Opis:
Background: The aim of the research was to determine the health locus of control (HLC) of undergraduates of Jozef Pilsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw. Material and Methods: The subjects were 241 undergraduates (111 female and 130 male). Polish version of Multidimensional Health Locus of Control Scale (MHLC; Wallston & DeVellis) was applied. Results: Results show that Polish undergraduates presented a moderate level of belief personal control over their health. Investigated group is quite homogeneous with regard to HLC. Conclusions: Comparisons with earlier research data show that greater differences in HLC appear for undergraduates of the same faculties but from different universities than for students from various faculties within one university.

Opis:
This study examined the role of women’s education in birth control in Rwanda from 1995 to 2000. It was conducted in four provinces, including Kigali City, using a survey questionnaire to collect data using a descriptive methodological approach. The population size is estimated to be 1067 n, comprised of women aged 15 to 49. Results indicated that younger women with fertility desire between 2–3 children are 75.07%; the rural area cohabitation rate among college students is 37.82%, while the Western model cohabitation in urban areas and universities is 19.23%; and contraceptive use is 46.3% among young women and 72.34%; among married women. Therefore, there was a significantly higher correlation between women with a high level of education and a lower fertility desire, which resulted in an increase in the age of first marriage.

Opis:
Education is a metaprocess focused on causing changes in individual and social resources of experience, knowledge, skills, attitudes, beliefs and aspirations, as well as in the state of health and physical fitness. This system of processes consists of many diverse interrelated interactions, actions, acts, deeds and activities, with many related elements and components, and among them control and evaluation activities. The purpose of the article is to present the results of analyzes and thoughts related to the determination of the role of these activities among other educational acts, related in particular to cooperation and mutual interaction. It goes well beyond the commonly accepted so-called school and colloquial understanding of these terms. They are treated primarily as cognitive and research activities, as well as valuing activities, as subject-making, person-forming and sociogenic tools. The basis of the research was a diachronic-synchronous model of the full, broadly understood act of educational activity. The resulting conclusions indicate their fundamental role in education.
