Opis:
The article concerns the relationship between the contemporary ecological crisis and Christian spirituality according to the Pope’s Francis encyclical Laudato si’. It presents the concept of God as the Creator and at the same time caring Host‑Tutor of the world. Then it is indicated that Pope Francis sees beings created as co‑constructors and co‑inhabitants of this world. The third thematic area concerns depicted in Laudato si’ causes of the current ecological crisis. These data are the basis for the presentation of the positive potential of Christian spirituality, even its necessity to successfully confront the ecological crisis.

Opis:
The family is today, in the second decade of the third millennium, in the media and information age, in the age of the gender ideology, in the age of divisions between the rich North and the poor South, facing many challenges. Especially in the areas of cultural and civilization processes are new challenges, opportunities and threats for the family, for its values, dignity and vocation. The importance and significance of these threats to the family seem to be still under‑represented, not only in the public debate, but also in the awareness of modern families. For this reason, it seems that it is worth asking questions about the cultural determinants of contemporary family life and try to find answers to them. In this article I try to do this in the perspective of the Pope Francis testimony and his concerns about the „little ones” of this world, which belong to millions of families all over the world.

Opis:
The author presents in an analytical way a new apostolic exhortation of Pope Francis Amoris laetitia. Teaching Pope Francis about family and marriage is presented by the author in the context of the entire teaching of the Church. The author, following the trail of Pope Francis, refers in particular to the document of John Paul II about the family in the modern world Familiaris consortio. The author not only presents the theological foundations of the Church’s teaching about the family, but also shows the practical, pastoral contexts of this teaching. The author shows Pope Francis as a prophet of our time, concerned for the good of every family in the world. The final encouragement of Pope Francis addressed to families, which the author ends his article: “Families, let us move forward and let us keep on going is moving and hopeful! […] Let us not lose hope because of our limitations, but let us not give up on the pursuit of the fullness of love and oneness that we have been promised” (AL, 325).

Opis:
The aim of this article is to show pastoral tasks towards the family and marriage resulting from the teaching of the Church in the apostolic exhortation Amoris laetitia. Pope Francis focuses on the four main challenges of the pastoral care of the family: preparation for marriage, accompaniment to spouses, especially in the first years after the marriage, the marriage of survivors and difficulties, and the formation of pastors and secular family pastoral workers. The author of this article seeks to illustrate these pastoral tasks in the context of the entire study of the Church about marriage and the family in the modern world.

Opis:
The text is part of a wider discourse that covers the topic: Immigration to Poland – social, economic and legal implications for social policy and social work. This issue became the subject of interest of the participants of the 3rd Social Work Week organized by the Institute of Social Work of The Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow on 6th April 2017. There are many challenges facing social policy and social work (which is seen mainly as an instrument of social policy.) Poland’s social policy has little chance of coping with immigration problems, since it cannot cope with the problems of emigration. The emigration of Poles, caused by mass unemployment, has become a social issue that could be described as an immigration issue. Unemployment is mainly driven by three factors: lack of work, low wages and exploitation on the labor market. Polish social policy still cannot overcome these factors or even significantly reduce them. Mass immigration will necessitate the integration of refugees and immigrants. However, their integration can only take place when they are earning a living. In Poland, in the absence of work, real integration is not possible. In this context, the appeal of Pope Francis to individual European countries to receive only as many refugees or immigrants as they can integrate into their own society, is significant.
