Opis:
In this presentation I try to explain the process of social integration of disabled people. I present the issues of the social and legal situation of the disabled, myths and stereotypes created by society and integration education (the presence of disabled children in normal schools). I prepared it using the available professional literature and generally accepted educational programmes in Polish schools. Moreover, I analised legislative acts concerning the disabled. I also used information from web sites, which are created by various organisations of the disabled. The analysis shows that the number of disabled people depends on the health condition, and living conditions of society and also the efficient work of the health service. Moreover, we must remember that the phenomenon of disability becomes more intensive with aging, as the consequence of the population growing older. Perceiving the status of a disabled person depends on such factors as: value systems in a given society, cultural influences and socioeconomic status of a country. If the marginalisation of certain social groups lasted for a long time, a completely natural reaction in such a situation would be a tendency to strengthen and consolidate one’s identity, and also cultural and social distinction. The prejudices and stereotypes, concerning the disabled functioning in society, account for the main difficulties in their full revalidation and rehabilitation. The idea of integration, which means their full inclusion in social life, requires a change in the attitudes from negative to positive: tolerance, acceptance and cooperation.

Opis:
Comparative empirical studies of digital exclusion have been conducted in Poland and South Korea. Surveys of students (including doctoral candidates) and in-depth interviews with academic teachers at selected universities and fields of study were used (N=135). The average differences in the opinions of Polish and Korean students are not statistically significant at the level of p<0.05. Therefore, an independent sample t-test was performed. The most common exclusion variables are objective (or technological) factors, whereas a lesser role is played by subjective (or psychological and sociological) factors.

Opis:
The presented paper is focused on the problem of social life organization as a source of changes in human behaviour and development. Based on the discussion of literature from the areas of life-span psychology, life-course sociology, and psychology of future-orientation, evidence for the increasing importance of non-normative challenges in human development is presented. Firstly, an overview of changes in social age system in modern society is given to describe the phenomenon of life course deregulation during the late 20th century. Secondly, some of the empirical data on adolescents' life-plans are discussed in a perspective of expected changes in the transition to adulthood of next generations of young people. Regarding adolescents' life planning, it is concluded that young people are aware of changes in the normative structure of life course, and they manifest a long moratorium on entering adulthood, mainly in the area of goals related to family life.

The author discusses problems that hinder the formation of modern, information-based society and educational reform it requires. The reform in education must be oriented towards implementing a drive for lifelong education and preparing young people for living in a society based on knowledge and free-market economy, but also - in the world of chaos of values and axiological emptiness, where they will have to bear responsibility for their own complete development. Activities undertaken by European and Polish authorities in order to aid the educational reform are also discussed.

Opis:
The study presents the results of team-based, interdisciplinary comparative research on young learners’ life plans and choices – students of full-time academic pedagogy courses and future teachers in selected Central and Eastern European countries. In their life planning model, students considered specific properties of designing and implementing plans: the degree of orientation towards goals, telic orientation, richness of life contents, productivity, social orientation, and emotional and motivational involvement. Our research also met the most important preliminary conditions for data comparability – conceptual, statistical, and interpretative. The comparison of the declarations of students from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ukraine reveals significant differences in all preferred life goals, except for a life that commands respect and is pursued under moral values.
