Among many functions that the family is performing socialization is one of the most important. The need for this function arises from the fact that, in contrast to certain biological characteristics, a child being born does not bring with him any cultural patterns. A child wins them in the process of socialization through the impact of socializing agencies. The family is one of them; it is the first and most important. In the process of socialization children acquire skills that they will need in their lives, learn and internalize moral norms prevailing in the groups, in which they are actively involved and adopt a system of values applicable to them. You could say that the whole of human cultural sphere is a “gift” of the society forwarded to them by specific socializing agencies. Certain social roles comprise a specific nature of duty and service. In such cases the implementation of the common good - the good of others is fundamental to them. A classic example is the establishment of priestly and religious vocation. Professional work of a priest and monk is par excellence a strict deontology, having in mind above all benefits of others. Preparation of the individuals for such roles must inherently be twofold: on the one skill acquisition as in all other professions, but also moral qualifications that will enable a person to perform such roles. The role of the family in this regard is unique and irreplaceable. One can even say that it is the primary seminary waking up and shaping the vocation to priesthood and religious life.

Opis:
Usually the formation in the seminary is determined by the documents of the Church. But each environment is introducing into formation certain own characteristic aspects. The general principles of formation will underline the necessity of formation the statures of faith in the presence of the Savior in liturgical ceremonies, to have proper knowledge concerning the ceremonies and acquiring skills to celebrate them properly. In this structure enters proper character of the SCJ seminary. It will be the formation of the sensitive person for the presence of Jesus Christ, what was underlined by our Founder in the picture of St. John resting on the heart of Our Lord during the Last Supper. The other aspect will be the ability to undertake the acts of reparation, in compliance with the rules of the Church. The other characteristic ability will be the love of the Church and Holy Father. All these statures are nothing else but only deepening characteristics of Christian and catholic features.

Artykuł ma za zadanie wskazać na chrystocentryczne źródła życia konsekrowanego. Jezus Chrystus jest dla osób konsekrowanych założycielem i wzorem obranej przez nich formy życia. Syn Boży jawi się jako wzór konsekracji opartej na profesji rad ewangelicznych, która w sensie ścisłym oznacza naśladowanie formy życia praktykowanej przez Niego. Artykuł wskazuje także na paschalny wymiar konsekracji, która zakorzeniona jest w konsekracji chrzcielnej, będącej początkiem życia Bożego w człowieku, oraz w Eucharystii. Naśladując Chrystusa czystego, ubogiego i posłusznego, osoby konsekrowane stają się świadkami Jego obecności w świecie.
The goal of the article is to present the Christocentric sources of the consecrated life. Jesus Christ is for all the consecrated people their founder and pattern for the chosen by them form of life. The son of God is indeed the model of consecration based on the profession of the evangelical counsels which in the strict sense means to follow the form of life He has chosen and practised himself. The article picked out on the paschal dimension of the consecration, which is deeply rooted in the baptismal consecration, which is the beginning of the God’s life in human as well as in the Eucharist. Following Christ who is chaste, poor and obedient the consecrated people become the witnesses of His presence in the world.

This article aims to show the vocation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart in the ecclesial context. In the light of reflection of Vatican Council II each and individual religious vocation, as well as all the religious life, is firmly inscribed in the life of the Church itself. In this context the vocation and the mission of the Congregation of the Sacred Heart shall be placed as well. At first, the figure of the Founder of the Congregation, of father Leo Dehon, is presented as of a man who in his vocation was fully loyal and committed to the Church. Then the ecclesial nature of the SCJ vocation is discussed on the base of the current Constitutions of the Congregation; and finally, the mission of Polish Priests of the Sacred Heart in the local and universal Church is presented. Outlined issues help us to state that the Congregation of the Sacred Heart, which was established primarily to address the needs of the Church of Fr Dehon’s times, even today, as it is clearly seen on the example of the Polish Province of the Congregation, through its own charism and ministry partakes in the Church’s evangelizing mission of our time. The Priests of the Sacred Heart are present in a wide circle of the Church’s mission, both in distant countries, as the mission ad gentes and in the areas of the new evangelization which embraces the countries of Eastern and Western Europe as well. Wherever the Congregation is present, it carries out its mission in a close cooperation and under the pastoral custody of the Shepherds of the local Churches. Also today, as it was in the time of the Founder, the Congregation enters into those areas of human life, which the most demand support and evangelization. In this way, it is naturally complementing the pastoral ministry of the diocesan churches.

Rzeczywistość powołania zakłada istnienie osoby wołającej i wołanej, jak również pozytywnej odpowiedzi w formie przyjęcia wołania i podjęcia wynikających z niego konsekwencji. Jezus Chrystus, będąc zarazem Synem Bożym, w swoim człowieczeństwie doświadczył rzeczywistości powołania ze strony Boga. Dane ku jej poznaniu zawarte są w pismach prorockich Starego Testamentu, zwłaszcza w Pieśniach o Słudze Pańskim, które – poddane podejściu kanonicznemu w lekturze Pisma Świętego – dostarczają wymownego klucza w odczytaniu realizacji misji Jezusa w Nowym Testamencie. Równocześnie teksty Nowego Testamentu zawierają świadectwa, w których to sam Chrystus powołuje konkretnych ludzi, jednak z różnym skutkiem: natychmiastowego pójścia za Nim, odmowy w podjęciu wezwania czy stawiania wstępnych warunków. Również u samych powołanych, którzy natychmiast odpowiedzieli na wezwanie, pojawiła się niewierność i opuszczenie Jezusa w godzinie próby krzyża. Rzeczą znamienną jest fakt, że po swoim zmartwychwstaniu Pan Jezus powtórnie ich wezwał i potwierdził ich misję apostolską.
The reality of a vocation presupposes the existence of a person calling and being called, as well as a positive response in the form of accepting the call and taking up the consequences that follow. Jesus Christ, being at the same time the Son of God, in his humanity, experienced the reality of vocation on the part of God. The data for its knowledge are contained in the prophetic writings of the Old Testament, especially in the Songs of the Servant of the Lord, which, when subjected to a canonical approach in the reading of Scripture, provide an eloquent key in reading the realisation of Jesus' mission in the New Testament. At the same time, the New Testament texts contain testimonies in which it is Jesus himself who calls specific people, but with varying results: immediate following, refusal to take up the call or the imposition of preconditions. Also in the very people called, who immediately responded to the call, there was infidelity and abandonment of Jesus in the hour of the trial of the cross. It is significant that after his resurrection, the Lord Jesus called them again and confirmed their apostolic mission.

Trynitarne źródło życia zakonnego jest widoczne na różnych poziomach: na poziomie powołania, poziomie instytutów oraz poszczególnych wspólnot. Artykuł porusza również zagadnienie świadectwa osób konsekrowanych oraz wymiaru profetycznego życia zakonnego.
The purpose of this article is to show the Triune God as a source of a consecrated life. The vocation to the consecrated life is being born of free God’s initiative. The religious vows, as the Holy Trinity’s gift, are reflections of that way of life, which God’s Son accepted, who was sent by Father in Holy Spirit. Trinitarian source of consecrated life is seen in various aspects: the aspect of vocation, the aspect of institutes and the aspect of communities. The author of the article also raises the topic of the testimony of consecrated people and prophetic aspect of consecrated life.

Życie konsekrowane rodzące się z Bożej inicjatywy winno być rozważane w perspektywie charyzmatycznej. Duch Święty, który działa w Kościele, nie tylko stoi u początku każdego instytutu konsekrowanego, ale staje się też źródłem licznych owoców na przestrzeni wieków. Życie konsekrowane objawia się jako rzeczywistość nieustannie zmieniająca się i owocująca, podległa stałej inspiracji Ducha Świętego. W artykule zostanie omówiony potrójny wymiar obecności Parakleta w życiu konsekrowanym: w powołaniu człowieka do świętości, w charyzmacie instytutów i w nowych formach życia konsekrowanego. Dzięki temu będzie można łatwiej dostrzec wymiar charyzmatyczny tej formy życia w Kościele.
Consecrated life born from the God’s initiative should be considered in the charismatic perspective. Holy Spirit, who works in the Church, not only stands at the beginning of each institute of the consecrated life, but has been the source of countless blessings and positive fruits throughout the centuries. Consecrated life manifests itself as the always changing reality which under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit brings about many fruits. In the article one can find the explanation for Trinitarian dimension of the presence of the Paraclete in the consecrated life: Firstly in the vocation of a human to sainthood, secondly in the charism of the particular institute or form of the consecrated life. Finally thanks to these dimensions mentioned above one can easily discover another one, which is the charismatic form of living within the Church.

Z punktu widzenia biblijnego i nauczania kościelnego kategoria powołania jawi się jako kluczowa dla zrozumienia i określenia miejsca człowieka w świecie i nadania mu sensu. Wydaje się jednak, że obecnie ta kategoria znajduje się w kryzysie, o czym świadczy znikome odwoływanie się do niej w teologii i w życiu duchowym, a niejednokrotnie zastępuje się ją innymi kategoriami, wśród których na pierwsze miejsce wchodzi modna kategoria profesjonalizmu. Z drugiej jednak strony, człowiek odkrywa dzisiaj głód ducha rozumiany jako poszukiwanie głębszego sensu swojej misji w świecie. Jest on na pewno wzbudzany przez Ducha Świętego oraz same wydarzenia i zjawiska historyczne, które dzisiaj obserwujemy, potwierdzające, że chodzi o głód Ducha Świętego, który ukierunkowuje życie ludzkie na Boga. Odnowione odwołanie się więc do kategorii powołania może przyczynić się do wzbudzenia w człowieku nowego zapału duchowego i czynnego uczestniczenia w dziejach.
From the biblical point of view as well as for what the teachings of the Church state the notion of vocation appears to be a key category for the understanding and determining the place of man in the world and for making him meaningful. However, it seems that, currently this category is confronted with a period of crisis, which is reflected in a scarce number of references made to it in theology and spiritual life. It happens quite often that other categories are substituted for it like for instance “professionalism” which is one of the most fashionable categories of this sort these days. On the other hand, man discovers today a craving for the spirit understood as a search for a more profound meaning of his mission in the world. It is certainly inspired by the Holy Spirit and the very historical events and phenomena which we can observe today and which confirm the fact that it is about the craving for the Holy Spirit who turns people towards God. The renewed reference to the category of vocation may contribute to the stimulation of a new spiritual zeal in man and to an active participation in the course of history.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest prezentacja kultury powołaniowej, czyli takiego spojrzenia na człowieka, które umożliwia danej osobie odkrycie i realizację niepowtarzalnego powołania, jakie Bóg w swojej miłości tej osobie proponuje. We wstępnej części tekstu przedstawione zostaną podstawowe pojęcia z zakresu duszpasterstwa powołań. Część zasadnicza to analiza kultury powołaniowej. Chodzi o taką kulturę, która pomaga wychowankom zrozumieć i przyjąć otrzymany od Boga dar człowieczeństwa oraz dorastać do świętości, czyli do takiej miary dojrzałości w byciu człowiekiem, jaka jest pragnieniem Boga, a zarazem warunkiem odkrycia i realizacji powołania szczegółowego, czyli powołania do bycia małżonkiem i rodzicem, kapłanem albo osobą konsekrowaną. Ostatnia część niniejszego artykułu opisuje taki styl życia wychowanków w odniesieniu do ciała, płciowości, seksualności, sfery moralnej, duchowej, religijnej i społecznej, który umożliwia budowanie w sobie świętego człowieczeństwa, a przez to stawanie się osobą zdolną do wiernej realizacji swojego powołania szczegółowego.
The aim of this article is to present the culture of vocations, i.e. such a view of a person that enables a given person to discover and implement the unique vocation that God in His love proposes to that person. In the introductory part of the text, the basic concepts of the pastoral care of vocations will be presented. The main part is the analysis of vocational culture. It is about a culture that helps pupils to understand and accept the gift of humanity received from God and to grow up to holiness, that is, to such a measure of maturity in being a human being that is God's desire and which is a condition for discovering and implementing a specific vocation, that is, the vocation to be a spouse and parent, priest or consecrated person. The last part of this article describes such a lifestyle of the pupils in relation to the body, human sexuality, sexuality, moral, spiritual, religious and social spheres, which makes it possible to build a holy humanity in oneself, and thus become someone capable of faithfully fulfilling one's particular vocation.

Autor stawia pytanie o ewangeliczny obraz Maryi jako uczennicy własnego Syna, Jezusa Chrystusa. W tym celu najpierw wyjaśnia znaczenie określenia „uczeń” w Nowym Testamencie i bada, czym charakteryzuje się uczeń Jezusa. Następnie opisuje moment powołania Maryi w scenie zwiastowania (por. Łk 1,26-38) oraz Jej relację zażyłości ze słowem Bożym (por. Łk 2,19.51). Analiza tych fragmentów prowadzi do odkrycia postaci Maryi jako uczennicy Chrystusa. Świadczą o tym przede wszystkim Jej powołanie i wybór oraz relacja zjednoczenia ze słowem Bożym. W podsumowaniu autor podaje kilka praktycznych wniosków, w czym wyraża się wzór Maryi jako uczennicy dla wierzących.
The author asks a question about the evangelical image of Mary as a disciple of her own Son, Jesus Christ. With this end in view, he first explains the meaning of the term „disciple” in the New Testament and analyses the characteristics of a disciple of Jesus. Then he describes the moment of calling Mary in the scene of the Annunciation (Luke 1:26-38) and her relationship of intimacy with the word of God (Luke 2:19,51). An analysis of these passages leads to the discovery of the figure of Mary as a disciple of Christ. This is evidenced above all by her vocation and choice, and the relationship of union with the word of God. In the conclusion, the author gives some practical applications, which expresses the model of Mary as a disciple for believers.

Postać kapłana i jego posługa są zawsze wezwane do „przedefiniowania się”, przekształcenia i niejako „nawrócenia”, zgodnie z duchowym i teologicznym rozwojem Kościoła, uwzględniając znaki czasu obecne w konkretnym życiu Ludu Bożego. Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą uchwycenia najważniejszych cech kapłana podkreślanych przez papieża Franciszka, które wydają się istotne w nowej erze intensywnych przemian.
Pope Francis has spoken many times about the priesthood and his vision of the priest in the new millennium. The essence of the priesthood does not change, but the style, the manner of holding office and the methods of conduct must change according to the new circumstances of life. The figure of the priest and his ministry are always called to "redefine themselves", to be transformed and in some way "converted", according to the spiritual and theological development of the Church, and taking into account the signs of the times present in the concrete life of the People of God. This article is an attempt to capture the most important features of the priest emphasized by Pope Francis, which seem important in the new era of intense changes.

Opis:
Świętość stanowi cel życia chrześcijańskiego. Jednym z przykładów świętości osób konsekrowanych jest postać czcigodnego sługi Bożego ks. Alojzego Sebastiana (Aloísio Sebastião) Boeinga SCJ. Celem artykułu jest ukazanie wzrostu duchowego tego kandydata na ołtarze, jego oddania w służbie ludowi Bożemu oraz inspiracji duchowych, jakie czerpał z duchowości Najświętszego Serca Jezusowego oraz pobożności maryjnej.
Holiness is the goal of the Christian life. One of the examples of the holiness of consecrated persons is the figure of the venerable Servant of God, Fr. Aloysius Sebastian (Aloísio Sebastião) Boeing SCJ. The aim of the article is to show the spiritual growth of this candidate for the altar, his dedication to serving God’s people and the spiritual inspirations he drew from the spirituality of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Marian piety.

Z okazji 150. rocznicy święceń prezbiteratu o. Leona Dehona (1843-1925), artykuł podkreśla istotne punkty roli kapłaństwa w piśmiennictwie Dehona i jego charyzmatycznej realizacji w Zgromadzeniu, które założył. Określenie tego pojęcia przez poddanie go krytyce teologicznej uwidacznia pewne ograniczenia i rodzi pytanie, czy język kapłański używany przez Dehona odnosi się do wyjątkowej kontemplacji pełni misterium Jezusa Chrystusa, w której jako centralne ukazane jest wspólne kapłaństwo wiernych. Druga część artykułu analizuje konsekwencje dla tożsamości sercańskiej i przedstawia koncepcję „sercanina-kapłana” jako określenie, które najlepiej odzwierciedla to, co „proces charyzmatyczny” oferuje dzisiaj jako jedność powołania, tożsamości i przynależności.
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the priestly ordination of Fr. León Dehon (1843-1925), this article highlights the relevant points of the role that the priesthood has in the written work of Dehon and in its charismatic fulfillment in the Congregation he founded. Determining the concept by subjecting it to theological criticism makes the limits of this approach evident, and raises the question whether the priestly language used by Dehon refers to a unique contemplation of the total mystery of Jesus Christ in which the common priesthood of the faithful is indicated as central. The second part examines the consequences for Dehonian identity and presents the concept of „Dehonian-priest” as the expression that best reflects what the „charismatic process” offers today as a unity of vocation, identity and belonging.

Współcześnie szybko rozwija się technika, informatyka i medycyna. Z tych osiągnięć ludzkość może być dumna! Jednak cała humanistyka pogrążyła się w głębokim kryzysie, tak że mówi się o kryzysie filozofii, teologii, etyki i literatury. Rodzi to z kolei kryzys powołań, który w Polsce i Europie jest sprawą powszechnie znaną. Zamykane są seminaria duchowne i klasztory, a małżeństwa często rozpadają się. Autor artykułu stawia tezę – którą następnie rozwija i uzasadnia w dalszej części publikacji – że kryzys ten związany jest również z brakiem kardynalnej cnoty męstwa. Jej przejawem jest odwaga, która jest potrzebna do tego, aby wybrać powołanie, a następnie realizować je pomimo pojawiających się trudności. Obszernie omawiane jest powołanie do życia kapłańskiego, zakonnego, małżeńskiego i samotnego, które poświęcone jest Bogu i ludziom.
Today, technology, computer science and medicine are developing rapidly. Humanity can be proud of these achievements! However, the entire humanities have plunged into a deep crisis, so much so that there is talk of a crisis of philosophy, theology, ethics and literature. This, in turn, gives rise to a crisis of vocations, which is a well-known cause in Poland and Europe. Seminaries and monasteries are closing, and marriages often break up. The author of the article puts forward a thesis - which he then develops and justifies in the further part of the publication - that this crisis is also related to the lack of the cardinal virtue of fortitude. Its manifestation is the courage that is needed to choose a vocation and then pursue it despite the difficulties that arise. The vocation to the priestly, religious, married and single life, which is dedicated to God and people, is extensively discussed.
