Te present paper, aſter recalling some catechetical experiences related to the preparation for the VI World Youth Day in Częstochowa in 1991, centres around the possibility of taking advantage of the period of preparation for the World Youth Days, and especially for the upcoming meeting in Cracow in 2016, for the purpose of biblical catechesis directed to the young people. Te article quotes the themes of the World Youth Days 1986-2013 taken from the Bible and indicates the possible groups of topics suggested by these themes. A separate paragraph presents themes for the World Youth Days 2014-2016 due to their mutual topic concerning the Beatitudes. Next the biblical content of the catechesis intended for young people is dealt with. Te paper is concluded with some catechetical propositions related to the biblical catechesis in the context of the preparation for the XXXI World Youth Day in Cracow in the year 2016.

The religious education which prepares for Confirmation should be incessantly renewed. It results from the unprecedented pace of civilizational changes, on which the youth are exposed. They need reinforcement which the Sacrament of Confirmation brings. It alsoconstitutes the unusual chance in the process of faith of the young man. Seeking the optimal model of the religious education for Confirmation, and more widely a youth chaplaincy, is an expression of care of the young man. Using mutual experience and learning from each other can bring new and valuable inspiration. One can see it on the example of compared organizational elements of the religious education which prepares for Confirmation in Poland and in Germany. Without their proper forming even the best selected content and methods of the transmission will not be able to bring full fruits.

A novelty to the evangelization is a realization of a need to search for new ways to reach all people with the good news. Neo-evangelical task of catechesis is firstly to ,reveal’ God and His Kingdom but also take responsibility for a man. People still expect effective catechesis that will introduce gospel – the greatest asset into their lives. Catechesis’s main role is to preach and gospel, so everyone can meet Christ and become united. Tere is still need to continue evangelization as catechesis does: preach, form, initiate into evangelical proclamation with all power.
Nowość ewangelizacji to przede wszystkim odnowiona świadomość obowiązku poszukiwania nowych dróg, aby dotrzeć z Dobrą Nowiną do wszystkich ludzi. Nowoewangelizacyjne zadanie katechezy na pierwszym miejscu musi, „objawiać” Boga i Jego Królestwo, ale także podejmować na różne sposoby swoją odpowiedzialność za człowieka. Katechizowani wciąż oczekują skutecznej katechezy, która wprowadzi w ich życie zaczyn najwyższych wartości – Ewangelię. Głównym zadaniem katechezy jest głosić Ewangelię, aby wszyscy poznali Chrystusa i mogli się z Nim spotkać i zjednoczyć. Nadal trzeba dokonywać dzieła ewangelizacji na sposób katechetyczny: nauczanie, wychowanie, wtajemniczenie z podkreśleniem głoszenia orędzia ewangelicznego całą mocą.

In this meaning directory talks about new adressees of catechesis, and describes what does this “new” relies.
Wśród wielu ważnych kwestii podjętych przez Dyrektorium ogólne o katechizacji, znalazła się i ta, dotycząca adresatów katechezy. Nie sposób skutecznie katechizować bez namysłu nad adresatami i ich specyfiką. Dyrektorium podkreśla, że niezmiennie adresatem katechezy jest każdy człowiek. Jednak człowiek ten jest konkretny, żyjący w danej epoce i kulturze, inaczej mówiąc jest to człowiek zawsze „nowy”. W tym znaczeniu dyrektorium mówi o nowych adresatach katechezy, jednocześnie opisując na czym ta „nowość” polega dzisiaj.

Tis article deepens the catechetical thinking in Italy for the last two decades,from the publication of the General Directory for catechesis.For analysing the following problem the catechetical view will be presented and it includes mostly the following important documents:The catechesis renewal,Meeting Jesus and The General Directory for catechesis. Te recent reflection is proposed through the revision of the catechetical issues of all the Italian Dioceses during the five National Italian conferences titled, In Jesus Christ,The new humanism. It must be noted that the General Directory for Catechesis has been demonstrated to be a valid instrument for the formation of the catechists and the transfer of evangelical vitality for the Dioceses and the parishes.With this document, there was a rise in the catechetical innitiatives guided mainly by the priests and the laity involved in this sector. During the years 1997- 2017 there was noted a return in the formation of the catechists and the preparation of catechesis.Infront of the new Challenges socio-political catechesis is shown as an important instrument for the Education of faith and for the intercultural and interreligious dialogue.
Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia myśl katechetyczną we Włoszech w ostatnim dwudziestoleciu od pojawienia się Dyrektorium ogólnego o katechizacji. Dla omówienia tematu została przedstawiona panorama katechetyczna zawarta w ważniejszych dokumentach: Odnowa katechezy, Spotykamy Jezusa i oczywiście Dyrektorium Ogólne o katechizacji. Do refleksji dołączono przemyślenia katechetyczne reprezentantów wszystkich diecezji włoskich podczas 5 Krajowej Konferencji zatytułowanej W Jezusie Chrystusie nowy humanizm. DOK okazał się dobrym narzędziem w kształtowaniu katechetów oraz przekazaniu witalności ewangelizacyjnej diecezjom i parafiom. Dzięki temu dokumentowi pojawiło się wiele inicjatyw katechetycznych prowadzonych głównie przez duchowieństwo i zaangażowane osoby świeckie. W omawianym okresie zauważono zwrot w formacji katechetów i kształceniu katechetyków. W obliczu nowych wyzwań społeczno-politycznych katecheza ciągle pozostaje istotnym instrumentem wychowania do wiary oraz dialogu międzykulturowego i międzyreligijnego.

The article shows, in detail, the interrelation which occurs between the parish religious education and school teaching of religion in Poland. The author takes up a reflection 25 years after bringing religion back to schools. Starting from establishments of religious educationdocuments of the Catholic and Polish Church, he points at the complementarity of these two forms of the religious education service of the word. It is also related to the possibility of carrying three functions of religious education out - the teaching, the upbringing and acquainting both in the parish, and at the school. In conclusion, the author formulates conclusions which are a response to the complementarity challenge of the parish catechesis and religious education in Poland. In the special way he stresses out the substantial role of liturgy and its connections with the religious education.

Te article introduces the problem of teaching religion within the families that start homeschooling. Aſter a brief presentation of homeschooling and its legal basis, the author analyses the communicate of Te Catholic Upbringing Board, that contains regulations for teaching R.E. in extracurricular education. In addition she presents the results of a survey conducted among the parents of the children taught at home. Moreover, she forms the conclusions and recommendations for practical catechesis, much needed in a view of systematic increase in interest in homeschooling.
Artykuł przedstawia problematykę nauczania religii w rodzinach podejmujących nauczanie domowe dzieci. Po krótkim zaprezentowaniu zjawiska edukacji domowej i jej podstaw prawnych, autorka analizuje komunikat Komisji Wychowania Katolickiego regulujący kwestię nauczania religii w edukacji pozaszkolnej. Prezentuje także wyniki ankiety nt. formacji religijnej dzieci przeprowadzonej wśród rodziców realizujących nauczanie domowe, a także formułuje wnioski niezbędne dla praktyki katechetycznej, wobec wzrastającego zainteresowania rodzin edukacją domową.

The author of this article tries to explore the course of the formation in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal movement and check whether it meets the requirements established for catechesis. Catechetical nature of the movement will be verified through the lens of six tasks of catechesis resulting from The National Directory for Catechesis. Right aſter reminding of these tasks, the author presents a general situation of Catholic Charismatic Renewal and its place in the life of the Church in Poland. Further, the author discusses the formation conducted in the relevant movement and its basic stages. In the latter part, the author analyses the content of catecheses and expected catechetical goals both in the light of the literature on the subject and in the context of guidelines included in the documents of the Catholic Church. Finally, conclusions are drawn and they are crucial whether in terms of catechesis and catechetics or people responsible for the formation in Catholic Charismatic Renewal.
W artykule została podjęta próba zbadania przebiegu formacji w ruchu Odnowa w Duchu Świętym oraz sprawdzenie, czy spełnia ona wymogi stawiane katechezie. Katechetyczny charakter ruchu zostanie zweryfikowany przez pryzmat sześciu zadań katechezy wynikających z Dyrektorium ogólnego o katechizacji. Tuż po przypomnieniu tych zadań, autorka przedstawia ogólną sytuację Odnowy w Duchu Świętym oraz jej miejsce w życiu Kościoła w Polsce. Następnie omawia formację prowadzoną w omawianym ruchu i jej zasadnicze etapy. W dalszej części analizie poddana jest treść katechez i spodziewane cele katechetyczne, zarówno w świetle literatury przedmiotu, jak i w kontekście wytycznych zawartych w dokumentach Kościoła Katolickiego. Na zakończenie zostają sformułowane wnioski, istotne zarówno z punktu widzenia katechezy i katechetyki, jak i osób odpowiedzialnych za formację w Odnowie w Duchu Świętym.

Moral education is one of the tasks of catechesis (cf. General Directory for Catechesis, No. 85-86). Te aim of this article is to analyze the importance of illustrations in moral upbringing of children in early school age. Te study is based on textbooks for religious instruction for pupils in grades I, II and III of primary school in Poland. Two series of handbooks have been examined: 1) issued by the publishing house “Wydawnictwo sw. Stanislawa” in Krakow and 2) issued by WAM publishing house in Krakow. Firstly, the importance of illustrations in school textbooks has been recalled, then all the images under consideration were listed and described in their content and adequacy for the moral education of children in early school age. Tis was done for the two mentioned series of catechisms. Te further analysis took place against the background of teaching methodology as well as the curriculum for catechesis. It shows that two series of catechisms vary significantly in terms of place and meaning attributed to the illustrations. In the textbooks published by “Wydawnictwo sw. Stanislawa” the iconic content dominates the text and is the starting point for the implementation of the lesson topic. Te textbooks published by WAM contain smaller illustrations are more of text, however the images are complementary to text or provide new information. Further development of textbooks for religious instruction in early childhood education must be based on the principle of primacy of illustration over the text. Images must be flawless in terms of quality, aesthetics and printing.
Wychowanie moralne jest jednym z zadań katechezy (Dyrektorium ogólne o katechizacji, nr 85-86). Celem artykułu jest analiza znaczenia ilustracji w wychowaniu moralnym dzieci w młodszym wieku szkolnym. Materiałem do badań są podręczniki do nauki religii dla uczniów klas I, II i III szkoły podstawowej wydane przez wydawnictwo św. Stanisława w Krakowie oraz wydawnictwo WAM. Artykuł przypomina znaczenie ilustracji w podręcznikach szkolnych, a następnie zawiera tabelaryczne zestawienie i opis ilustracji z tych katechez, które dotyczą formacji moralnej w dwóch wymienionych seriach katechizmów. Analiza odbywa się na tle założeń metodycznych i treści podstawy programowej katechezy. Wynika z niej, że katechizmy różnią się wyraźnie pod względem miejsca i znaczenia, jakie przypisują ilustracjom. W podręcznikach wydawnictwa św. Stanisława warstwa ikoniczna dominuje nad tekstem i jest punktem wyjścia dla realizacji tematu lekcji. W podręcznikach wydawnictwa WAM jest więcej tekstu, a ilustracje są mniejsze, stanowią uzupełnienie tekstu lub podają nowe informacje. Dalszy rozwój podręczników do nauki religii w edukacji wczesnoszkolnej musi opierać się na zasadzie pierwszeństwa ilustracji nad tekstem. Materiał obrazowy musi być bez zarzutu pod względem jakości, pod względem estetycznym i technicznym.

The article covers the scientific reflection upon the catechist participation in realizing the educational and pedagogical tasks by school. The reflection has been based on the instructions included in obligatory school documents. It was noted that in searching for the specification of tasks that catechists face up one should pay attention to the children’s lacks and needs that impede their integral development. In their context, both the content of religious nature transferred by catechists and the motifs of activities that serve the development and growth of a person supported by them seem to be meaningful. Further, one can discuss the characteristic shape of school catechesis supporting integral development of a person which is also called formation. In these processes the functions of catechesis perform an important role. They comprise the function of introducing into mystery, teaching and upbringing. It has been shown that these functions are the value added to the educational processes, first of all, because of the fact that they open person for Transcendence. These advantages of catechesis allow indicating the particular meaning for development of a person present at school catechesis. Thanks to these advantages catechist is able to support pupil in discovering new dimensions of sense of life.
W artykule podjęto naukową refleksję nad udziałem katechety w wypełnianiu przez szkołę edukacyjno-wychowawczych zadań. Refleksję tę oparto na wytycznych zawartych w obowiązujących dokumentach szkolnych. Zauważono, że w poszukiwaniach specyfiki zadań stojących przed katechetą warto zwrócić uwagę na występujące u uczniów deficyty i potrzeby utrudniające ich integralny rozwój. W ich kontekście znaczące wydają się być przekazywane przez katechetę treści natury religijnej oraz wspomagane nimi motywy podejmowania służących rozwojowi i dojrzewaniu osoby działań. Idąc tym tokiem rozumowania można mówić o charakterystycznym rysie katechezy szkolnej, wspierającym integralny rozwój osoby, nazywany też formacją. W procesach tych ważną do spełnienia rolę nadaje się funkcjom katechezy: wtajemniczenia, nauczania i wychowania. Wykazano, że funkcje te stanowią wartość dodaną do procesów edukacyjnych przede wszystkim przez to, że otwierają osobę na Transcendencję. Te walory katechezy pozwalają też wskazać na szczególne znaczenie dla rozwoju osoby obecnego w szkole katechety. Dzięki tym walorom katecheta jest też w stanie wspomagać ucznia w odkrywania nowych wymiarów sensu życia.

The article is an attempt to show the most important assumptions concerning the process of preparation for the sacrament of confirmation. The reflection is based on the assumption that in the document of Polish Bishops’ Conference there are some truths which are necessary to be discovered and put in catechetical practice. These truths determine the whole process of catechesis and make her more fruitful. Aſter forming the question related to efficiency of our catechesis and describing a necessity of pastoral conversion, the author forms the following indications for catechesis: the unity with Christ as the fundament of preparation to confirmation, spiritual nature of all catechetical measures, a great value of candidates meeting in groups, the experience of community and prayer, spiritual retreats for the youth, a necessity of collaboration with parents, controlling of own emotions. At the end of the reflection, the author points out the indications regarding the confirmation which depend on the catechist and his engagement in catechesis. 
Artykuł jest próbą przedstawienia najważniejszych założeń dotyczących procesu przygotowania do sakramentu bierzmowania. Refleksja opiera się na założeniu, że w dokumencie Konferencji Episkopatu Polski znajdują się pewne prawdy, które należy odkryć i umieścić w praktyce katechetycznej. Te prawdy decydują o całym procesie katechezy i czynią ją bardziej owocną. Po sformułowaniu pytania dotyczącego skuteczności naszej katechezy i opisaniu konieczności nawrócenia duszpasterskiego, autor formułuje następujące wskazania dla katechezy: jedność z Chrystusem jako fundament przygotowania do potwierdzenia, duchowy charakter wszystkich środków katechetycznych, wielką wartość spotkania kandydatów w grupach, doświadczenie wspólnoty i modlitwy, rekolekcje duchowe dla młodzieży, konieczność współpracy z rodzicami, kontrolowanie własnych emocji. Pod koniec refleksji autor wskazuje na te kwestie przygotowania do bierzmowania, które zależą od katechety i jego zaangażowania w katechezę.

Te article is an attempt to show the most important questions concerning the relations between General Directory for Catechesis of 1997 and Catechism of the Catholic Church of 1992.Te deep relationship between those two documents is the subject treated with a special attention. Te theme is analyzed in the view of documents’ redactinghistory and the process of renewing of catechesis in second half of XX century. Author describes the following topics: genesis of documents, their complimentary character, the importance of the Catechism for catechesis, its role in transmission of Christian doctrine and in creating local catechisms. Finally the author emphasizes that the Catechism of the Catholic Church presents itself as a synthesis of faith of the whole Church; is the symbol of the unity and purity of faith and should be perceived as the fruit of cooperation of the whole Church. Despite many advantages of Catechism, it is not free of criticism, arising discussions and polemics. Te article is ended with the reflection of the question: is the catechism sufficient to overcome the difficulties of religious formation of man today?
Dyrektorium ogólne o katechizacjii Katechizm Kościoła Katolickiego to dwa niezwykle ważne dokumenty katechezy,które łączą się wzajemnie w swoich treściach i katechetycznych zadaniach. Dokumenty powstały w latach dziewięćdziesiątych ubiegłego wieku, naznaczonych wieloma poważnymi wyzwaniami pod adresem katechezy w drugiej połowie XX wieku. Odzwierciedlają w sobie pojawiające się wówczas problemy, jak i działania Kościoła zmierzające do ich rozwiązania. Artykuł stanowi próbę głębszego spojrzenia na różnorodne relacje, które łączą te dwa dokumenty. Według Autora ich poznanie pozwala głębiej spojrzeć na wizję i dzieło katechezy Kościoła w naszych czasach. Zostały omówione następujące zagadnienia: geneza dokumentów, komplementarność ich treści i funkcji, znaczenie Katechizmu dla katechezy i przekazu depozytu wiary, relacje Katechizmu z katechizmami lokalnymi. Na koniec stawia się pytanie o wystarczalność katechizmu powszechnego czy katechizmów lokalnych dla pokonania współczesnych trudności w katechetycznej posłudze Kościoła.

John Paul II’s meetings with young people were an inspiration of World Youth Day. He wanted to encourage young people to meet God who entered into the history of the man. It was quite fast possible to behold the four fundamental dynamisms into the initiative onwhich present day meetings base. These dynamisms are christocentrism, enthusiasm, the contemplation of the cross and the affirmation of the youth. Thanks to them, World Youth Day does not confine to the one-time action, but it forms a planned activity of religious nature. In addition, it demands solid arrangements. Such a preparation was already taken in Cracow, where the young from the entire world will arrive in 2016. Despite the pastoral and catechetical materials that have been already drawn up, we cannot stand still in efforts for World Youth Day in Poland so that it becomes something more than a religious feast.
Inspiracją Światowych Dni Młodzieży były spotkania Jana Pawła II z młodymi ludźmi. Papież-Polak chciał, by w ten sposób młodzież wychodziła na spotkanie Bogu, który wszedł w dzieje człowieka. Dość szybko w inicjatywie dało się dostrzec cztery zasadnicze dynamizmy, na których do dziś opierają się spotkania. Te dynamizmy to chrystocentryzm, entuzjazm, kontemplacja krzyża i afirmacja młodości. Dzięki nim Światowe Dni Młodzieży nie ograniczają się do jednorazowej akcji, ale stanowią zaplanowaną działalność o charakterze katechetycznym. Domagają się przy tym rzetelnego przygotowania. Takie przygotowanie zostało już podjęte w Krakowie, dokąd przyjedzie młodzież z całego świata w roku 2016. Niezależnie od już opracowanych materiałów duszpasterskich i katechetycznych, nie można ustać w wysiłkach na rzecz Światowych Dni Młodzieży w Polsce, aby stały się one czymś więcej niż tylko festynem religijnym.

Autor zwraca uwagę na dwa kluczowe elementy, bez których katecheza nie istnieje. Są nimi wiara i rozum (fides et ratio). Pierwszy z tych elementów – wiara – dotyczy zarówno katechety, jak i katechizowanych. Również drugi element katechezy – wiedza – jest niezbędny przede wszystkim ze strony katechety, ale nie można przy tym lekceważyć wiedzy katechizowanych. W katechezie wiara i wiedza są nieodłączne i razem stanowią filary, na których opiera się głoszenie nauki Chrystusa. W artykule wyrażone jest przekonanie, iż poprzez wiarę i wiedzę uczestnicy katechetycznej posługi słowa stają się dojrzali w wierze, zmierzając do radosnego spotkania z Jezusem.
The author adopted reflection reminds two basic elements without there is no catechesis. He names them: fides and ratio. The faith of people, in terms of theological involved in catechesis, faith catechist and catechized, should be the starting point for any strictly catechetical reflection. A second essential element is the ratio of catechesis, in the sense – knowledge or science. For catechesis faith and knowledge are two wings on which the human spirit rises to the unity with Christ. Catechist and catechized should be aware of these two pillars of catechesis, they should not oppose itself, but should them make combined. They must be fully aware that thanks fides et ratio they will become mature and joyful people in faith. This catechist and catechized meeting, regardless of the place, leads to a full unity with Jesus Christ.
L’autore richiama l’attenzione su due elementi chiave senza i quali la catechesi non esiste. Si tratta di fede e di ragione (fides et ratio). Il primo di questi elementi – ossia la fede -, è importante sia per catechista che catechizzanti. Anche la seconda componente della catechesi – la ragione, cioè -, è essenziale per il catechista, non si può ignorare, però, lo scibile dei catechizzanti. Nella catechesi la fede e la ragione sono inseparabili e insieme costituiscono i pilastri su cui poggia la predicazione di Cristo. L’articolo ha espresso la convinzione che attraverso la fede e la ragione partecipanti alla catechesi diventano maturi nella fede, tendendo verso un incontro gioioso con Gesù.

Te author depicts genesis of Te Catechetical Directory of the Catholic Church in Poland , which is created in accordance with guidelines from General Directory for Catechesis (1997). Aſter covering the editorial board and works on the document, he presents its structure and main topics. Te article emphasises the specifics of Polish catechistic reality and the reference to it included in DOK. Finally, it notices the role which Polish Directory played in Polish modern day catechesis.
Autor w artykule przedstawia genezę polskiego dyrektorium katechetycznego opracowanego zgodnie ze wskazaniami zawartymi w „Dyrektorium ogólnym o katechizacji” z roku 1997. Po przybliżeniu zespołu autorów dyrektorium i prac redakcyjnych nad dokumentem, omawia jego strukturę i zasadnicze treści. Podkreśla specyfikę rzeczywistości katechetycznej w Polsce i odniesienie do niej założeń zawartych w DOK. Na koniec określa rolę, jaką polskie dyrektorium odegrało we współczesnej polskiej katechezie.
