Tis article deepens the catechetical thinking in Italy for the last two decades,from the publication of the General Directory for catechesis.For analysing the following problem the catechetical view will be presented and it includes mostly the following important documents:The catechesis renewal,Meeting Jesus and The General Directory for catechesis. Te recent reflection is proposed through the revision of the catechetical issues of all the Italian Dioceses during the five National Italian conferences titled, In Jesus Christ,The new humanism. It must be noted that the General Directory for Catechesis has been demonstrated to be a valid instrument for the formation of the catechists and the transfer of evangelical vitality for the Dioceses and the parishes.With this document, there was a rise in the catechetical innitiatives guided mainly by the priests and the laity involved in this sector. During the years 1997- 2017 there was noted a return in the formation of the catechists and the preparation of catechesis.Infront of the new Challenges socio-political catechesis is shown as an important instrument for the Education of faith and for the intercultural and interreligious dialogue.
Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia myśl katechetyczną we Włoszech w ostatnim dwudziestoleciu od pojawienia się Dyrektorium ogólnego o katechizacji. Dla omówienia tematu została przedstawiona panorama katechetyczna zawarta w ważniejszych dokumentach: Odnowa katechezy, Spotykamy Jezusa i oczywiście Dyrektorium Ogólne o katechizacji. Do refleksji dołączono przemyślenia katechetyczne reprezentantów wszystkich diecezji włoskich podczas 5 Krajowej Konferencji zatytułowanej W Jezusie Chrystusie nowy humanizm. DOK okazał się dobrym narzędziem w kształtowaniu katechetów oraz przekazaniu witalności ewangelizacyjnej diecezjom i parafiom. Dzięki temu dokumentowi pojawiło się wiele inicjatyw katechetycznych prowadzonych głównie przez duchowieństwo i zaangażowane osoby świeckie. W omawianym okresie zauważono zwrot w formacji katechetów i kształceniu katechetyków. W obliczu nowych wyzwań społeczno-politycznych katecheza ciągle pozostaje istotnym instrumentem wychowania do wiary oraz dialogu międzykulturowego i międzyreligijnego.

Te author presents current challenges in German religious pedagogy in light of important social and cultural events. Subsequently she describes projects from the field of religious education, taking into account school and R.E. lessons as main places where they are carried out. She also mentions an idea which is an alternative to the previous didactical solutions. Te author points to a parish community as a place with possibilities and meanings for catechesis as well as formulates conclusions allowing greater effectiveness in catechetic actions.
Autorka przedstawia aktualne wyzwania niemieckiej pedagogiki religijnej na tle istotnych wydarzeń społecznych i kulturowych. Następnie opisuje podejmowane projekty z zakresu edukacji religijnej, z uwzględnieniem miejsca ich realizacji jakim jest szkoła i lekcja religii, a także opracowanej koncepcji alternatywnej do dotychczasowych rozwiązań dydaktycznych. Prezentuje również wspólnotę parafialną jako środowisko katechezy, zwracając uwagę na jej szanse i możliwości oraz formułuje wnioski umożliwiające bardziej efektywne działania katechetyczne.

The article shows, in detail, the interrelation which occurs between the parish religious education and school teaching of religion in Poland. The author takes up a reflection 25 years after bringing religion back to schools. Starting from establishments of religious educationdocuments of the Catholic and Polish Church, he points at the complementarity of these two forms of the religious education service of the word. It is also related to the possibility of carrying three functions of religious education out - the teaching, the upbringing and acquainting both in the parish, and at the school. In conclusion, the author formulates conclusions which are a response to the complementarity challenge of the parish catechesis and religious education in Poland. In the special way he stresses out the substantial role of liturgy and its connections with the religious education.

The article covers the scientific reflection upon the catechist participation in realizing the educational and pedagogical tasks by school. The reflection has been based on the instructions included in obligatory school documents. It was noted that in searching for the specification of tasks that catechists face up one should pay attention to the children’s lacks and needs that impede their integral development. In their context, both the content of religious nature transferred by catechists and the motifs of activities that serve the development and growth of a person supported by them seem to be meaningful. Further, one can discuss the characteristic shape of school catechesis supporting integral development of a person which is also called formation. In these processes the functions of catechesis perform an important role. They comprise the function of introducing into mystery, teaching and upbringing. It has been shown that these functions are the value added to the educational processes, first of all, because of the fact that they open person for Transcendence. These advantages of catechesis allow indicating the particular meaning for development of a person present at school catechesis. Thanks to these advantages catechist is able to support pupil in discovering new dimensions of sense of life.
W artykule podjęto naukową refleksję nad udziałem katechety w wypełnianiu przez szkołę edukacyjno-wychowawczych zadań. Refleksję tę oparto na wytycznych zawartych w obowiązujących dokumentach szkolnych. Zauważono, że w poszukiwaniach specyfiki zadań stojących przed katechetą warto zwrócić uwagę na występujące u uczniów deficyty i potrzeby utrudniające ich integralny rozwój. W ich kontekście znaczące wydają się być przekazywane przez katechetę treści natury religijnej oraz wspomagane nimi motywy podejmowania służących rozwojowi i dojrzewaniu osoby działań. Idąc tym tokiem rozumowania można mówić o charakterystycznym rysie katechezy szkolnej, wspierającym integralny rozwój osoby, nazywany też formacją. W procesach tych ważną do spełnienia rolę nadaje się funkcjom katechezy: wtajemniczenia, nauczania i wychowania. Wykazano, że funkcje te stanowią wartość dodaną do procesów edukacyjnych przede wszystkim przez to, że otwierają osobę na Transcendencję. Te walory katechezy pozwalają też wskazać na szczególne znaczenie dla rozwoju osoby obecnego w szkole katechety. Dzięki tym walorom katecheta jest też w stanie wspomagać ucznia w odkrywania nowych wymiarów sensu życia.

The article is an attempt to show the most important initiatives in the Religious Education of the youth undertaken by the Church from ancient times until the end of theXIX century. This reflection gives only a general outline of the topic and points to the most important milestones in Religious Education. The close relationship of Religious Educationof young people to the whole process of the development of catechesis in the Church is explored. The formation of Religious Education is a part of the catechetical Church’s pastoralministry. The author analyzes the education of young people in the following historical epochs, highlighting key events: Christian antiquity, civitas Christiana in the Middle Ages,Renaissance with its humanistic trends, instructions of the Council of Trent, after Trident pastoral initiatives, Enlightenment with religion taught as school-lessons, and finally theattempt to renew youth catechesis in the XIX century. The summary concludes that the attempts at renewal of catechesis in the XIX century opened up a wide-ranging discussionregarding difficult and complicated facets which apply to the youth’s catechesis today.
Artykuł jest próbą ukazania najważniejszych inicjatyw formacji religijnej młodzieży w Kościele począwszy od starożytności aż po koniec XIX wieku. Wszystko zostaje ukazane w ścisłej relacji edukacji religijnej młodych z całym procesem rozwoju katechizacji w Kościele. Autor analizuje wychowanie młodych w następujących epokach i związanych z nimi wydarzeniami: starożytność chrześcijańska, civitas Christiana w średniowieczu, odrodzenie z prądami humanizmu, zalecenia Soboru Trydenckiego, potrydenckie inicjatywy duszpasterskie, oświecenie ze szkolną lekcją religii i próby odnowy katechezy młodzieżowej w XIX wieku. Na koniec stwierdza się, że przedstawione próby odnowykatechezy młodzieży w XIX wieku wprowadzają w szeroką dyskusję nad sytuacją katechezy młodzieżowej dzisiaj.

In the article, the author discusses different concepts of media education. Reductionistic approaches which restrain media education are depicted as well as more complementary approaches. Various spins of media competences and attitudes towards media being understood as a goal of media education are also dealt with in the text. Further, the author analyses selected religious education textbooks from middle school. The aim of the analysis is looking for correlation with media education and references to the very media. Textbooks, teachers’ guides, workbooks and worksheets were analysed within six different courses. The conclusions of the analysis can be found at the end of the article.
W artykule następuje omówienie różnych koncepcji edukacji medialnej. Ukazane zostały podejścia redukcjonistyczne, ograniczające edukację medialną, jak i podejścia bardziej komplementarne. Omówiono także różne ujęcia kompetencji medialnych oraz postaw wobec mediów rozumianych jako cel edukacji medialnej. W dalszej części artykułu analizie podlegają wybrane podręczniki do nauki religii w szkole gimnazjalnej. Celem analizy jest znalezienie korelacji z edukacją medialną oraz odniesień do samych mediów. W każdej z sześciu badanych serii analizowano podręczniki ucznia, poradniki metodyczne, zeszyty ćwiczeń i karty pracy. W zakończeniu zamieszczono wnioski płynące z przeprowadzonej pracy.

Tis article presents the degree of correlation between religious education and mathematics and natural sciences based on Te Core Curriculum for the Catholic Church Catechesis in Poland. A necessity to utilize the recommended correlation has been demonstrated in order to facilitate comprehensive development and a better understanding of the surrounding reality in recipients of the catechesis. While applying the correlation between specific subjects one should remember to adhere to autonomy of sciences, autonomy of objectives and tasks for each subject, and autonomy of content prioritization. To overcome difficulties the catechists could face, effort should be put forward to increase their competency. It can be achieved by including elements of mathematics and natural sciences in educating future catechists, ad through ongoing formation in individual dioceses. Tis would allow utilization of the wealth of knowledge developed by individual catechetical departments.
W artykule przedstawiono zakres korelacji szkolnego nauczania religii z przedmiotami matematyczno-przyrodniczymi w oparciu o nową Podstawę Programową Katechezy Kościoła Katolickiego w Polsce. Wykazano potrzebę stosowania w praktyce zalecanej korelacji, by pomóc adresatowi katechezy we wszechstronnym rozwoju i lepszym rozumieniu otaczającej rzeczywistości. Stosując korelację między treściami poszczególnych przedmiotów należy przestrzegać zasady autonomii nauk, autonomii celów i zadań poszczególnych przedmiotów oraz autonomii doboru uszeregowania treści. Aby przezwyciężyć trudności jakie mogą czekać na katechetów należy dążyć do zwiększenia ich kompetencji. Można to osiągnąć poprzez wdrażanie tematów z zakresu przedmiotów matematyczno-przyrodniczych do kształcenia katechetów, którzy w przyszłości będą pełnić posługę oraz poprzez formację permanentną, odbywającą się w poszczególnych diecezjach. Pozwoli to wykorzystać bogactwo wypracowane przez poszczególne wydziały katechetyczne.

Long tradition of teaching religious education in schools paired with a desire to include it in the school system as well as in context of Church’s policy were among the reasons behind creation of Austrian Directory for Catechesis, issued before General Directory for Catechesis itself. First such document was written in 1971, next in 1982. Both documents express local Church’s concern for the right direction of catechesis in parishes, families and school education. Tis article presents and analyses two other important documents: Österreichisches Katechetisches Direktorium für Kinder- und Jugendarbeit (Austrian Directory for Catechesis) from 1981 r. and Verkündigung und neue Evangelisierung in der Welt von heute (Annunciation and new evangelisation in modern world) issued by Bishops of the Episcopal Conference of Austria in 2012.
Długa i bogata tradycja obecności lekcji religii w szkole oraz dążenie do wskazania katechezie szkolnej jej należytego miejsca w systemie oświatowym, a także w działalności Kościoła, były jednymi z powodów, dla których Austria, jako jeden z nielicznych krajów, może pochwalić się własnym dyrektorium katechetycznym, wydanym jeszcze przed Dyrektorium ogólnym o katechizacji. Pierwszy taki dokument został wydany już w 1971 r., następny w 1981. Dokumenty te są wyrazem troski Kościoła lokalnego o właściwy kształt działalności katechetycznej, zarówno tej prowadzonej we wspólnotach parafialnych, rodzinach, jak i podczas szkolnej lekcji religii. Niniejszy artykuł jest prezentacją i analizą dwóch ważnych dokumentów: Österreichisches Katechetisches Direktorium für Kinder und Jugendarbeit (Austriackie dyrektorium katechetyczne) z 1981 r. oraz Verkündigung und neue Evangelisierung in der Welt von heute (Przepowiadanie i nowa ewangelizacja we współczesnym świecie) wydanego przez Konferencję Episkopatu Austrii w 2012 r.

Article is an attempt of synthetical view on major ideas presented in German documents of last quarter of the century. Since Conference for the Clergy issued General Directory for Catechesis I 1997, there has not been national Directory for Catechesis that would tackle specifics of religious education and set directions for modern catechesis. German bishops oſten commented on religious education and connected issues. Most valid views were presented in four documents: 1. Zeit zur Aussaat. Missionarisch Kirche sein (Sowing time. Being missionary church.) 2000 ; 2. Erwachsenentaufe als pastorale Chance. Impulse zur Gestaltung des Katechumenates (Adult baptism, as ministrative chance. Impulses for forming catechumen ) 2001 ; 3. Katechese in veränderter Zeit (Catechesis changing in time) 2004 ; 4. Der Religionsunterricht vor neuen Herausforderungen( Religious education lessons and new challanges)2005.Above mentioned documents can function as a quasi ‘ German Directory for catechesis’.
Artykuł jest próbą syntetycznego przedstawienia zasadniczych idei, które zostały wyrażone w niemieckich dokumentach katechetycznych ostatniego ćwierćwiecza. Po opublikowaniu w 1997 r. przez Kongregację ds. Duchowieństwa Dyrektorium ogólnego o katechizacji w Niemczech nie pojawiło się narodowe dyrektorium katechetyczne, które uwzględniałoby specyfikę wychowania religijnego w tym kraju i wskazywało zasadnicze kierunki współczesnej katechezy. Niemieccy biskupi podejmowali jednak wielokrotnie zagadnienia związane z wychowaniem religijnym. Wśród tych wypowiedzi na szczególną uwagę zasługują cztery dokumenty: 1. Zeit zur Aussaat. Missionarisch Kirche sein (Czas na siew. Być Kościołem misyjnym) z 2000 r.; 2. Erwachsenentaufe als pastorale Chance. Impulse zur Gestaltung des Katechumenates (Chrzest dorosłych, jako szansa duszpasterska. Impulsy dla ukształtowania katechumenatu) z 2001 r.; 3. Katechese in veränderter Zeit (Katecheza w zmieniającym się czasie) z 2004 r.; 4. Der Religionsunterricht vor neuen Herausforderungen (Lekcja religii wobec nowych wyzwań) z 2005 r. Przeanalizowane w artykule dokumenty pełnią rolę swoiście ujętego „niemieckiego dyrektorium katechetycznego”.

It is likely that many catechists were faced with students’ annoyance, when giving homework. Such situations oſten encourage reflection on interesting homework material so it would rise positive emotions among students and make them involved and diligent. Usage of new technologies and digital sources can prove to be a solution, which makes homework interactive, more up to date and interesting for young people. Tis article outlines basic didactical assumptions regarding homework as one of the elements of measuring effectiveness of educational process, as well as goals in light of religious education. Tis analysis enumerates existing types of educational tasks and promotes the possibility of using new technologies and digital tools.
W niniejszym opracowaniu przedstawiono podstawowe założenia dydaktyczne w odniesieniu do zadań domowych, jako jednego z istotnych elementów pomiaru wyników kształcenia, a także cele stawiane temu zadaniu edukacyjnemu w nauczaniu religii. Ukazano możliwość zastosowania nowych technologii jako jednej z form ożywienia i uatrakcyjnienia zadań domowych z religii. Powyższa analiza wskazań i zadań dydaktycznych pozwala określić funkcjonujące w praktyce edukacyjnej formy i rodzaje zadań dydaktycznych, a także możliwość zastosowania niektórych nowych technologii i narzędzi cyfrowych w omawianym obszarze.

Autorka przedstawia aktualne wyzwania niemieckiej pedagogiki religijnej na tle istotnych wydarzeń społecznych i kulturowych. In this article many crucial guidelines regarding catechisation that were taken from General Directory for Catechesis were analyzed and compared to statutes of Te Archidiocese Synod of Warmia. Tis text mentions problems with the first process of transmitting of the gospel and initial catechesis, forms of regular catechesis as well as relations between catechesis and religious education in schools. It also rises issues such as: adjusting catechesis to age groups, disabled peoples’ needs and catechists’ formation. Finally, there are conclusions and postulates, formed according to a previously conducted research.
Analizie poddano wiele istotnych zaleceń dotyczących katechizacji, które formułuje Dyrektorium Ogólne o Katechizacji oraz porównano je ze statutami I(XIV) Synodu Archidiecezji Warmińskiej. W artykule przedstawiono problematykę pierwszego głoszenia Ewangelii i katechezy inicjacyjnej, opisano formy katechezy stałej oraz relację katechezy i szkolnego nauczania religii, zaprezentowano kwestie związane z dostosowaniem katechezy do wieku katechizowanych i wymagań osób niepełnosprawnych, przedstawiono także zalecenia dotyczące formacji do posługi katechetycznej. Wskazano też brak odniesienia do niektórych problemów. Na zakończenie, w oparciu o przeprowadzone badania, sformułowano wnioski i postulaty.

Te article brings up the subject of contemporary interpretation of religious education in Italy. Searching for the definition of the term ‘religious education’ proves complexity of this issue. We can deliberate on wealthy life space created by such services as: teaching religion, catechesis, preaching the Gospel, the faith education. In the further stage, the article presents the view of the Roman Catholic Church in Italy; it analyses the contemporary reflection on academic level and official teaching by Italian bishops. Aſterwards there are directions of the development of thoughts presented, both in a theoretical and practical dimension. Te résumé shows that contemporary concern for religious education parallels to care for families, care for a community contemplating the faith, care for relevant preparation to sacramental Christian initiation as well as care for catechesis of adult people.
Artykuł porusza temat współczesnego ujęcia edukacji religijnej we Włoszech. Poszukiwania definicji terminu „edukacja religijna” wykazują złożoność tego zagadnienia. Można mówić o bogatej przestrzeni życia, którą tworzą takie posługi jak: nauczanie religii, katecheza, ewangelizacja, edukacja wiary. Artykuł podaje zarys obrazu Kościoła Katolickiego we Włoszech; dokonuje analizy współczesnej refleksji na poziomie akademickim i oficjalnego nauczania biskupów włoskich. Pokazane są kierunki rozwoju myśli, zarówno w wymiarze teoretycznym, jak i praktycznym. Współczesna troska o edukację religijną idzie równolegle w kierunku troski o rodzinę, troski o wspólnotę przeżywania wiary, troski o właściwe przygotowanie do sakramentów inicjacji chrześcijańskiej oraz troski o katechezę osób dorosłych.

Autorka niniejszego artykułu odnosi się do szeregu kwestii metodologicznych, które mogą być uznane za kluczowe dla nauczania religii w szkołach w Zjednoczonym Królestwie Wielkiej Brytanii i Irlandii Północnej oraz w Stanach Zjednoczonych Ameryki. Z biegiem lat, uwaga przeniosła się z katechizmu, nauczania doktryny i moralności do wielowymiarowego procesu edukacyjnego, z nauczania jednej religii do multireligijnego ujęcia, z typowego nauczania w grupie klasowej do procesu uczenia się ubogaconego różnorodnymi interakcjami. Ciągłe poszukiwanie rozumienia edukacji religijnej w krajach anglojęzycznych pomaga zobaczyć przed jak trudnym zadaniem znalazło się nauczanie religii w szkole, szczególnie w odniesieniu do kwestii, takich jak: dobór celów, treści, metod, aby religia w szkole mogła wzmocnić swoją wiarygodność.
The author of this article refers to a whole range of methodological aspects, which may be identified as crucial for religious education in schools in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America. Over the years, the attention shifted from the catechism and the teaching of doctrine and morality into a multidimensional educational process, from a monoreligious system into multireligious approach, from a typical classroom setting proper to schools, also for religious instruction, into a learning process with a variety of interactions. The constant search for understanding of religious education in English-speaking countries helps to see the difficult task religious education in schools was facing as regards the problems to be addressed, the choice of aims, of the content, and of the methods in order to guarantee its credibility.
L’autore di questo articolo si riferisce a una serie di questioni metodologiche che possono essere considerati come la chiave per l’insegnamento della religione nelle scuole nel Regno Unito e nell’Irlanda del Nord e negli Stati Uniti. Nel corso degli anni, l’attenzione si spostò da catechismo, ovvero sia l’insegnamento della dottrina e della morale al processo educativo multi dimensionale, dall’insegnare una religione all’insegnare in prospettiva multi religiosa, dal tipico apprendimento in una classe al processo d’apprendimento arricchito da una serie di interazioni. Una costante ricerca di comprensione dell’educazione religiosa nei paesi di lingua inglese aiuta a vedere in quale difficoltà si è trovato l’insegnamento della religione nelle scuole, soprattutto in relazione a questioni come la scelta degli obiettivi, contenuti, metodi perché la religione in scuola potesse rafforzare la sua credibilità.
