    Opis:
    Quality control of the production process allows to detect incompatibilities. One of the key elements of quality control is a visual inspection. The object of the research is to determine the essential elements having an impact on visual inspections. Research was carried out according to the BOST method designed at the Institute of Production Engineering, Technical University of Czestochowa.

    Opis:
    The article presents research results in a scope of evaluation importance in visual control usage in the production processes of enterprises from automotive industry. The significance of visual control in a production process was characterized. An innovative BOST questionnaire survey was described as a tool for transformation of Toyota's management principles into questions. The survey questions from BOST study were described, which is used in evaluation of the visual control importance with reference to the second Toyota's management principle (question E3). The analysis of respondents preference in ranging factors of the second Toyota's management principle was conducted using comparative evaluation of Thurstone’s method, as well as the degree of similarity between these factors was indicated. A subjective factor was assessed by employees of automotive industry as one of less significant in the production process.

    This paper presents a brief description of the surveyed enterprises and the manufacturing process of its flagship product - butter. Subsequently an analysis of BOST survey results was conducted. The staff spoke out about the importance of factors describing one of Toyota's management principle. Their opinion was the basis for the systematization of research results and to formulate a performance evaluation of the selected company. Results were presented by using spatial charts.

    Opis:
    This article presents a theoretical basis for one type of control in enterprises – visual control. It presents the meaning of visual control in the Toyota Production System and BOST researches as a tool of measure, among other things, the importance of visual control in production companies. The level of importance of visual control usage as one of the production process elements in the analysed company was indicated. The usage of visual control is a main factor in a production process of the analyzed company, the factor which provides continuous help to employees to check whether the process differs from the standard. The characteristic progression of production process elements was indicated and the SW factor (the use of visual control) took the third place, PE factor (interruption of production when it detects a problem of quality) turned out to be the most important one, while the least important was the EU factor (granting power of attorney down). The main tools for this evaluation : an innovative BOST survey - Toyota's management principles in questions, in particular, the Pareto-Lorenz diagram, radar graph and series of importance as graphical interpretation tools, were used to present the importance of each factor in relation to individual assessments.

    This chapter presents the research results on the functioning of the quality control system at the steelworks. The study was conducted using an innovative BOST method. Highlighted the need to improve processes visual inspection as a means of improving the quality of finished products.     In the article a risk analysis of the production process of selected products in a plant producing votive candles was conducted. The Pareto-Lorenz diagram and FMEA method were used which indicated the most important areas affecting the production of selected elements of candles. The synthesis of intangible factors affecting production in the audited company was also carried out with particular emphasis on the operation of the production system. The factors determining the validity of studies was examined, describing the principle of BOST 14 Toyota management. The most important areas of the company were identified, positively affecting the production process.

    In the article analysis of the discrepancies in the production process for selected products in a company producing candles was carried out. Using the Pareto-Lorenz diagram and the FMEA method the most essential areas having influence on the production of candles were shown. Apart from factors connected with the manufacturing side of the process, factors of the labour organization and requirements concerning the quality of material were also noted. An appropriate quality of equipment constitutes one of the essential conditions of production process functioning and this directly influences manufacturing possibilities of the enterprise. A synthesis of immaterial factors that influence the production of the enterprise, taking into consideration conditions of functioning the production system, was also carried out. The set of factors selected for description was the fourteenth Toyota management principle. Respondents were asked to provide answers which could bring the best improvements.
