Opis:
Main goal of this article is to deepen one thesis from encyclical letter Caritas in veritate of His Holiness Benedict XVI: “progress, in its origin and essence, is first and foremost a vocation” (CiV 16). Author have made this in three points: (1) to describe what Christian vocation is, (2) to present sources of person’s vocation to development and (3) to show most important aspects of Christian meaning of human progress.

Opis:
W pierwszej części zarysowano zagadnienie powołania katolików do świętości. Następnie omówiono wezwanie do świętości całych rodzin.
The Catholic Church appeals to the faithful and Christian families to pursue holiness. The present paper seeks the answer to the question whether, and to what extent, the offer of the Scouts of Europe responds to the Catholic families' expectations. The first part outlines the issue of appealing to the members of the Catholic Church to pursue holiness. Then, the same appeal is discussed in the context of whole families. Subsequently, the paper presents the Scouts of Europe as a Catholic association of the faithful, and their statutory proposals and forms are discussed. The content of these documents constitutes a guarantee for Catholic parents that their child, when given under the charge of the Scouts of Europe, will grow in the spirit of the Catholic faith.

Opis:
Today’s world gradually transforms into a “global village”. The prevailing consumerism contributes to the cultural crisis; at the same time there appears a strong need for spirituality (understood in a broad context). Modern man needs a new evangelization. According to Joseph Ratzinger, the apology of Christianity could be based on two main arguments: saints and the art. The apology of saints is made through the testimony of those who experienced the presence of God and who live with Him in everyday life. Apology through the art which contains a theological message is a form of a dialogue between the experience of God’s presence and human feelings. A composer, who meets the criteria of a Biblical creativity artist, can become a Christian apologist as is confirmed by biographies and statements of selected artists.
