- The work widens the knowledge about the energy saving in connection with actual rules and provisions concerning designing, making and using of buildings. It shows the similarities and differences between the architectural, material, constructional and technical solutions of buildings in different energetic standards. Apart of that, it compares two chosen projects of detached houses – a traditional building and a passive one – concerning the aspects given above, as well as calculates the demand of warmth needed to heating the rooms with the use of the computer program INSTAL OZC 4.5. Basing on many analyses and researches, the idea of passive buildings is found as good and proper. But it must also be stated that in the current Polish conditions this type of building is very low efficient.
