Opis:
Transport is one of the key elements allowing to achieve goals, tasks and plans. Transport need results from the necessity of moving from one place to another. To make it happen, the resource in the form of a means of transport is necessary. Another aspect is organizational actions. The basic source of transport demand is diversity of distribution of the factors allowing to run business. Due to globalization of economy, range and frequency of transports have considerably increased. New logistic chains, networks of terminals and intermodal connections are being created every year. The goal of all these actions is to reduce transport costs and improve the whole process. The authors of this article set a goal of defining the role of optimization of transport costs using a consolidation service. Conducted analysis confirmed that consolidation services reduce the costs of transport of small cargos.

Opis:
The authors of this article presented technologies of spreading coatings over structural details of automated guided vehicles used in the handling terminals. Technological process of painting with the use of powder paints was presented, as well as innovative methods of surface preparation with the use of BONDERITE M‐NT 2011 technology and OXILAN 9807 preparation. Modern methods of surface preparation with production of silane conversion coatings were presented and analysed. The authors of this article selected a system of guaranteed power supply of the processing lines. ABCUS software was applied to check the time of battery backup of UPS units in selected N+1 system.

Opis:
Ensuring safety of railway traffic is one of the most important goals of every state. All incidents connected with security that take place in the networks of railway lines result in taking actions aimed at elimination of similar situations in the future. The elements affecting security of the railway system include: technical condition of railway infrastructure and rolling stock, applicable law, people, that is, professional qualifications and proper performance of tasks by the workers. The authors formulated the following research problem: what are the strengths of railway security, and what should be improved? The methodology of qualitative analysis was applied. The survey research on the level of security and diagnostics of causes, needs and options of improvement of security in rail transport were conducted. Broad analysis and inference were conducted. The directions of improvement of security in supervisory, technical, organizational and operational terms in railway transport were presented in this article.
