    Opis:
    Science dealing with the education of the elderly is geragogics, which studies pedagogical determinants and the effects of aging. Scientific reflection of geragogues could lead to the development of effective educational programs targeted to seniors, and to identify priorities for such activities. These are mainly actions maintained psychophysical, intellectual and social seniors activity, help in adapting to the new situation which is old age, as well as assistance in the process of self-improvement and self-knowledge. The process of seniors’ institutionaleducation in the world began in the 70. XX with the creation the first University of the Third Age in France. Currently, such institutions operate in all countries facing process of population aging. In Poland first such institution was established in 1975 in Warsaw. Currently in Poland there are 315 UTA. The main UTA’s goal is to provide conditions for seniors’ active aging, combined with knowledge of processes taking place in their life, as well as creating conditions for deepening their knowledge and maintain social relationships with peers. Realization of these goals are foster by UTA’s activities, taking various forms: from lectures, such as workshops, classes to recreation and tourism. Such diversity has influenced on harmonious development of senior body and soul.

    Opis:
    Polska od lat działa na rzecz realizacji idei lifelong learning, m.in. poprzez uchwalenie dokumentu „Perspektywa uczenia się przez całe życie”. Jedną z kwestii, którą w nim odnotowano, jest znaczenie uczenia się dla utrzymania aktywności seniorów oraz rozwój Uniwersytetów Trzeciego Wieku, jako instytucji edukujących osoby starsze. Wiadomo, że od 32 do 52 procent tej populacji stanowią osoby z ograniczoną sprawnością. Dla tych osób korzystanie z oferty UTW zależy w dużej mierze od uwzględniania ich szczególnych potrzeb wynikających z niepełnosprawności. Artykuł przybliża m.in. wymagania ustawy o zapewnianiu dostępności osobom ze szczególnymi potrzebami oraz standardy dostępności dla polityki spójności 2014-2020. Autorka dokonuje analizy stron internetowych UTW, szukając odpowiedzi na pytanie: jakie oferty kierowane są do osób z niepełnosprawnościami? Z przeprowadzonej analizy wynika, że niepełnosprawni seniorzy są wciąż grupą marginalizowaną. Jednak dokładną odpowiedź na pytanie o dostęp osób z różnymi rodzajami niepełnosprawności do Uniwersytetów Trzeciego Wieku mogłyby dać jedynie badania przeprowadzone na szerszą skalę.
    Poland has been working for years to implement the idea of lifelong learning, including by adopting a document "Lifelong Learning Perspective". One of the issues noted in this document is the importance of learning to keep active seniors. Statistics show that between 32 and 52 percent of this population are people with reduced ability. For them, the use of UTW depends on taking into account their special needs arising from disability. The article shows requirements of the Act on ensuring accessibility for people with special needs and accessibility standards for cohesion policy 2014-2020. The author analyzes the content of UTW websites, seeking answers to the question: are they targeted at people with disabilities? The analysis shows that disabled seniors are still a marginalized group. The exact answer to the question about the access of people with disabilities to UTW could only give a study conducted on a larger scale.
