The inherent aspect of assessing the effectiveness of improvement activities in enterprises is building a system for measuring performance, hence using a variety of measures and indicators. These measures are used to evaluate key activities carried out in various functional areas of the company and indicate their effectiveness in relation to the objectives of the organization. One of the measures most widely used in enterprises assessment of the efficiency of the maintenance, production and logistics is the efficiency of production equipment - OEE. The literature on OEE indicates the spectrum of its applications. It is used both as a operational efficiency measurement as well as a guide for managers for building internal cooperation between maintenance, production and logistics as well as initiating actions to increase the effective use of management at the disposal of production equipment. The purpose of this article is to show the possibilities of improving efficiency of production equipment working in the painting facility. Article consists of five chapters. The second chapter on the basis of the literature points indicators of efficiency used in enterprises concerning its equipment. The third chapter describes the production line, the analysis of OEE and defines the main problems. Section four – improvement actions and assessment of their impact on the value of the OEE. The fifth chapter is a summary and conclusions.

Opis:
This article describes the way of exploiting an andon system to measure key performance indicators (KPIs) of manufacturing plant from the automotive industry. The performance measurement is conducted using four factors in two levels of performance aggregation. The first level constitutes the set of performance factors calculated for separated areas such as overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) to measure operational effectiveness and total effective equipment performance (TEEP) for analysis of capacity utilization. In the second level some global fators are proposed such as overall plant effectiveness (OPE) and total effective plant performance (TEPP) for global investigation of plant performance. Although OEE is well-known factor indicating different types of production losses it doesn’t allow to look globally on the performance of whole production system. Therefore, a method of calculating global performance for whole plant in the form of OPE and TEPP is presented. These factors are investigated based on previous calculated OEE factors for smaller manufacturing areas. An andon system is used as information tool to monitor production losses needed to calculate mentioned KPIs factors.

Opis:
The increase of machine utilization in manufacturing companies contributes significantly to improving customer logistics service by ensuring the availability of stocks at the required level. The aim of the article is to present the impact of the improved machine use in the manufacturing plant of the lighting industry on supply chain efficiency. The first part discussed the performance indicators of machine use in the Total Productive Maintenance grasp with suggestions of their improvement. The second part presents the facilitation of the machine use process in the company. It also contains the analysis of the influence of the machine use improvement on shaping the availability of component inventory of the customer.
