    Precedent texts of biblical origin are characterized by high activity in the contemporary press discourse. Due to the continuous demand for exploration of the principles of their functioning, the study of these texts will always have the up-to date character. Precedent texts are essential in the context of their relationship with human personality, especially in the cognitive and emotional area. This type of texts, because of their phenomenal character, became a widely used means in the titles of articles in numerous newspapers and magazines. They create a particular type of expression, which should be present in the text of the press. The use of precedent texts in discourse is an indicator of the level of development of the linguistic personality.

    Investigated core of historic legal texts represents a kind of source of knowledge and culture of a nation in other words it is a materialization of peoples thoughts and allows to separate dominating semantic constant of a specific society. Informative unit, in other words a legal text resulted from human society evolution as an answer to experience of a numerous generations and appeared to be to some extend a projection of a man fate. It is considered that legal texts can be perceived as a summary of a story about form of human life in society which represents ever lasting subject of research targets and inexhaustible source reinforcing and enriching values resulting from achievements of the past generations.

    Opis:
    The give article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of intertexual relations and the specificity of their functioning in the publicistic text by Andrey Bitov. Intertextuality is a basic category of text in postmodernism where the ways of including fragments from other texts, culture realia, historical event are determined by author’s strategy. Any text often appears as a response to already existing works, as a feedback to it in the dialogue between the texts, includes and transforms a ”new word” acquiring at that semantic multiplicity. Intertextual elements allow not only to identify the author’s idiostyle, but also to study the processes of cross-level relations themselves, to reveal mental units and precedent texts existing in linguistic cognition and objectivized in the language.

    The article deals with the description of precedential names as a special subsystem of literary onomastic space which represents the personal worldview by V. Astafjev. The socio- and cultural spheres of the precedential phenomenon revealed in V. Astafjev’s creative work are presented. The individual intention in objectification and understanding of the given reality is determined as well as the ways they can be reflected in a literary text.

    The article describes the possibilities of an essay in the teaching Ukrainian to foreign students of humanities. The author outlines the specifics of the genre, emphasizing the subjective interpretation of the topic as the essential characteristic, the main genre law of the essay. It is described the development of Ukrainian essay prose. It is emphasized the dependence of the genre on the political climate in society. An essay develops where there is an opportunity to freely express their own point of view, demonstrating the independence of thinking. The author substantiates the importance of using essays in the teaching of foreign students in the humanities. This enriches the knowledge of students in the chosen specialty and promotes the development of critical thinking and the complex feeling the text, which is the basis of professional competence in humanities. The author considers the essay in the form of a column to be optimal (in terms of volume and style) for effective reading in a foreign audience. The effectiveness of reading and discussing a particular text can only be guaranteed if it is selected, taking into account a number of objective and subjective factors (level of language proficiency, students’ professional and personal interests, their nationality, psychological microclimate in the group) and the use of appropriate methods of work: reading with comments, method of expression of thoughts, discussion, essay about essay. These forms of work are demonstrated on the example of essays by Y. Andrukhovych, S. Zhadan, O. Zabuzhko and others. Reading modern Ukrainian essays is able to improve the communication skills of a foreigner, deepen his professional knowledge, raise interest in the culture of Ukraine and promote the development of personally important features.

    Opis:
    In the fiction and documentary literature of the XX century, a significant place was taken by the image of the hotel, which was due, on the one hand, to history, and on the other – to the properties of this type of space. Wars, revolutions, migrations, as well as the natural tendency of man to travel and adventure made the hotel an important sociocultural phenomenon. This article discusses strategies for depicting temporary residences as a special recreational and entertainment space. The object of the study was the texts of different genres in the collection 33 Hotels, or Hello, Beautiful Life! Particular attention is paid to the organization of various points of view in the book, the nature of the interaction of heroes and hotel spaces, hotels and other spatial objects, as well as to the motives associated with the three functions of hotels – escapic, entertainment and wellness.

    The researchers of pedagogical cooperation between teacher and student often notice that main difficulties arising for teachers during the teaching process are not uncommon related to authoritarian style of communication. It is especially difficult to overcome them when teaching the pronunciation. Creation of humorous situations during classes can become a step toward overcoming of such difficulties. Jokes, anecdotes, merry songs, animated cartoons and other can allow the teacher to communicate with students as with partners equal in rights and to solve given tasks successfully for forming and development of linguoculturological competence and correct Ukrainian pronunciation.
