In the article, the author presents the family as the best setting for the effectiveness of education. In a society shaken by various kinds of individualism and selfishness, children must be enriched with a sense of love and quality of community, which is built in the family as communio personarum. The self-giving that inspires the love of husband and wife for each other is the model for the self-giving that must be practiced in the relationships between brothers and sisters and the different generations living together in the family. And the communion and sharing that are part of everyday life in the home at times of joy and at times of difficulty are the most concrete and effective pedagogy. The quality of community life in the family creates the base for human development and education.

Od końca drugiej wojny światowej ewolucja rodziny przybrała dramatycznie inny kształt. To samo dotyczy realiów szkoły i jej podejścia do nauczania. Czy jednak potrzeba nauczania może być ograniczana i wyrażana poza realnym życiem? Żądanie zmian jest powszechne zarówno wśród młodych, jak i dorosłych, którzy poszukują rzeczywistych odpowiedzi na swoje pytania. Uczenie się przez całe życie staje się rzeczywistością: jest to nauczanie dla życia! Można potencjalnie uzyskać w tej kwestii rozmaite odpowiedzi. Jedną z nich są Wiejskie Domy Rodzinne (MFR – Maisons Familiales Rurales), należące do AIMFR, Międzynarodowego Związku Wiejskich Domów Rodzinnych.
Since the end of the Second World War, the evolution of the family has dramatically changed. The same goes for the true reality of school and its teaching approach. But can the need for training be limited and express itself outside of real life? A demand for change is prevalent amongst both youth and adults who are seeking real answers to their questions. Lifelong learning becomes reality: this is training for life! There are different potential answers available. Amongst these answers, there is the Rural Family Houses one (MFR – Maisons Familiales Rurales); the Rural Family Houses are grouped within AIMFR, the International Association of Rural Family Houses).

The aim of the present investigations was to answer the questions of (a) whether and in the sphere of what family factors there are differences between secondary school girls using and not using Internet pornography and (b) whether and what kind of relations obtain between the dimensions of Internet addiction and family factors in a group of girls using Internet pornography. Material: The participants were 186 secondary school girls aged 16-19 years. Methods: The study was conducted using Young's Internet Addiction Test (IAT) for assessing the severity of Internet addiction, and the following instruments by Pawłowska and Potembska: the Internet Addiction Assessment Questionnaire, the Disturbed Family Relations Questionnaire, and a Personal Inquiry Form. The Internet Addiction Assessment Questionnaire consisted of five scales, I. Acceptance, II. Games-Need for Aggression and Power, III. Computer Addiction, IV. Internet Addiction, and V. Pornography. The Disturbed Family Relations Questionnaire was made up of scales for I. Violence, II. Overprotectiveness, III. Coalition with the Mother, IV. Lack of Acceptance-Rejection, and V. Indifference. Results and conclusions: On the basis of the obtained results, the following conclusions were formulated: 1. The girls who used Internet pornography, more often than the girls who did not use it, had experienced violence and rejection in the family, and had taken over the role of guardians in their relationships with their mothers. 2.Increased symptoms of addiction to the Internet, aggressive computer games, and Internet pornography, as well as the search for acceptance and understanding from people contacted online co-occured with violence, rejection, and indifference experienced in the family, assumption by the child of the role of guardian and protector of the mother, and fear of adulthood.

This study seeks to answer the following questions: what are the traits of a family system that are combined with the self-image that alcoholics' children have, or whether sex is a differentiating variable. The main hypothesis assumes that there is a relationship between the functioning of a family and DDA students. 32 students (13 women and 17 men) have been examined, all of them participants of psychotherapy by means of D. Beckmann's and H.E. Richter's Giessen Test (GT) and Z. Gasia's Family Profile (Pol. PR). The findings have shown the following: the more adaptive is a family system, the more mutual understanding and sense of functionality there is and the greater is the sense of social resonant in students. The more cohesive is the family, the more emotional openness and stability there are in men. The greater is family adaptation, the greater are the sense of social resonant and social opportunities in men. The greater is the mutual understanding and sense of family functionality, the greater is the sense of social resonant in men. The greater is the disorganisation of the family, the lesser is the sense of social resonant and social opportunities in men. In the case of women no correlation between the functioning of the family and self-image was found.

Opis:
The issue of disability should be considered in the context of the family, for it is the family that accompanies the disabled person from the very beginning. It becomes his or her best and surest support, in the economic, psychological, and spiritual dimensions. Concentration, however, on the individual that is most in need causes the whole family system to fail its function with time. Limitations that result from the fact of disability are real threats that the family may become marginalised or even eliminated from social life. The family is not able to overcome crisis on its own, thus supportive institutions and organisations play an essential role. The State Rehabilitation Fund for the Disabled (Pol. PFRON), urban and rural social work centres are leading institutions in supporting families with the disabled persons. In order to obtain aid from PFRON, however, one should be resourceful, well-educated, and well-off. Now social support centres concentrate only on those families that are the poorest, uneducated, and live in villages and small towns. It follows from research that families are considerably supported by institutions, although they only to a small degress satisfy the needs of the families under study.

We are living in times that researchers call the times of consumerism. Purchasing, using and consuming ever more clearly become an integral part of a new global culture called consumer culture. In forming behaviors and the hierarchy of values in an adult man his closest environment, and especially his family and his acquaintances, play a significant role. Hence pathogenic factors that are the cause of occurrence of various kinds of disturbances should be searched for also in the family and social systems. Analysis of the possible causes of occurrence of unplanned shopping in the family and social environment supplies many hypotheses that should be verified in an empirical way.

The subject of the research presented in the article is the migrant family, defined in the subject literature as a “temporarily incomplete” family, that is characterized by structural disorganization. The study included 77 children in a long-term separation with one or both parents. The control consisted of 64 children brought up in families, in which there was no separation. Children were selected for this group intentionally, on the basis of demographic variables: age, sex and the place where the child was living. The projective drawing with instruction “My family” was used as the research tool. Statistical analysis and interpretation of the obtained results of the research compared the two groups of children as far as their readiness to communicate with their closest environment, indices of good and poor communication presented in the drawing, loneliness of the child in the picture and relations with the parent separated with the child for labor reasons and the one taking care of him were concerned. The obtained results show the occurrence of significant disturbances in the sphere of communication with the closest ones in the children from the families separated because of the labor migration as compared to the children in the control group.

Faith in God plays an extraordinarily significant role in the life of handicapped persons and of their guardians. Most respondents treat faith as a support and a source of strength for resolving problems posed by everyday life. The more difficult the living situation caused by the level of the disability, the deeper the trust in God and giving oneself up to Him is. Every third subject of the study indicated that without faith he/she cannot imagine his/her life, and nearly every fifth respondent is convinced that owing to faith the miracle of healing and return to a complete ability may happen. The Holy Mass is a profound religious experience for most of the respondents, giving them consolidation in their difficult living situation. Only few treat the Holy Mass as a habit, a custom, or a thing that is necessary because of the pressure from the people around them. Also the fact that persons with a considerable disability declare experiencing the Holy Mass more profoundly than those whose physical status is decidedly better is an important observation.

Both all-Poland research and research conducted by the author shows that despite the great interest in parareligion only few respondents believe in its efficiency. This lack of faith is especially clearly seen in disabled persons, and this is probably because many such persons have already looked for help in unconventional kinds of treatment and after they were disappointed they are convinced that such methods do not give good results. This kind of research should be especially widely popularized, as there are still many people who resort to unconventional methods of treatment in their difficult moments; indeed some of them abandon scientific methods altogether, which, in turn, may be tantamount to rejecting the only chance for being cured.

Die Geschichte der Menschheit verläuft ebenso wie die menschliche Heilsgeschichte durch die Familie. Darum stellt die Familie unter den vielen Wegen der Kirche den ersten und in vielerlei Hinsicht auch den besten Weg dar. Selbst wenn sich jemand dafür entschieden hat allein zu leben, bleibt die Familie doch sein existenzieller Horizont als diejenige Gemeinschaft, auf der das gesamte Leben basiert. Die wichtigste Aufgabe der Familie im Rahmen ihres Mitwirkens an einer Zivilisation der Liebe besteht offensichtlich darin, den Begriff der Elternschaft in einem vertieften Sinn zu verstehen. Im vorliegenden Artikel wurde das Problem aufgegriffen, dass die Elternschaft die Realisierung der göttlichen Berufung sein muss und welche Konsequenzen sich daraus für die Erziehung ergeben. Zunächst wurde dargelegt, wie die christliche Berufung im Allgemeinen zu verstehen ist, bevor in diesem Licht die Berufung zu einem Leben in Ehe und Familie betrachtet wurde. Im Anschluss daran wurde erläutert, dass die Berufung zu einem Leben in Ehe und Familie ein Geschenk aber auch eine Aufgabe darstellt. Dagegen bezieht sich der letzte Punkt auf die elterliche Liebe, die ihren Ausdruck auf ganz unterschiedliche Weise als mütterliche oder väterliche Liebe finden kann.

Opis:
The vocation to parenthood is one of the basic tasks of the spouses. In the modern world marital infertility is one of the ever more common problems affecting married couples. On the other hand, ever more often we encounter situations, in which parents, especially single mothers, do not want to raise their children. The meeting of the needs of people in both these situations makes the so-called unwanted or rejected children get a chance to find parental love and a family home by means of adoption. The article tackles the issue of adoption present in the teaching of the Magisterium of the Church. It indicates that accepting a born child to the family through adoption is a requirement of the spouses' fertile love, but also a Christian fulfillment of the commandment of love, the service to life and a way to preach the “Gospel of life” by means of acts of love given to the most needy child. Adoption is not an easy thing, an event that happens once, but it amounts to saying “yes” to love; it is accepting a certain way of life, in which serving another man and Christ present in the “least” man is the first and supreme aim of adoptive parents' life. It is also worth stressing that the necessity to shape and create mentality serves a man not as something exceptional, but exactly as the style of life of Christian spouses.

The parents’ authority means a set of rights and obligations towards a child. The merit of this authority does not necessarily mean exercising it and in some cases possessing this right is not connected with implementing it into reality. The right to exercise the parents’ authority should mean the personal right to deal with the child’s matters. The provisions of Family Law give the family courts several control instruments over the bringing up of a child in a family. The courts apply and implement parents’ rights limitations, but they do it just after a deep analysis of each case.
