Opis:
Heat supply is an important sector of the country's energy economy. Modern heating systems should guarantee the reliability of heat supply while limiting the impact on the environment. It results from the objectives of the climate policy implemented in the European Union, which is based on decarbonisation, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, developing renewable energy and improving energy efficiency. As a consequence of such a policy under the European Green Deal is the need for a rapid transformation of the Polish heating sector with the use of innovative low-emission technologies. The article discusses the framework of the European Union's climate and energy policy and the directions of Poland's energy policy in the area of heating. The characteristics of the heat market in Poland and key indicators related to the objectives of the Green Deal in relation to other European Union countries are presented. Then, the directions of system heat transformation with the use of renewable energy sources and heat storage technologies are discussed. The achievements of Polish heating companies in the field of introducing renewable energy sources and innovative technologies were presented. The possibilities and limitations of the transformation of the Polish heating sector were also indicated.

Opis:
The heating sector, which accounts for half of the EU's final Energy consumption, still relies heavily on fossil fuels. This results in the emission of greenhouse gases and other pollutants into the atmosphere. For this reason, the European Union has, for several years, been pursuing a climate and energy policy which, in the area of district heating, is intended to make it more efficient and sustainable. This means introducing low-carbon technologies and reducing fossil fuel consumption in favour of renewable energy sources. Modern efficient district heating systems should guarantee a reliable heat supply while reducing environmental impact. The article discusses the main factors important for the sustainable development of district heating. The potential and importance of the heating sector in the European Union member states was presented. Then, the factors affecting the development of this sector are shown and the directions of transformation of district heating systems with the use of renewable Energy sources are discussed. It also presents the current structure of fuels consumed by the district heating sector in Europe and its projected development with the use of high-efficiency cogeneration and various renewable energy sources.

Opis:
Heat supply is one of the most important sectors of the country's energy economy. Widely understood heating secures both: the living needs of society and industrial recipients. Modern heating systems should guarantee reliability of heat supply while limiting energy consumption and transmission losses. It results from the sustainable development strategy, implemented in the European Union, which is based on the development of renewable energy and improvement of energy efficiency. As a consequence of such an energy policy, investments and innovations are implemented in the two areas of the heating sector: technical infrastructure and management of the heat generation and transmission system. The article discusses legal as well as technical and economic conditions for the operation of heating companies, including aspects of energy security. The characteristics of the heat market in Poland and investment expenditures related to the modernisation of infrastructure and environmental protection has been presented in it. Selected innovations used in the process of heat production and supply have been described as well as modern technologies and IT tools that improve management of heating system. The possibilities and limitations of innovative heating development have also been indicted here.

Opis:
Billions of people in the world are at risk of getting unsafe food. There is an urgent need to improve efficiency and effectiveness of food supply chains. The global population is expected to reach at least 9 billion by the year 2050, requiring up to 70% more food than nowadays and demanding food production and distribution to become much more sustainable. Today, food safety is a worldwide concern due to a number of food safety scandals. As supply chains become more globalized and complex, the ability to track and trace products from fork to farm becomes more difficult but remains equally important. Good traceability may minimize the production and distribution of unsafe or poor quality products. It allows targeting the product affected by a food safety problem, minimizing disruption to trade and any potential public health risks. The objective of this paper is therefore to conduct a comprehensive analysis of traceability methods and technologies in food supply chains.
