Opis:
The stud frame of stretching station WSH 400/15 was the main subject of the researches presented in this paper. The aim of the article was the quality analysis of the stud frame during its production process. Construction and scheme of production process of stud frame was presented. Analysis of main areas which generate incompatibilities of researched element was made. Proposals of process improvement with the help of relation diagram and affinity diagram were presented.

Opis:
All castings can have defects caused by, for example, deviations in material characteristics, structure or properties, but the skillful use of available technologies and quality management tools allows for the detection and elimination of casting incompatibilities as well as the prevention of their recurrence in the future. The aim of the article was to analyse the types of defects in castings, locate the areas with the most frequent occurrence of defects and identify the reasons for the presence of defects in castings of the control panel and its cover. The paper presents the usefulness of a combination of quality management instruments for diagnosing material discontinuities in the analyzed castings.

The results of tests carried out for the company involved in the production of paving stones. The study used the Pareto-Lorenz diagram. After analyzing the production process 10 discrepancies were identified. The Pareto-Lorenz diagram shows that the highest value is cumulative deficiency "uneven concrete mix to fill the form on the structural layer and a top." The results indicate that another cause of incompatibilities in terms of the cumulative value is the "poorly chosen concrete mix".

Opis:
This article presents a theoretical basis for one type of control in enterprises – visual control. It presents the meaning of visual control in the Toyota Production System and BOST researches as a tool of measure, among other things, the importance of visual control in production companies. The level of importance of visual control usage as one of the production process elements in the analysed company was indicated. The usage of visual control is a main factor in a production process of the analyzed company, the factor which provides continuous help to employees to check whether the process differs from the standard. The characteristic progression of production process elements was indicated and the SW factor (the use of visual control) took the third place, PE factor (interruption of production when it detects a problem of quality) turned out to be the most important one, while the least important was the EU factor (granting power of attorney down). The main tools for this evaluation : an innovative BOST survey - Toyota's management principles in questions, in particular, the Pareto-Lorenz diagram, radar graph and series of importance as graphical interpretation tools, were used to present the importance of each factor in relation to individual assessments.

The most critical activities influencing the success of each company are continuous improvement of the quality of manufactured products and monitoring of the production process. Skillful use of available technologies and quality management tools allows for eliminating casting non-conformities and preventing their repetition in the future. The research aimed to analyze the types of defects occurring in castings, the location of their most frequent occurrence areas, and to identify the causes of defects in castings of bearing housings used in rail vehicles. The benefits of a combination of quality management tools for diagnosing material discontinuities in the analyzed castings are presented in this article.

The automotive industry is one of the most important branches of the global industry. For this purpose, products are produced by an extensive network of suppliers. They supply components directly to the (OEM - Original Equipment Manufacturer) or to the secondary market of parts. In recent years, the economic situation in these companies has dramatically deteriorated and it is associated with a decrease in new car sales. These companies are constantly making decisions to improve their production processes using various quality tools. These actions may help to increase their competitive advantage and thereby improve their financial situation. The surveyed company produces drive half-shafts for different types of cars. The studies were carried out to analyse the causes of non-compliance - falling band from the housing on the drive shaft. In order to identify and verify the causes for non-compliance and undertake corrective action following methods were used: Ishikawa diagram, 5WHY and brainstorming.

In 2013, global steel production reached a level of 1.548 million tons. This value indicates that, in the 21st century, steel is still one of the most popular construction materials. In Poland 8.2 million tons of steel was produced in 2013. A large share of steel is used for the production of hot-rolled plates for car bodies. Steel products made in high temperature processes are used in virtually all sectors of industries. The hot-rolled plates for car bodies should comply with the highest quality requirements. In this chapter the results of research from the 3-month follow-up are presented. To assess the level of non-conformity in hot-rolled plates the Pareto-Lorenz diagram was used. The results are the basis for the improvement of the production process of hot-rolled products.

Making a complex analysis of the problem in order to identify the root of its occurrence, is the process burdened with the risk of uncertainty. This risk is in case of the quality analysis, in which the choice and making a decision is not confirmed by reliable information (number). But these techniques do not include the risk of uncertainty, so their sequence should be expanded about the appropriate method, to take this into account. It was considered beneficial to demonstrate that this method is the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process method (FAHP). The aim of the study to implement the FAHP method in the sequence of traditional quality management techniques (Ishikawa diagram and 5Why method) and proposition new, not practiced yet the method to complex analysis of the problem and identify the root of its root cause. The subject of the study was the furniture front, on which the incompatibility was identified (shortened foil). From the categories to which the potential causes of the inadequate foil were assigned, by using the Ishikawa diagram and the FAHP method in an integrated manner, were defined the most important categories (method and machine) in a precise (numerical) way. Next, using the same tools, the relationship between the potential causes was analysed and selected the main causes of the problem. Then, by using the 5Why method the root of the problem was defined (lack of the new machine and failure to comply with labor standards). The obtained results could differ depending on the subjectivity, however, the method itself proved to be effective and can be used to solve other types of the problem.

In the article analysis of the discrepancies in the production process for selected products in a company producing candles was carried out. Using the Pareto-Lorenz diagram and the FMEA method the most essential areas having influence on the production of candles were shown. Apart from factors connected with the manufacturing side of the process, factors of the labour organization and requirements concerning the quality of material were also noted. An appropriate quality of equipment constitutes one of the essential conditions of production process functioning and this directly influences manufacturing possibilities of the enterprise. A synthesis of immaterial factors that influence the production of the enterprise, taking into consideration conditions of functioning the production system, was also carried out. The set of factors selected for description was the fourteenth Toyota management principle. Respondents were asked to provide answers which could bring the best improvements.

As part of continuous quality improvement in well-managed enterprises, identifying unconformity should initiate actions to find their causes. Therefore, it was proposed to the enterprise located in Podkarpacie to use in the sequential way the Ishikawa diagram and 5Why method. The aim was to analyse of unconformity (porosity cluster) on the turbine outlet nozzle and identify the root of its creation. In the enterprise, the quality analysis of the products with a fluorescent method was carried out, but after identifying the unconformity, non-analysis of their reason for their occurrence was not practiced. Therefore, it was intentional to propose the use of sequence i.e. Ishikawa diagram and 5Why method to identify the root of unconformity. The subject of study was the turbine outlet nozzle, on which the fluorescent method the porosity cluster was identified. With the use of the Ishikawa diagram, the main cause of the problem was pointed (unconformity during production), and by the 5Why method the root cause of the problem, i.e. unconformity material from the supplier, was identified. The proposed method sequence is a simple and effective way to make analyses of unconformities and it can be used in different products and service enterprises.
