Opis:
In the paper, the problem and importance of maintaining an appropriate level of quality in relation to labor protection in the light of EU and national legal standards have been presented. Maintenance of machines and, consequently, stability in the field of process quality is identified on the basis of specific management requirements according the machinery safety in food industry, also with respect to the sphere of their construction, production, distribution, and in particular exploitation. The food industry on global markets is characterized by a large variety of consumers. Therefore, both needs and requirements can have a very wide range, also with regard to quality criteria, care for the natural environment, development of technologies as well as new products introduction. Trends defining dynamics and competition in the food industry include a large number of factors, that require effective management, e.g.: quality ingredients of foodstuffs, preparation of products, maximum product safety as a measure of quality, application of modern production technologies (fast filling and packaging installations). Care for the safety of machinery and equipment used in industry and food processing is a guarantee of manufacturing products of the highest nutritional quality for consumers. With regard to ensuring the safety and quality of food products, in the paper the general principles in risk assessment and the technical measures to improve the safety of machines during their use have been presented.

In this article is drawn attention to the social aspects of improving the quality of production. The relationship between the development of technology and society is still underappreciated. There is a vital need to make technical managers aware of the rules governing interpersonal relationships. This theoretical article aims to bring the basic concepts of social sciences closer to recipients focused on constant improvement of the production quality. The essence of the work process is primarily the fact that it is done by a human being and mostly in a group of people. This is related to the consequences of sociological nature to which managers do not pay enough attention. Instead of focusing on social and interpersonal problems they are dealing with organizational issues. The conclusion of consideration leads to underlining the need for constant improvement - manager training in social engineering principles.

Increasing global competition, changes in the environment and the increasing complexity of supply chains force companies to look for more effective solutions that meet the needs and requirements of customers. The development of information and communication technologies (ICT) can help to cope with these challenges. The aim of the study is to use the 8D methodology to solve the production problem, which was the incorrect installation of the rings in the piston designed for excavators. The idea of the method used is to correctly identify the causes of the problem and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of the problem. In order to detect as many potential causes of non-compliance as possible, the working team conducted brainstorming sessions and then developed the Ishikawa diagram. Team members found that the most common source of the problem was human error. In order to eliminate it, it was decided to carry out a series of training courses and to additionally equip assembly stations. The presented methodology of solving quality problems can be implied in every production company.

In the article was presented the results of analysis of the nonconformities which occur during the production of PET bottles in the selected company from Poland. The analysis included six process unit operations of forming PET bottles. The aim of the analysis is to present specific corrective and improvement actions based on the results obtained. The article presents a short description of the process of shaping PET bottles for six selected operations. The block diagram of the PET bottle shaping process is presented. Quality management tools were used for quantitative and qualitative analysis. The use of the Pareto-Lorenz diagram allowed for quantitative an approach to the quality problems of PET bottles. The Ishikawa diagram was used to identify potential causes of the most frequent problem. Corrective actions were proposed to improve the quality of PET bottles tested. The research problem has been solved. As a critical element requiring improvement, the competences of employees and the process of operating machines and devices were indicated.
