Opis:: The objective of this article is to examine sources of financing road transport infrastructure in Poland. In the first section, the author compares expenses incurred on the road infrastructure by the Polish government and local-government with other EU member states’ expenses. The second section focuses on legal framework for financing road transport infrastructure. The final section contains an analysis of public expenditures on development of the road network in Poland (it covers 2008–2011 years and is conducted on the basis of public statistics).

Opis:: The article focuses on public expenditures on culture in Poland. It begins with an overview of budgetary and extra-budgetary funding, including state appropriated funds and other public institutions established to support certain culture area, as well as culture institutions. As the aim of the article is to explore the wider aspect of the issue, special attention is given to the expenditures on arts education. Next the author provides an analysis of financing culture in the period 2007–2014, both on central and local level. In final section the Polish public expenditures on culture are compared with European Union corresponding data.

Opis:: The article presents the concept of green budget tagging to estimate the level and structure of green budget expenditures of local government units in Poland. On the basis of the conducted research, it was found that incurring expenditures for environmentally sustainable purposes are also differentiated due to the functions of municipalities. In addition, the amount of green budget expenditures is determined by co-financing from foreign funds. The obtained results form the background to practical application of the concept of green budget tagging for the purposes of, e.g., the implementation of financial policy aimed at achieving climate and sustainable goals by local government units in Poland.
