Opis:: Nowadays the implementation of the ecological education content is particularly significant. It is important to shape a child’s environmental awareness, sense of responsibility, respect and a willingness to work for nearest environmental profit. Teacher’s and parent’s duty is to stimulate a sensitivity and emotional attitude to nature and to introduce child to a world of values. Particularly important are the attitudes of parents towards nature protection, because they have a direct impact on the attitudes of their children. The research compared the ecological awareness and the extent of that awareness among children in third classes in primary schools and their parents. The results in both groups prove that youngsters are more aware, and the older generation’s knowledge and awareness is still not satisfying. Therefore, it can be assumed that what the children have learned is the effect of their teachers and school efforts.
W dzisiejszych czasach realizacja treści ekologicznych jest szczególnie ważna. Istotne jest, aby kształtować w dziecku świadomość ekologiczną, poczucie odpowiedzialności, szacunku oraz gotowość do działań na rzecz najbliższego środowiska. Powinnością nauczycieli, wychowanków oraz rodziców jest pobudzanie wrażliwości, emocjonalnego nastawienia do natury oraz wprowadzenie dziecka w świat wartości. Szczególnie istotne są postawy rodziców wobec ochrony przyrody, bowiem mają one bezpośredni wpływ na postawy ich dzieci. Celem podjętych badań była ocena poziomu wiedzy i świadomości ekologicznej uczniów III klas szkoły podstawowej oraz ich rodziców, a także próba zestawienia uzyskanych danych. Ocena wyników uzyskanych przez obie grupy wskazuje na wyższą wiedzę i świadomość ekologiczną młodszego pokolenia, niższą – pokolenia starszego. Można uznać, że dobry poziom osiągnięć dzieci jest zasługą nauczycieli i szkoły.

Opis:: It seems necessary that the police surroundings should get known about the natural environmental protection which sozology is. During the research that I carried out among the policemen I’ve done the questionnare about information and ecological consciousness of the police. I’ve examined 500 policemen. Just 2 % of the surveyed brought the environmental protection to their mind, 98% wrongly thought just about ecology. This situation forces wider defining teh sozology and presenting its episthemological and methodological aspects. What is more it demands wider participation in police teaching programmes.

Opis:: The aim of the realisation of the material is getting the results of carried on research concerning the fact of finding out to what level contents involving the balanced development during the educational activities was introduced, moreover, what influence of such issues on the creating the right attitudes towards the pro-ecological awareness of young people was. Opis:: W dzisiejszych czasach pedagogiczne aspekty kształtowania świadomości ekologicznej społeczeństwa to temat bardzo istotny w kontekście negatywnych zmian zachodzących w środowisku przyrodniczym i rosnącej wciąż antropopresji. Ale jest to zagadnienie bardzo obszerne, które trzeba rozpatrywać wieloaspektowo, z punktu widzenia wielu dziedzin naukowych – między innymi również pedagogiki, psychologii, socjologii, filozofii – na bazie nauk przyrodniczych. Zawsze w podejmowanych przedsięwzięciach warto uwzględnić, jako priorytetowy wątek, edukację formalną i nieformalną całego społeczeństwa, a nie tylko dzieci i młodzieży, ponieważ to dorośli zarządzają środowiskiem. Należy również pamiętać, że wiedza to nie tylko fakty, zasady i teorie wywodzące się z obserwacji zjawisk i wydarzeń, lecz także umiejętność racjonalnego wykorzystania i interpretacji tych informacji w życiu codziennym. Dlatego, wykorzystując założenia pedagogiki konstruktywistycznej, można wzbogacić ofertę działań służących kształtowaniu świadomości ekologicznej całego społeczeństwa. Artykuł prezentuje wybrane założenia pedagogiki konstruktywistycznej i możliwości wdrażania jej podczas kształtowania prawidłowych postaw wobec przyrody. Ponieważ warto ciągle poszukiwać odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jaki sposób kształtować świadomość ekologiczną, aby stopniowo zmniejszać nastawienie ludzi na „mieć”, a zwiększać na „być”. Docenienie wartości przyrody ma również istotne znaczenie dla urzeczywistnienia idei zrównoważonego rozwoju, która jest jedyną nadzieją na „lepsze jutro”. Obecnie szczególnym wyznacznikiem ochrony środowiska są podejmowane konkretne działania związane z szeroko rozumianą relacją: człowiek – kultura – natura. Współzależności uwarunkowane są jednak czynnikami wpływu kulturowego na środowisko oraz wpływu środowiska na preferowane wartości.
Nowadays, the pedagogical aspects of shaping ecological awareness in society are a very important topic in the context of negative changes taking place in the natural environment, and the constantly growing anthropo-pressure. However, it is a very broad issue that needs to be considered in many ways, from the point of view of many scientific fields, including pedagogy, psychology, sociology, and philosophy, based on the natural sciences. It is always worth considering as a priority, the formal and informal education of the whole society, and not only children and adolescents, because it is adults who manage the environment. It should also be remembered that knowledge is not only facts, principles, and theories, derived from the observation of phenomena and events, but also the ability to rationally use and interpret this information in everyday life. Therefore, using the assumptions of constructivist pedagogy, it is possible to enrich the offer of activities aimed at shaping the ecological awareness of the entire society. The article presents selected assumptions of constructivist pedagogy, and the possibility of implementing it, while shaping correct attitudes towards nature. It is constantly worth looking for an answer to the question of how to shape ecological awareness, in order to gradually reduce people's attitude to “have” and increase the attitude of “to be”. The appreciation of the value of nature is also essential for the realisation of the idea of sustainable development, which is the only hope for a “better tomorrow”. Currently, a specific determinant of environmental protection are specific activities related to the broadly understood relationship of man - culture - nature. However, the interdependencies are conditioned by factors of cultural influence on the environment, and the influence of the environment on the preferred values.

Opis:: Przedmiotem artykułu jest prezentacja badania znajomości najnowszych wydarzeń i trendów dotyczących środowiska naturalnego i jego ochrony, przeprowadzonego wśród studentów pedagogiki jako przyszłych nauczycieli mających podejmować te zagadnienia w działalności edukacyjnej. Badanie wykonano w maju i czerwcu 2020 r., drogą mailową na grupie 140 studentów pedagogiki Akademii Pedagogiki Specjalnej im. Marii Grzegorzewskiej w Warszawie. Celem badania było sprawdzenie zarówno orientacji studentów w powyższych kwestiach, jak i tego, co stanowi dla nich źródło wiedzy. Wyniki badania wskazują na zróżnicowany poziom wiedzy studentów. Na niektóre pytania zamieszczone w kwestionariuszu prawidłowo odpowiedziało 70‒80% uczestników, na inne poniżej 40%, a relatywnie duży odsetek zadeklarował, że nie zna odpowiedzi. Wyniki są jednak niepokojące, jeśli chodzi o szkołę i uczelnię jako źródło wiedzy na temat środowiska i jego ochrony oraz aktualnych wydarzeń i decyzji dotyczących środowiska. Głównym źródłem wiedzy studentów okazały się media społecznościowe, wyprzedziwszy portale informacyjne i telewizję. Tylko w niewielkim odsetku studenci zadeklarowali, że czerpią wiedzę ze szkoły lub uczelni. Wyniki badania wskazują na potrzebę refleksji nad miejscem edukacji ekologicznej w ramach formalnej edukacji w Polsce.
The aim of the article is to present results of a study on the knowledge of pedagogy students about latest events and trends concerning natural environments and its protection. Pedagogy students are future teachers supposed to teach their students about such issues. The study was conducted online in May and June 2020. The research group consisted of 140 pedagogy students of The Maria Grzegorzewska University. The aim of the study was not only to check the level of knowledge of pedagogy students, but also to check what are their sources of information about the environment protection. The level of knowledge appeared to be differentiated. 70-80% of participants answered correctly to some questions in the questionnaire, but there were also questions that only less than 40% of participants answered correctly. The results are rather worrying when it comes to the sources of information. Social media appeared to be the main source of information about environment protection for pedagogy students, more important source than news websites or television. Only few participants declared that they learn about environment protection at school or university. The results of the study provoke to reflection about formal environmental education in Poland.

Opis:: Etyka środowiskowa należy do tych dyscyplin naukowych, w ramach których dokonuje się prób argumentowania ochrony wspólnoty biotycznej oraz budowania poczucia odpowiedzialności i troski za środowisko społeczno- przyrodnicze. Wśród koncepcji etycznych, jakie rozważane są na jej gruncie, ujęcie holistyczne wskazuje na najszerszy obszar zobowiązania moralnego człowieka względem świata przyrody. Za głównego twórcę tego nurtu uważa się amerykańskiego naukowca Aldo Leopolda, który zasłynął w środowisku osób nieobojętnych na sprawy poszanowania i ochrony środowiska, swoimi poglądami i ogromną determinacją. W artykule przedstawiono propozycję wykorzystania argumentów, sformułowanych w oparciu o przekonania Aldo Leopolda, w procesie edukacji środowiskowej, mającej na celu objęcie ochroną wspólnoty biotycznej.
The changing state and quality of the environment is now taken for granted by communities living in many distant parts of the world. It is felt more and more intensely that disadvantageous interference in the natural environment will sooner or later have an impact on the biotic community, including humans themselves. However, the problem has not yet been so clearly accentuated, so as to prevent the effects, which often become irreversible. Environmental ethics is one of the scientific disciplines which has attempted to find proper arguments for the protection of the biotic community, as well as to enhance the feelings of responsibility and care for the socio-natural environment. Among the ethical ideas which are developed in this context, the holistic view presents the broadest scope of human moral responsibility for the natural world. Such an approach is considered to have originated in the writings of the American researcher, Aldo Leopold. His ideas and great determination have become well known to those who were not indifferent to the issues of respect for the environment and environmental protection. The article outlines the possibility to incorporate arguments based on the thought of Aldo Leopold, in the process of environmental education, whose aim is the protection of biotic community.

Opis:: The process of the international identification of global ecological problems, initiated in the 1970s, enlivened the discussion on the character of relations between man and natural environment in the context of many humanistic and social disciplines. It also applies to sociology, whose representatives are frequently unjustly associated with attachment to their own scientific autonomy. The latter should consist in explaning the phenomenon of social life only with the use of social facts treated in separation from the impact of nature. The purpose of this article is an attempt of the deconstruction of genesis, development, and status of environmental sociology in the United States and Poland. In the former, this subdiscipline originated there and reported the greatest growth, whereas in the latter, its accomplishments remain dissipated, despite the fact that in some research areas – for instance in the scope of empirical descriptions of awareness and ecological attitudes of the public – it constitutes a coherent, valuable entirety. At the same time, the task of the author is popularization of history, traditions, and assumptions of environmental sociology, which contribution to the fight with the environmental crisis, although underestimated, is as substantial as the one developed in the scope of eco-philosophy led by environmental ethics, a leading field among humanistic and social studies.
