    W artykule podjęty został problem najbardziej właściwej struktury teologii fundamentalnej. Jego autor opowiada się – formułując argumenty na rzecz swego stanowiska – za strukturą złożoną z czterech traktatów, a mianowicie z traktatu poświęconego religii, Objawieniu, Kościołowi i teologicznej epistemologii. Ponadto analizuje tradycyjną strukturę religia−Objawienie−Kościół w perspektywie zmian, jakie zaszły w traktacie o religii.

    W artykule zostaje podjęta obrona tradycyjnego podziału przedmiotu teologii fundamentalnej na trzy demonstrationes. Pomimo jego krytyki po Vaticanum II łatwo zaobserwować bardzo częste występowanie we współczesnej (niemieckiej) teologii fundamentalnej, co jest poparte racjami metodologicznymi. Rozważania zawarte w artykule wspierają takie stanowisko poprzez analizę koncepcji traktatu i jego naukowego charakteru. Porównując na płaszczyźnie metodologii traktat z poetyczną teologią dogmatyczną niemieckiego teologa Alexa Stocka została wykazana konieczność rozwijania klarownych koncepcji religii, Objawienia i Kościoła (a także innych pojęć występujących w religii) w miejsce jedynie ich deskrypcji.

    In this article one can find the methodological sketch of Fundamental Ecclesiology, in particular: the former lines of this discipline, main concepts, ‘side' sciences, subject, goal and functions and, particularly, methods. This sketch is based on mostly Polish literature which is not ‘large’ but consists important solutions. These solutions ought to be unifed which was one of the aims of this article. The other one was to offer some new propositions, in particular: Fundamental Ecclesiology as Integral Ecclesiology, closer unification of the subjects of Fundamental Ecclesiology and Fundamental Christology and the proper methods of Fundamental Ecclesiology. Trying to use more proper methods some new inspirations found in John Paul II’s teaching could help. In His teaching there is a sketch of three new methods useful in Fundamental Ecclesiology: historical-revelational, contextual-revelational and extracontextual-revelational.

    Opis:
    Fundamental Theology is scientific discipline which ex professo treats about justifying the credibility of Christianity. This discipline is about the foundations of faith and justifies credibility of Divine Revelation which has been fulfilled in Jesus Christ and lasts in the Church. Fundamental Theology would like to make Christian faith reasonable as it shoud be because a man is reasonable and free person full of dignity. Contemporary Fundamental Theology not only makes the traditional argumentation reacher but also tries to find new arguments for the credibility of Christianity. This article contents following issues: 1. justifying the credibility of Christianity as the aim of Fundamental Theology; 2. some projects rejecting the necessity of justifying the credibility of Christianity; 3. traditional arguments for the credibility of the Revelation fulfilled in Jesus Christ; 4. justifying in modern Fundamental Theology. The process of justifying in Fundamental Theology means searching or making arguments, reasons, for supernatural character of Christianity. Because every argument shows the Revelation and faith only partially, so each of them cannot fulfill the whole task. Fundamental Theology needs many arguments. Presenting lots of them Fundamental Theology is able to justify Christian faith more fully.

    A review of contemporary theological publications that concern a variety of different issues lets one notice a certain regularity, i.e. frequent referring to complementary thinking or the principle of complementarity in the theological reflection. In the present article first the fact is shown that referring to complementary thinking has a significant effect on the quality and versatility of theological thinking. Complementarity that is a fruit of the Church’s Catholic character may be a way of reaching the Catholic fullness and a peculiar antidote against the threat of reducing all the wealth of the mystery of faith to some individual aspect only. In the second part a distinct presence of complementary thinking in various areas of the contemporary theological reflection is pointed to.

    Opis:
    This article contains many information about scientific and theological research on the Shroud of Tourin which arouses interest of many people. Especially fundamental theology research, the discipline which so far was interested in it very rarely and today should make necessary revisions, allows to see it as the picture of Jesus Christ, the third sign – beside paschal christofanies and so called the empty (not really) tomb – of the credibility of Christ’s Resurrection (maybe for some people the most evident) and a special sign of the Divine Revelation, God’s economy and the credibility of Christianity. Fundamental theology allows also to treat it as the miracle.
