Czy zasada „sola Scriptura”pomaga czy przeszkadza w zjednoczeniu chrześcijaństwa?
Does the principle „sola Scriptura” help or prevent the reunificationof Christianity?

Opis:
The principle of sola Scriptura is one of the four rules of the Reformation movement. Its meaning, however, is not precisely determined. Protestants consider the Bible the only source of Revelation. This is not only a source of knowledge but also source of faith. Contemporary hermeneutics was initiated by Protestant philosophers and theologians. But nowadays it has been accepted and is also being developedby the Catholic theologian. The greatest novelty introduced by the Reformation is not a methodological modification at the noematic level but a difference in the perception of oneself as an interpreting person. The Reformation gave the individual the courage to undermine the rules accepted by the community. The personal activity on the community was put to the fore, and the community's action on the individualwas limited to the necessary minimum. It seems that the slogan sola Scriptura is just an invitation to individualism in interpretation. The principle that puts the Bible directly in the center of community life requires interpretation as every word. It seems that a common agreement on the understanding of this principle by Catholics and Protestants, in which the role of the community in the process of interpretation would be recognized, could open a new chapter in the pursuit of the reunification of Christianity.

Opis:
The article presents this teaching of the pope Benedict XVI, which deals with the mystery of the Heart of Jesus. Benedict XVI remarks that the essence of Christianity is expressed in the Heart of Jesus. The mystery of the most holy Heart of Jesus shows the sensitive, sincere, sympathetic and compassionate love of God, which reveals itself mainly in the cross of the Redeemer. The experience of this love is a force which changes human’s existence. Benedict XVI shows that the task of Christians is to intensify the connection with the Heart of Jesus – this connection should reinvigorate their faith in the saving love of God.

Opis:
Over the centuries, exercising authority in the Catholic Church had been generating many doubts and problems. The extreme understanding the Pope’s role as an absolute monarch who independently decides about all dimensions of the Church has supplanted with time the known from the Apostle’s time communal management of the Mystical body of Christ. Just the Second Vatican Council and the last few popes noticed this particular problem. And one of the given solutions was the necessity of the return to the former way of exercising power by the college of bishops united around the Saint Peter’s Successor. Synods whose provisions would be presented to the Bishop of Rome for possible corrections and acceptance could again become a tool of power. By the analysis of the patrology research results, the history of the Catholic Church and dogmatic theology as well as sources and the subject literature it was possible to answer the question what synodality is in general, where does it draw its foundations and what is its role in building of the Kingdom of God. It was also possible to outline the perspective of the further Church development in an increasingly globalised world. The reflection on the historical formation of a proper understanding of collegiality and primacy proved helpful in understanding the goals behind the ”decentralization” of power in the Church postulated today by Pope Francis.

Opis:
When Paul VI published the encyclical "Humanae vitae" fi{y years ago, not only did he confirm the unchanging position of the Church on artificial methods of birth control, but also elevated the status of parents. Parents were bestowed upon a title which the Church had previously mostly given only to apostlesand mystics – “free and responsible collaborators of God the Creator”. The present population decline within the Western civilisation appears to be strongly favoured by the mass “silent apostasy”, which manifests itself in practice as a “contraceptive mentality”. Couples' refusal of life goes hand in hand with the refusal to collaborate with the personal and active God. Although contraception involves the sexual sphere, it is a violation not of the Sixth Commandment (contrary to what one might think), but of the First one. The pill undoubtedly contributes radically to the changing of the vision of man, woman, loyalty and parental generosity, but most importantly, it is damaging to one's relation of trust with God. It is no longer God who decides upon the shape of life. Pope Paul VI spoke half a century ago from the position of one who took into serious consideration the prospect of eternal life and God's presence in the human existence. His objection to the voices of the majority only confirmed the fact that truth is not achieved by means of a survey or votingof a survey or voting.
