- In der Einführung betont der Verfasser, dass alle Menschen zur Heiligkeit berufen sind und zwar aus diesem Grund, weil jeder Mensch nach dem Bild des Dreieinigen Gottes erschaffen worden ist. Der Mensch ist berufen zur Gemeinschaft mit Gott (vgl. GS 19). In der Endzeit, nachdem das ewige Wort leiblich in die Geschichte eingetreten ist und sich seiner Braut der Heiligen Kirche eucharistisch verschenkt hat haben wir den sakramentalen Weg zur Heiligkeit, der nur in der Kirche vorhanden ist, denn außerhalb der Kirche gibt es keine Eucharistie. Die Kirche ist also das einzige Haus in dem der Mensch und Gott beisammen sind. Die Taufe ist der feierliche Eintritt auf den Weg des sakramentalen Lebens. Dank der Taufe, darf der Mensch in einer engen Verbindung mit Christus leben. Der Verfasser schildert den Weg zur Heiligkeit auf dem Wege der Sakramente: Die Taufe, das Bußsakrament, die Eucharistie, die Firmung, die Priesterweihe, das Ehesakrament, die Krankensalbung. In der Schlussfolgerung weis der Verfasser darauf hin, dass das sakramentale Leben der schmaler Weg ist und wer auf diesem Weg ausharrt bis an das Ende, der muss gerettet werden, denn das hat Christus versprochen, der die Wahrheit ist, und die Wahrheit kann nicht Lügen.
