Opis:
Protection of water and water-depended ecosystems, in a view of their huge environmental role and high sensitivity to changes of environmental conditions, is one of the fundamental issues included in the legal acts in force, agreements, international conventions, directives and projects. Strong variety of groundwater-depended ecosystems practically causes impossibility to elaborate on an universal methodology for defining their environmental needs. Wetlands are one of the most differentiated groundwater-depended ecosystems, for which the programmes of hydrogeological researches in the range of diagnosis and prognosis of groundwater level changes necessitate an individual adjustment to the study area. Researches of the groundwater-depended ecosystems, including wetlands, mostly in a range of their protection and renaturalisation, require an interdisciplinary approach. On the basis of the researches conducted in the wetland areas in the Kampinos National Park, different hydro-environmental factors determining groundwater level changes in those wetlands were presented. The variety of values and dependences were obtained as a results of the conducted calculations of groundwater levels correlation with different factors. Results of the researches allow to point at the regions, where groundwater levels dependence on precipitation values is significant and the regions, where other factors than infiltration recharge values, have important impact on groundwater table depth. An analysis of trend of changes requires constant update of the monitoring data concerning of groundwater levels in wetland areas. The valorization of vegetation cover and soils done directly (locally) during the field works or on the basis of the papers containing soil characteristic and peatland documentations, requires generalization, adapted to the specificity of the hydrogeological researches in regional scale. Huge spatial differentiation, time-change variation, and secondary transformation processes of the vegetation and soil types, causes, that the results of the vegetation and habitat studies can not be directly used for identification of the factors determining groundwater table level.

Opis:
Hydrogeological documetation in the terms of deposit exploitation, water injection to the rock formations, drainage, and other mining activity requires the characteristic of groundwater conditions, mainly in the field of groundwater hazards. Hydrogeological documentations are the basis for granting or renewing a concession. The necessity of a general description in hydrogeological documentation as a result of legal regulations is justified and understood, although broader and non-standard scope should be revised, connected with: development of research methods in hydrogeology, scope of their applicability, modern research methodology for measurement and evaluation of hydrogeological parameters, new mining techniques. Commonly realized documents include, among other things, characteristics of hydrogeological conditions, in particular the extent of geological structure planned for water injection, depth, thickness and capacity of reservoirs, hydrogeological parameters, groundwater flow directions, isolation conditions and hydrogeological parameters of rock formations directly above reservoirs. Based on the documented work, the paper describes the problem of presenting the most important hydrogeological aspects that determine the possibility of water injection into the rock formations, the scope of hydrogeological investigations and justification of the observation and measurement conducted for the assessment of environmental hazards caused by water injection.

Opis:
The results of the research concerning measures of strontium isotopes and concentrations, were presented in this article. This environmental tracers occuring in groundwater and surface water allowed for the preliminary identification of groundwater circulation in the multi-layered aquifer system. The study area concerned Żarnowiecka Upland and Valley of the Żarnowieckie Lake with the Piaoenica river, where the occurrence of 3 to 5 aquifers in Quaternary, Miocene and Oligocene was confirmed. The valley area is also the Main Groundwater Reservoir (MGR) No. 109. The results clearly indicated on substantial differences in the values of 87Sr/86Sr isotopic signatures and strontium concentrations in each of aquifers. These differences made possible to determine the percentage of the groundwater in the Piaoenica drained from the upland and from the valley. Calculations showed the groundwater component from the upland may constitute up to 80% of river water, and the river is a regional drainage base even for the Oligocene aquifer occurring at a depth of approx. 200 m. The results confirmed no link between the shallowest aquifers occurring in the upland, and the drainage role of the Piaśnica river. The characteristic of shallow groundwater is similar to the rainwater.
