual data, zoonotic status of candidosis is still not fully documented. In animals, candidosis more often occurs as endogenic infection. The separate problem is infection of animals with significance suppressed immune system, e.g. with tumor diseases. In necroscopy investigation very often in these animals disseminated candidosis has been observed. On different way the infections of Candida spp. are manifested in birds, when Candida albicans occurs as marginal population of normal intestinal ontocenosis. During stress the intestinal fungal population is growing up for critical value and typical crop candidosis is developing. In our routine diagnostic work we have isolated Candida strains from nutritional tract in laboratory mice. This yeast were isolated also from the bottom of the boxes and from mice faeces.

Patients with trichinellosis (154), divided in 3 groups, depending on the severity of clinical picture, were observed for the effect of glycocorticoids, butazolidine and butazolidine combined with glycocorticoids. There were no essential differences among the individual groups treated with glycocorticoids, butazolidine or butazolidine along with glycocorticoids as to the persistance of clinical symptoms (muscular pains, oedema, fever). Moreover, it was found that, in patients with moderate or slight degree of trichinellosis, treated only with allergan and calcium gluconatum, the muscular pains persisted for the same period cf time, whereas fever and oedema subsided as early as in the first days of the treatment.
