The following article treats the necessity of cooperation between Catholic parishes and national missions in Sweden – for the benefit of the immigrants. Some thought has also been given to the possibilities and difficulties arising from the fact that the cross-section of the society constituting the Catholic community in Sweden is multicultural, as well as to the level of awareness of building a difficult unity as a necessary requirement for the transmission of Christian values to the next generation.

Unemployment and emigration were the most important and urgent concerns which beset Poland shortly after its rebirth in 1918. The Catholic Church took action in both of these fields, inspired by the teachings of Popes Leo XIII and Pius XI concerning the so-called “social issue.” These inspirations were aptly interpreted and practically implemented by Antoni Julian Nowowiejski, bishop of Płock, known today as a social activist and reformer. This text analyses the specific activities of the Płock clergy in the interwar period, which were supposed to counteract the negative social consequences of the issues mentioned above.

Opis:
The Catholicism in Sweden with all its rich historical and social structure is also constituted by the influence of the male orders on the spirituality, religiosity and everyday life of Christians in Sweden. These communities could not continue their activities after the Reformation. They returned, however, and came to life slowly and gradually, simultaneously with the advancing religious tolerance. As of today many orders in the Catholic Church are committed to social and pastoral challenges on Swedish soil, both in the catholic communities and in broader social circles. Their extensive past is closely bound with the difficult past of Catholicism in Sweden and the contemporary issues of postmodern society.

As a result of changing the place of living, the eastern Catholic faithful, often settle down on the traditional Latin territories maintaining under the ordinary’s jurisdiction who belongs to a different Church sui iuris. The lack of the pastoral care and the lack of the possibility to use Church’s goods which the life gives cannot be the result of this situation. Therefore both the Code of Canon Law and the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches establish the rules which are to provide the eastern believers the proper care that is implemented in a few ways: by erected the hierarchy itself of eastern Churches on the Latin territories or by appointing the pastors who are to be responsible for the believers of the other rite, establishing the dioceses and the rite’s parishes and appointing the Episcopal vicar.

Media hype about minors sexual abuse by clerics makes an impression as if the Church didn’t react to this problem. That loud and aggressive action of mass media is not true. The above article, which contains an overview of different papal speeches and documents, as well as Roman Curia’s commitment, especially Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith commitment, manifest very active and multifaceted Church’s response to the problem. It is necessary to emphasise the important influence of pope Benedict XVI. Since he was a prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith he endeavoured to conform to rules of penal canon law in a consistent and explicit way. Along with the development of the universal law the particular law came into being. It constitutes a supplement to general legislation and demands recognition from the side of The Holy See. In each situation concerning the crimes against morals committed by clergy, it is essential to face the problem i.e. to show compassion and help to the victims and to explain the whole truth about what had really happened. If a clergyman is guilty of a crime then, in the name of love and truth, it is necessary to apply canonical penalties. The important part of solving a problem is to apply formation rules consistently: a proper recognition of vocation and human formation in an emotional and sexual space. Finally, clergymen have to interpret the universal call to holiness more intensively. Crisis, which touched the Church, is also an opportunity to thorough purification of the Church and to renew commitment to apostolic holiness. Through preaching truth about God and human, and at the same time setting requirements for the worshippers, especially for the clergymen, the Church leads people to holiness and salvation.

The main aim of this article is to show that except the priestly activity the priest should get involved in the social life. We can distinguish two principal forms of the presence of the church in the social life. The first of them is the wide understood teaching in the social sphere, second the concrete activity. The man in the light of the social science of the church is the highest value in the world, and the family is the proper environment of the man’s life and development. So the church realizes his social mission base on the family. The family is the value not only for the individual, but also for the larger community, in this case for the state community. Essential question, which to find oneself in priestly social prophesying is the question of the nation. The nation both through the community and the culture creates the conditions of the man development in all planes of development: - in the plane of the truth /the intellectual development/, - in the plane of the beauty /the spiritual development/, - in the plane of the good /the moral development/, - in the plane of holiness /the religious development. The question, which to also find oneself in the field of the interest of the social science of the church is the question of the character of state, relation the state - the church, as well as the question of the system of the state. The conception of state can’t be indifferent to the church. The problem, therefore such the system, which lets men lives on the proper living standard have to be the centre of the interest of the social science of the church. From the different social questions which are the symptom of the presence of the church in the life we can specify the problems of the human rights and the presence of Christian values in the social life. There are signaled here the most important questions which touch the man who is in the centre of the interest of the church.

The problem raised in this article revolves around the relationship between the activity of contemporary advisers with women’s rights in the early Christianity? The article provides a new perspective on the theory of activity of Polish Catholic family life counsellors. It presents an overview of the history and character of those advisers’ activity as well as the origin of secular women’s rights in the early Christianity (including the reasons for their gradual restriction). The article finishes with conclusions from the conducted research addressed to Catholic advisers dealing with the issues associated with family life in Poland.
Problem podjęty w tej pracy brzmi: jaki jest związek działalności współczesnych doradczyń życia rodzinnego z formowaniem się praw kobiet świeckich we wczesnym chrześcijaństwie? Praca wnosi nowe treści do teoretycznych (historyczno-teologicznych) podstaw działalności katolickich doradczyń życia rodzinnego. Zaprezentowano w niej historię i charakter działalności tych doradczyń oraz formowanie się praw kobiet świeckich we wczesnym chrześcijaństwie (wraz z przyczynami ich stopniowego ograniczania). Tekst kończą wnioski płynące z odkrytej i analizowanej wiedzy dla katolickich doradczyń życia rodzinnego w Polsce.

Od roku 1967 w Berlinie Wschodnim duszpasterstwem Polaków zajmował się salezjanin z inspektorii kolońskiej, ks. Georg Broja pochodzący z Górnego Śląska. W 1987 r. do pracy w stolicy NRD wyznaczono salezjanów z inspektorii pilskiej, którzy duszpasterzowali tam do 2003 r. Dzięki zaangażowaniu studenta, ks. Konstantego Goławskiego z inspektorii warszawskiej, w 1981 r. w Berlinie Zachodnim powstało duszpasterstwo dla katolików mówiących po polsku. 1 stycznia 1997 r. zmieniono nazwę na Polską Misję Katolicką. Od 2003 r. czterech salezjanów polskich utrzymuje się z trzech etatów duszpasterskich przyznanych przez Kurię Berlińską. W niedzielę księża obsługują od 4 do 5 tys. wiernych.
Since 1967, the pastoral care of Poles in East Berlin was taken by a Salesian from the Province of Cologne, Father Georg Broja from the Upper Silesia. As late as in 1987, the Salesians from the Province of Piła were appointed to work in the capital of the German Democratic Republic. They remained there until 2003. In 1981, Father Konstanty Goławski, a student from the Province of Warsaw, initiated in West Berlin pastoral care for Polish-speaking Catholics. On the 1st of January, 1997 its name was changed to the Polish Catholic Mission. Since 2003, four Polish Salesians have maintained themselves by holding three, full-time pastoral positions granted by the Curia of Berlin. On Sundays, the priests attend upon 4-5 thousand of people.

Odrodzona w 1918 r. II Rzeczpospolita powróciła na część terytorium utraconego na Wschodzie, podejmując trudy zagospodarowania wyniszczonej wojnami ziemi. Jej obraz znalazł odbicie w lokalnej prasie i wspomnieniach żyjących na tych terenach Polonusów. Zapisały go dziesiątki tytułów czasopiśmienniczych wydawanych przede wszystkim przez ówczesny świat katolicki. Wymienione w opracowaniu tytuły wydawnictw wskazują na życiowe przestrzenie mieszkańców tamtych regionów penetrowane przez tę prasę, są niejako odpowiednikami zaledwie nazw starych polskich rezydencji na Wschodzie. Aby poznać ich treści, trzeba podjąć wnikliwą lekturę, by odkryć i przybliżyć opisane tam i wciąż mało nam znane światy, które – antypolskie i antykatolickie siły niszczyły świadomie i systematycznie. To niełatwe zadanie odcyfrowania Kresów z wciąż, po dziś dzień odkrywanej ich czasopiśmiennictwu katolickiemu Kresów Wschodnich II Rzeczypospolitej.
Reborn in 1918, the Second Polish Republic returned to the part of the territory lost in the East to undertake the hardships of developing the war-ravaged land. Its history was reflected in the local press and the memories of the “Polonuses” living in these areas. It was recorded in dozens of magazine titles issued mainly by the contemporary Catholic world. The titles mentioned in the present work indicate the life areas of people inhabiting those regions, which were penetrated by the press and which are, in a sense, equivalent only to the names of Polish old mansions in the East. Getting acquainted with their content requires meticulous study which would allow to discover and bring closer the worlds described there and still little known to us and which were deliberately and systematically destroyed by anti-Polish and anti-Catholic forces. The uneasy task of deciphering the Borderlands from its publishing legacy which is still, to this day, being rediscovered, will constitute the content of the second part of the study devoted to Catholic periodicals in Eastern Borderlands of the Second Polish Republic.

The goal of this article is recollection of traditional forms of penance often called; Three Good Deeds: fasting, almsgiving and prayer. Looking at the main object of these reflections from the point of view of social moral theology allows one to see how influential are these three good deeds on one’s life, in the fulfillment of oneself, in the relationship with God as well as in the relationship with others. Apart from the above and through the use of Biblical tradition, teaching of the Fathers and the rich teaching of the Church, it also reflects on their source of vitality from antiquity to modern times. The final part of the research focuses on threats in practicing these three good deeds, which includes: secularism, lost sense of sin, consumerism, and permissivism. It is worth mentioning that this refection gains an additional value during this “year of faith,” especially if interpreted in the context of living faith. Often due to the lack of faith fasting, almsgiving and prayer are forgotten and misunderstood.

Among the many threads of social life in Sweden there is one that not so commonly known, almost imperceptible current in the community of the Catholic Church. It concerns the process of rebirth or the creation of new female orders or female protestant ecumenical societies with similar goals and aims. This phenomenon has a broad and interesting sociological and psychological background. The migration phenomenon researcher is here fascinated by the fact that in a country with a highly developed emancipation and feministic awareness, where the women are perfect models of liberation, more and more there are cases of women’s self fulfillment in a completely different way of life. The rebirth of female religious orders is a sign of the times in a welfare society. It points to the truth that the material and social structures do not provide the modern woman with a possibility to fulfillment of her most inner human wishes.

Starting from the actual situation of a world today, the article analyzes a new religious culture characterized by multi-religiosity and inter-religiosity. The approach to this new phenomenon is however interreligious, in which metaphorically, every religion assumes the "colours of all cultures". In this reality, the transition from the religion of Italians to Italy of religions in Catholic schools creates educational challenges in the face of interreligious dialogue. Therefore, the identity and mission of these schools, involved in socio-educational changes, caused by religious pluralism, must be re-examined. The school has the task of educating to overcome all barriers among persons, encouraging pupils towards an experience of a universal solidarity, starting from the neighbours that integrates the interreligious phenomenon.
Na bazie obserwacji aktualnej rzeczywistości zmieniającego się świata w artykule podejmuje się analizę kultury religijnej, charakteryzującą się wieloreligijnością i międzyreligijnością. Podejście do tego zjawiska jest niezwykle istotne również we Włoszech. W sposób metaforyczny mówi się o nim, iż każda religia przyjmuje "kolory wszystkich kultur".
