„kępa redłowska” natural reserve - Opis:
- Environmental capacity and visitation indices were calculated for "Kępa Redłowska" nature reserve. Undergrowth load limit index was used to assess ecological consequences of recreational activities onto plant environment and its safety limits which, when surpassed, may lead to degradation of recreational plant resources. Determination of a real number of people visiting and staying within the observed test areas was the following step in the study. Registration of visitor number entering and leaving test areas was held during a day off work for 12 hours under the most favourable conditions for summer recreation. Measurements registered at every control point exceeded environmental capacity several times. There are no other means than ecological education to reduce environmental impact and limit the pressure of people onto "Kępa Redłowska" reserve landscape. Since this is a legally protected environment no architectural projects can be planned in the area.
