Opis:: The article analyzes the veritative credibility of the catholic Church according to H. U. von Balthasar. We are trying to answer the question: Does the Church transmit the truth revealed in Jesus Christ in an honest and intact way? Despite changeable, philosophical and cultural directions the doctrine and moral rules of the Church remain constant and in accordance with ecclesiastical tradition. Christianity creates its credibility trough consequent interpretation and proclamation of the Divine Word. The Church interprets mysteries revealed by God in an infallible way, cares about the Biblical canon, meditates on Divine books, explores them and lives according to them. Existence of the ecclesiastical office eliminates attempts of subjective and incorrect understanding of the revelation. The Church fulfils its veritative mission with help of theology, which reads the Divine revelation in new contexts. Church's veritative credibility is created also by the liturgy which makes saving work present and shows the God's Revelation as something living and dynamic. Compatibility between confessed faith and life is the greatest argument for authenticity and credibility of the Church. The revealed truth shows its beauty and power in acts of charity and love.

Opis:: This article based on Avery Cardinal Dulles S.J. ecclesiological thought shows temporal dimension of catholicity of the Church. It is one of the lines of argumentation for the structural credibility of the Church, which demonstrates that the Church as a structure and in its structure preserves Divine Revelation and communicates it in time and space to everyone. Article shows catholicity of the Church in time, that means identity and continuity of the Church from creation to the end of time (fullness of Kingdom of God). According to Dulles the Church has different stages. In a visible form it finally emerged in Jesus’ live, death and resurrection and sending of Holly Spirit. Thanks to its sacramental structure Church is dynamical and in time it changes forms of its life to be a sign of salvation for all. Therefore the Church is one and simultaneously diverse, it has to fit to all times to realize mission to preach Jesus Christ. To the structure of the Church in this time dimension pertain elements pointing to the unity in diversity of the Church: Tradition (as a not only static but also dynamic communication of Divine Revelation), reform (as a verification of the Church’s mission and the elimination of distortions of its function), doctrine of the Church (constantly interpreted preserves contents of Divine Revelation in a changing historical and cultural contexts), authority in the Church (hierarchical, theological and charismatic; they preserve purity of the Church’s teaching and fidelity of Divine Revelation). These elements participate in the Church’s transmission of Divine Revelation and salvation in time, and are premises of an structural argument of credibility of the Church.

Opis:: American theologian Avery Dulles applies models to show different aspects of God's selfcommunication. But all models of revelation he integrates by using the idea of the symbol of participation, which is the external reality by which God reveals Himself to people. According to Avery Dulles revelation is the activity of God who gives Himself to a man through revelatory symbols and communicates his divine truths in order to welcome people to eternal, redemptive union with Himself. In a question related to a rational character of revelation he explains the issues such as the possibility, necessity and nature of verification of revelation by human mind. The American theologian maintains that it is possible that revelation may occur and that it is essential to human eternal salvation. The author also claims that human mind can recognize divine revelation which is the first condition to accept revelation in faith. He maintained, moreover, that we may reach moral certainty in theology, not certainty of evidence, and that divine grace completes the rest of our religious knowledge. The next part of this article shows traditional arguments for the rational character of Christian revelation. According to Avery Dulles the argument from resurrection is the most important among other classic arguments. American scholar gives also new arguments for a rational character of Christian revelation. The argument from the testimony of Christians’ lives is typical for Avery Dulles way of thinking. Finally, when we justify God’s revelation, we can accept it reasonably.

Opis:: Die ganze Ökonomie Gottes ist das gemeinsame Werk der drei göttlichen Personen, und ihr Ziel besteht in dem Eingang der Geschöpfe in die vollkommene Einheit und Liebe der Heiligen Dreifaltigkeit. Die Ökonomie Gottes organisiert die Wirklichkeit unter der Gestalt der Offenbarungs- und Heilsgeschichte. Die ganze Wirklichkeit ist in sie eingeschrieben, eingefügt und allmählich taucht sie auf im Prozeß ihres geschichtlichen Vollzugs. Daher auch verweist der Begriff Heilsökonomie Gottes und der Offenbarung gleichzeitig auf das Wirken Gottes in Zusammenarbeit mit den Menschen, die sie realisieren. Die Ökonomie Gottes die sich stufenweise in der Geschichte erkennen läßt, hat ihren Beginn mit der Erschaffung des Menschen und der Welt. Die Alttestamentliche Ökonomie war auf das Ereignis Christi ausgerichtet, in dem sie sich erfüllt. In ihm auch (in Christus und im Heil) gewann sie ihre Glaubwürdigkeit und ist auf die eschatischen Zeiten geöffnet.

Arguments in Fundamental Theology
Opis:: Fundamental Theology is scientific discipline which ex professo treats about justifying the credibility of Christianity. This discipline is about the foundations of faith and justifies credibility of Divine Revelation which has been fulfilled in Jesus Christ and lasts in the Church. Fundamental Theology would like to make Christian faith reasonable as it shoud be because a man is reasonable and free person full of dignity. Contemporary Fundamental Theology not only makes the traditional argumentation reacher but also tries to find new arguments for the credibility of Christianity. This article contents following issues: 1. justifying the credibility of Christianity as the aim of Fundamental Theology; 2. some projects rejecting the necessity of justifying the credibility of Christianity; 3. traditional arguments for the credibility of the Revelation fulfilled in Jesus Christ; 4. justifying in modern Fundamental Theology. The process of justifying in Fundamental Theology means searching or making arguments, reasons, for supernatural character of Christianity. Because every argument shows the Revelation and faith only partially, so each of them cannot fulfill the whole task. Fundamental Theology needs many arguments. Presenting lots of them Fundamental Theology is able to justify Christian faith more fully.

Opis:: On the feast of St Andrew the Apostle, on November 30 2007 His Holiness Pope BenedictXVI promulgated the encyclical letter Spe salvi. The papal document is a proclamation of the Gospel of hope. Life devoid of hope is the most acute problem of modern times. Benedict XVI, reading this „sign of the times” points to the need of regaining hope, as it is hope only that gives meaning to human life and history. Sending the message of hope he emphasizes that man may find the lost hope only in God who is a certain and lasting foundation of every man’s great hope. In the present paper Christianity's hopeful credibility is shown in the light of Benedict XVI's encyclical letter Spe salvi. The issue is shown in the following paragraphs: 1. Anti-hopeful atmosphere of modern times; 2.Hope revealed in Jesus Christ; 3. Hopeful character of the Christian testimony. The message of hope proclaimed by the Church allows modern man to overcome his despair, his doubt about the meaning of life, the lack of perspectives in his life, especially in the ultimate dimension. Christian hope helps man to be liberated from the feeling of hopelessness and from the lack of a vision of the future. Christianity's hopeful credibility is realized by the testimony given by Christ's confessors. The testimony becomes credible when Christians live with the hope they are given by God in their everyday lives. They are God's sign for the world through their sensibility to those situations that may deprave man of hope. The message of hope is convincing for the world when Christians' life is marked with faithful waiting for their final meeting with Christ who will come in glory.

Opis:: The aim of this paper was to analyze a motivating aspect of love in Buddhism. As the most comprehensive analysis of the Buddhist love in the Polish literature is the work of H.deLubac, hence the focus on his research, supplemented by observations of contemporary theologians. First shown understanding of the term „love” in Buddhism, referenced in order to analyze the three terms: majtri (kindness), dana (excellence based on the generosity and assistance), karuna (pity, compassion). Then the paper analyzed the relationship of Buddhist love to the love of Christianity and drew attention to the fact that Buddhism has been switched relationship between love and compassion (in Buddhism, compassion is born of love, in Christianity it is inversely). Buddhist charity does not have also a community dimension, so characteristic of Christianity. Results of this study was that supernatural love in Buddhism is present in the same extent that it is the divine revelation in the creatures and by creatures, and in the same way it lends credibility. Love in Buddhism does not have full incentive asset due to alack in her the aspect of the Trinity, the ecclesial and sacramental (they strictly specify the Christianity). As a result of this has been demonstrated that Christianity offers the deepest shot of motivating aspect. Love in Christianity is in fact linked to the full and most perfect revelation of Christ.

Opis:: This article contains many information about scientific and theological research on the Shroud of Tourin which arouses interest of many people. Especially fundamental theology research, the discipline which so far was interested in it very rarely and today should make necessary revisions, allows to see it as the picture of Jesus Christ, the third sign – beside paschal christofanies and so called the empty (not really) tomb – of the credibility of Christ’s Resurrection (maybe for some people the most evident) and a special sign of the Divine Revelation, God’s economy and the credibility of Christianity. Fundamental theology allows also to treat it as the miracle.
