Opis:: The paper attempts to find the answer to a question for the opposition nature of so-cial movements. The main question is: can we call social movements the opposition? If yes, are all types of movements deserving of this name? Consequently, issues of this paper are regarding the non-institutional politics which is becoming at present more and more significant. Used argumentation in the paper allows for the formulation of the statement that in accepting the appropriate definition of both politics and a social move-ment, we can treat every social movement as an entity belonging to the institutional politics; an entity which meets the conditions of being an opposition. This statement is trying to meet contemporary understanding the politics, and is a response to the ongoing changes in the womb of democratic systems.

Opis:: The article is a form of reflection upon the research subject, the research methods and the aim of research on social movements and political thought. The author of the article suggests that in the research being carried out one should use methods characteristic of other scientific disciplines and the terms used in other sciences, for example in medicine, cognitive science or sociology. Replying to the question of the aim of research, the author explains that science is to serve the cognition and understanding of the world. Science is not supposed to be an art cultivated by a small circle of scholars in order not to contribute to the degeneration of the social system.

Opis:: The purpose of the article is the presentation of the origins of the 1996 Solidarity Elec-toral Campaign, an electoral union composed of right-wing and centre-right parties. On the basis of this, the cornerstone of the political party AWS Social Movement was created. The conditions which led to the creation of the aforementioned subject in Rzeszow are subject to analysis, and the participation of AWS and AWS SM in parliamentary, local and presidential elections in the region is characterised. Issues which have a de-structive impact on AWS and caused its dissolution are also discussed.

Opis:: The aim of the research was to investigate the nature of the political dispute in social media of the Polish national movement (‘National Media’). The following research questions were formulated: 1. What is the purpose defined and implemented by the ‘National Media’; 2. What are the subjects of the political disputes in the ‘National Media’ project of the Polish national movement; 3. What is the involvement of social media users in the published materials? The subject of the research were social websites YouTube and Twitter, where the 'National Media' project is based. The research covered one calendar month of April 2018. During the research content analysis was used.
