Opis:
Issues concerning the e-university teacher in the context of e-learning as an implemented from-method of education are solved on the basis of literature and quality environmental research. Theoretical analysis covers a range of media pedagogy and academic pedeutology and quality research the students of postgraduate and extra-mural studies participated in. Developed research material revealed that there are two perspectives ahead of academic e-teacher: 1) intensive preparation for e-learning implementation, especially in extra-mural and postgraduate studies; 2) satisfying students’ various educational needs with the use of traditional and multimedia forms-methods for their preparation for LLL. We should also predict that the robot of a university teacher assistant in the future will become competition in the higher education market.

The text presents the empirical study aimed at understanding teachers’ opinions on designing and implementing a remote teaching - learning process. Research shows that the leading e-learning courses definitely focus on the acquisition of knowledge by students. It is recommended that teachers take action in developing their own strategies in remote teaching. The results of the research may be an important part in the discussion on online teaching that constantly takes place in the environment of teachers dealing with the media.

New distance learning technologies are not necessarily better for learning than old methods. Consequently, choice of learning method should be related to course content and students' needs. In this context, a hybrid distance learning model is imperative. This paper is based on the authors' personal and practical teaching experience with distance learning over 30 years, i.e. since 1972. The authors use their knowledge of distance learning and distance learning technologies - combined with their considerable experience of education in different types of higher education institutions - to analyse and reflect on the current vogue of distance learning and e-learning. Using an argumentative research approach, the authors draw upon data collected from their personal experiences of distance learning in the UK. In addition, the paper surveys current literature and distance learning activities outside the UK, in particular in the USA.

Opis:
The topic Theoretical Concepts, Sources and Technical Background of E-learning is discussed in a project of the Czech Science Foundation. A research team from three Czech universities (University of Ostrava, Charles University in Prague and University of West Bohemia in Pilsen) is working on the project. Its aim is to summarise theoretical concepts, to analyse sources of content, to assess methodological background and to search for technical solutions how to transfer some titles of current courseware into electronic version and to evaluate the efficiency of procedure. The methodology of transformation can help authors of study materials (not only e-learning), they may benefit from old instructional programmes.

While discussion on faculty development in China has been increasing in recent years, our understanding of the strategy for the development remains limited. This study with a survey aimed to examine whether e-learning could meet faculty members’ expectations for their professional development. Our findings suggest that e-learning is identified as a preferred means of opening new opportunities to meet the needs of faculty in China where faculty development still remains traditional training and it has bright prospects. The result also highlights individual perspectives as a critical factor shaping e-learning behavior, and provides implications for the policy of faculty development.

The evolution of theoretical learning concepts brings new stimuli to lifelong learning practice. One of the new theoretical bases appropriate for adult education is an experiential learning theory which analyses and evaluates educational projects and study materials for distance learning as well as e-learning educational programmes from the standpoint of potential learning effectiveness. At the same time, it can be a gnoseological theoretical basis of designing educational programmes for adults, either on a theoretical basis of distance learning, e-learning, or on the basis of their purposeful integration, which is becoming more and more frequent in andragogy. The study gives general tenets of andragogy, presents the main characteristics of experiential learning along with its two major developmental variants – Kolb’s cycle and Jarvis´ revised model of the processes of learning. It defines the basic features of distance learning and e-learning, and formulates general stimuli how to apply experiential learning within these relatively integral educational technologies. In conclusion, it brings about information on practical use of theoretical approaches to teaching pedagogical subjects within educational programmes at universities.

The main goal of this paper was to indicate the possible use of a specific model of e-learning for computer science teachers in Serbia. Taking this aim into account, the authors accurately indicated the subject of the proposed research: development of a model system for the implementation of e-learning for the level of higher education in Serbia for teachers, with a special emphasis on informatics education. This e-learning model indicates equal participation of major areas of information technology and pedagogy and teaching methodology, pedagogy, ICT and media. The proposed research subject is of high importance in the development of the education system in Serbia and as such is adapted to the needs of a knowledge society and to realize the scientific contribution to the subject area. This work represents a good starting point for further work and continuing research presented, referring to the concrete results of research by the author.

The purpose of this study is to offer a methodological framework for assessing e-learning capacities in blended educational scheme, based on users’ experiences, with an ultimate goal of getting a clearer view of what should be improved within existing systems of this kind. Accordingly, a survey among sixty students at the post graduate level and ten experienced instructors was conducted at “Mediterranean” University in Montenegro. An assessment model based on a particular combination of binary and Saaty’s matrix approaches was used for adding the quantitative dimension to the considered issue, with an intention to generate more specific directions for redesigning and improving key features of contemporary web-based e-learning systems (WBEL) in the blended environment by making them more valuable and user-friendly ones.

Due to social distancing measures imposed by the COVID-19 epidemic, universities all over the world have predominantly moved to online teaching and e-learning. In order to investigate the effectiveness of the current e-learning course, the qualitative online-survey study was carried out to assemble data on students’ perceptions. In this article we present the result of empirical research in Indonesia during pandemic. The research focused on the e-learning tools, encountered obstacles, physical problems, and preferable learning methods. The outcomes gained in the research can be provided to the constitutional agencies, educational institutions, and other participants to expand the progression of e-learning.

The research was aimed at learning academic teachers’ opinions on their own skills and possibilities of using various resources from the e-learning environment, as well as the ways in which they apply information and communication technologies in the educational process.

Educational on-line games are promising for new generations of students who are grown up digital. The new generations of students are technology savvy and spend lots of time on the web and on social networks. Based on an exploratory study, this article investigates the factors that influence students’ willingness to participate in serious games for teaching/learning. This study investigates the relationship between students’ behavior on Facebook, Facebook games, and their attitude toward educational on-line games. The results of the study reveal that the early adopters of educational games are likely to be students, who are young, have only a few Facebook connections, who currently play Facebook game(s). Furthermore, the study emphasizes that there may be differences between students coming from various countries.

Opis:
User interface becomes the major channel to convey information in e-learning context: a well-designed and friendly interface is thus the key element in helping users to get the best results quickly. This paper investigates the importance of a certain choice offered: if several graphical user interface designs are offered to distance learning students of known learning styles, should we find any preferences? To find that, a procedure for determining association between learning styles and GUI was devised. A total of 51 participants were tested to find out if there was any correlation between students’ learning styles and their GUI preferences. We have found that the fact of having any preference towards a GUI is associated with AC score of Kolb’s model.

The arrival of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) has brought about intense methodological restructuring in the participating countries. These changes, along with the development of ICT, are reshaping the Higher Education system. The emergence of advanced technological tools like the Moodle platform has altered the teaching-learning process at every educational cycle. This paper springs from the work undertaken as part of the ongoing project for Educational Excellence in collaboration with three Andalusia universities: Seville, Cadiz and Huelva. The study was entitled Tele-education Platforms for Virtual Instruction. Since work at the University of Huelva has taken into consideration the students at some point, and the University of Córdoba lacks research on this area, we decided to examine the role of the student at the University of Cordoba as side-work to the original project. To this purpose, we designed an instrument to determine the students’ rate of use, level of satisfaction and level of knowledge of the Moodle platform. Thus, with this paper we would like to emphasize the relevance of students as key elements in the education system, as recipients of the teaching process.

The aim of this research is to analyze anxiety, knowledge, and belief toward e-learning acceptance, especially by science teachers in high schools in Aceh, Indonesia. About 117 teachers were randomly selected for this study. A questionnaire was used to collect data, and analyzed using the Likert scale. The results indicate that most teachers view the use of e-learning in teaching science to be positive. Despite the fact that only half of them are knowledgeable in the use of media and have concerns about some negative effects of e-learning on students, they still believed in the usefulness of e-learning in science education. Hence, more related research is recommended to further corroborate the findings of this study.

Opis:
The article presents knowledge about the modified e-learning on-line synchronous teaching of digital systems, which took place in the period of widespread closure of schools during almost the entire school year 2020/2021 at a secondary school with an IT focus. The importance of teaching digital systems in computer science and the integration of teaching into available lessons is briefly clarified. Furthermore, the content of teaching is presented, including its modification by elements of programming by DCBLP discourse and links to existing knowledge about this use from previous years. The subject of research interest will be the specific effects of changes on students’ opinions regarding the content of the subject. For this purpose, a qualitative investigation based on the design of the grounded theory will be used. The work brings partial knowledge that can serve as additional material for the determination of other research questions, hypotheses and identification of potential problems in teaching. The results show the pupils’ interest in the digital systems enriched by the programming discourse reveals the possible perception of a long time distance learning in this area.
